David Lynch is my favorite too. I think he’s the most original filmmaker of all time. I wish criterion would get the rights to twin peaks the return (which is my favorite thing he’s ever done) and release it as a 17 hour movie haha. I’d totally watch that in *almost one sitting.

I would love to see a full twin peaks release in the criterion collection! Im getting ready to rewatch the return… its so weird but it’s beautiful!

And episode 8 is a masterpiece of filmmaking. Also I lose track of time when I watch it. I’ve probably watched the show about 5-6 times now since it’s release. Love the world he creates

The Lure! I think you're the first youtuber movie person to review that spectacular film. I've watched it 3 times on The Criterion Channel over past couple years and it is so unique and enjoyable; you summed it up quite well. Will probably get the blu-ray this November B&N sale.

I definitely think it’s underrated! More people need to see it! I really want to upgrade to the Blu-ray soon!

Not really a review as such ...more of a mention...still, it's a great film.

Nice choices. Especially enjoyed Slacker.I'm just starting to explore the Criterion Collection and have been pleasantly surprised so far. Glad to see Wall-e as there needs to be more animated films! Recommend watching The Great Dictator and Gimme Shelter. Charlie Chaplin's final speech is perhaps even more relevant today as it was then and the haunting rendition of Under My Thumb at the climax was incredible to watch.

David Lynch is the man for sure. Love everything he has done. Lost Highway is great and the soundtrack is one of my all time favorites. Need to check out Linklater's Slacker. Have not seen that one yet.

I have Burden of Dreams (it was a random $1 pickup!) and it's too bad they didn't put the actual movie he made in that package. It just seems like the documentary could have been an extra to the actual movie. I wasn't a fan of Lost Highway and the only other title I have from him is Dune (which requires reading the original trilogy to even half-way understand). My favorite criterion watches so far include Thief, Straw Dogs, and Klute.

I like Fitzcarraldo and I wish it was in the criterion collection. I love thief and I haven’t seen the other two but they will be on my list now! Thank you!
