Very well done., it has greatly improved that area of your movie room. There’s nothing better than a great collection of physical media organised and curated on decent storage solutions and your new shelves look fabulous. It will be easier for you to show in a future (hopefully) video of horror VHS cassette tapes.
Fantastic job! I desperately need to do something similar. I have hundreds of over flow movies (mostly bluray and 4k) stacked up by my shelves on the floor and really need to get all of them organized and displayed properly. A few boxes of vhs in the closet need a proper home as well. I don't have anything close to your amazing movie library though! Great vid and absolutely love your set up!
Great job! Have you tried using Kreg pocket hole system and screws? I built some shelves using them but used 2x6's because they were actually cheaper than 1x's at the time and may still be. It might save you from having to use the router. Enjoyed the video! 👍
Looks great! Have you noticed any sagging over that distance? I'm looking to build something similar but wasn't sure about having more than 30in without another vertical support
I'm lost for words- fantastic storage upgrade! Damn impressive!
Thank you!
I’ve never been able to cut a straight line with a circular saw. I ended up buying a table saw and it works so much better for me.
you take great care of your collection!!!👍👋
Thank you!
Great job! That area of your collection looks much more pleasing to the eye! 👍🏻

You need support for the middle of the shelves

I think a wood router is best for shelves. You don't have metal support brackets which can scratch books and DVD cases.
This was crazy unexpected! Where did you learn to do all this contruction?
My dad is very handy and so growing up I always watched him fix/ build things
Looks great! Have you noticed any sagging over that distance? I'm looking to build something similar but wasn't sure about having more than 30in without another vertical support
So that is why I used L brackets in the middle of the shelf to help support it. Since I built these I haven’t had any issues
@kylesmoviecollection ah! I missed the L brackets in the middle. Definitely makes sense. Thanks!
@@mafq53 no problem! Hope your shelves come out nice!
The last time I built a shelf like that I made a template/jig for pre-drilling holes for the side screws.
Okay i'll take 2 for blurays. Thank you :)
think you for the tips for my movie collection & you are a great man!
