Early development
In 2015, after Total War: Warhammer was announced but before it released, Creative Assembly announced that they planned to create a trilogy of Total War: Warhammer games.[1]
In 2016, Russian data-miners discovered plans in the Total War: Warhammer game files for a third game featuring Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Slaanesh as factions.

Total War: Warhammer is part of Creative Assembly's grand strategy Total War series. Set in the grim, high fantasy world of Warhammer Fantasy, Total War: Warhammer pits many unique races in a struggle for domination of the Old World. The emperor was to unite the empire, but the College of Magic and the Nuln Gunnery School refused to acknowledge him as their emperor and denied him their services.

Both buildings are closed because Gelt and Elspeth are still debating if using magic to enhance gunpowder weapons is worth it or no
And they're spending Karl's 'protect the empire' fund on debating. This is why Karl can't have good things.

We all know Karl is the main character of Warhammer Fantasy, so it's good that I don't have to play as one of the side characters in order to enjoy their cool campaign mechanics.
@@Famousagentman gonna warn you though, the way to get schematics is kinda bugged, sometimes you get the option to salvage ammunition to get schematics after the battle but mostly didn't (there's no option to get arcane essay either but you still get the arcane essay in every battle loot) The only way for absolutely get the salvage ammunition option available is if the lord in the battle was gelt, and the enemy you face must from the Vanilla race (i've tried to attack some race from OVN Lost Faction and some mixu lord as gelt, still didn't get the salvage ammunition)

I feel like this can't be the Empire's last rework. Ultimately, the empire campaign should be all about Unification and a mass campaign against the Forces of Chaos. Karl Franz will never feel like Karl Franz until he's his hands in all within the Empire's domain, and frankly, all the other order Races too.
I have hope for the End Times to be its own game mode and finally feel like a character-driven Warhammer experience.

I actually think it would be really cool for order factions to be able to assimilate mechanics of confederated legendary lords. they'd probably need a nerf for that to not be insane, but still.
If every faction could do it, it wouldn't be OP. Imagine how actually engaging the mid to late game could be if you're juggling all the assimilated mechanics

SUMMOM THE CAMPAIGN MECHANICS
2 things. One. I think they call it separation of power in order to make sure Emperor does not get too powerful with an army of wizards. And 2. Does anyone else see the subscriber number being 99.8 instead of 99.9 like Tarriff said it was this morning?
Would be nice if you could get access to those as an Empire player regardless of faction, even if only Elspeth gets access to the Amethyst variants.
Also, the landmark in Nuln had recruitment options in Warhammer II, lost them in Warhammer III, got them back in Warhammer III and lost them again with the latest DLC.
More landmarks need to offer recruitment options of the units they affect so you don't need to double-dip.
Freaking magic/engineering monopolies, and woe be to Elspeth D. Rockefillisch and Gelt B. Dukell
Yet able to summon all 13 electors in 1 go is in my opinion insane and able too summon those send aid armies on any territory you own is brilliant vs any Ai tryna back door you

I wish they made it so you can get access to the mechanics of other lords if you confederate them (if you own the DLC, that is).

I wonder if they could add a feature in which you get the mechanics of that faction if you defeat or confederate them and you are the same race as they are so let's see if you defeat Grom the punch with Grimgore for example you would get Grom's kitchen mechanics because you defeated them I think the Emperor should get access to the colleges and the gunnery school if they control the faction. I think it just makes sense.

Platform 9 and 3/4 was epic XD.
He may not use them, but he can now go maximum political shenanigans with the Empire. And after researching he can go full High Elf Mode and essentially create the Ordertide by himself.

I finished a complete full world domination with Franz today and i have to say that if he gets access to Nuln Gunnery School that would be overpowered.
