She may have been opposed on certain things, but France had withdrawn from NATO integrated command structure in 1966 to become more independent from USA/UK dominance. The Germans also learn others and even if they don't, they practise it a few times before the state reception.
A good music company/honourary company should be able to play another national anthem quite quickly.
