I could listen to Shelly discuss the art of acting for hours. Speak softly and think loud in movie acting. Love this. Acting through the eyes. Absolutely. That’s my main complaint with Tom Cruise . He acts with his jaw and delivers every line with the same intensity. Jack Lemmon and spencer Tracy are my favorite actors.

It was like Spencer wasn’t even acting. Meryl Streep is the same way

Too bad Jack lost in 1963. He was much better than Gregory Peck in To Kill aMockingbird. Pecks was not bad but pretty Wooden in his performance imo.

He did win in 1976 for his 1975 Neil Simon movie which was wonderful as usual.. The Academy owed him. RIP Jack Lemmon.

As a '70s disaster movie fanatic, I love that this interview with Shelley begins and ends with music from "Airport!" She looked really good here. And the interviewer was pretty adept, too.

In promoting _S.O.B._ (16:25), it's interesting that Shelley doesn't mention that her character is based on legendary agent, Sue Mengers, who managed Streisand, Ryan and Tatum O'Neal, Dyan Cannon, Cher, Burt Reynolds, Ali MacGraw just to name a few.

I remember Jim Whaley. He was quite a well-informed interviewer. Is he alive? If so, I hope he's healthy and content. I enjoyed his interviews in the late 70s and 80s.
