While he is a mad scientist that is in terms to other dwarfs who see any invention as unsuitable to field tests if it is less than 100 years old. Some dwarfs still see guns as a new fad and they invented them and gave them to the empire. Meaning they've been around for a century or two. But I love his accent 😂

To be fair Malakai is a bit of an odd slayer, hence why he is teaching rather then looking for death, and in the books he shows genuine concern for his students and is rather upset when one is killed.
What I love is that the technology to replicate a steam tank that is basically a giant stove is so impossible for the empire to replicate that they gave up trying to make more. but a wind-up mechanical warhorse is entirely possible

Someone should tell generic imperial gunman number 4602 that he's now part of a Gotrek & Felix adventure, which means he's very likely going to survive somehow as the worst Slayer the mortal realm's ever known lives up to his name and sends all of Nurgles forces back into the chaos wastes, complaining once more that nothing thrown at him managed to do him in for good.

The funny thing, is that this is entirely in canon (or cannon, if you want bad pun). Malakai was made a professor at the Nuln Gunnery school in the Gotrek and Felix novels (specifically mentioned in "Manslayer" by Nathan Long), though I think he probably left the position after the Gunnery school was indirectly responsible for getting the Spirit of Grunghi destroyed thanks to a heretic Bright Wizard and several nuln-made cannons that had been tainted by the powers of Chaos.
Now we just need to have Thanqol put into the game. Hell, Thanqol could even have an entire quest mission centered around him trying to get the Spirit of Grunghi. :D
