That seems like a crazy tight slip with any wind or current. Do you believe a typical recreational captain (with proper training) can realistically operate out of such a tight slip ongoing? Seems like an accident waiting to happen with unfavorable wind or current. Seems like a spring line approach that the deckhand picks up with the boat hook might de-risk it
