The All in the family Bette Davis crossover I didn’t know I needed! Jean was so classy!
Bette Davis should have had her own talk show!
never thought i'd see bette davis interview the 'all in the family' cast 😅😅😅
I heard her say it was one of her favorite shows.
Wow. All those late great legends, so much class on one stage. Dinah Shore, the delightful Jean Stapleton, Sally Struthers, and, of course, the GOAT 🐐 Bette Davis. Who knew Miss Davis could be such a good interviewer/host?
This is an INTERVIEW: ruclips.net/video/jsKGXFuXbbo/видео.html
bette davis has been presented with so many honors and awards, i'm sure it was very satisfying for her to give that back by honoring others.
All young people today should get to know this show.
My favorite will always be the cling peaches "in heavy syrup".
I will love all of these wonderfull people for ever , for as long as I live ..... and hope to meet them here after ..... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤And my , what a beautiful song ....... 😢😢😢
This was a wonderful, heartwarming show! For Jean to sing the song that Judy and her husband came up with, was a wonderful tribute to them. All the people we grew up with are gone now, but thankfully we have these shows to look back on and bring joy. ♥️♥️
Miss Stapleton is a great actress outside of Edith Bunker. Ty so much for letting others hear her voice. I'm sure it's some of your viewers first time to hear her not being Edith.
Honest, Lots of us have heard Jean being Jean - for awhile after All in the Family no but as she did Broadway and Tv Movies, everyone did. Jean ADORED Edith! So did we.
Awesome interviews with all. Who knew Jean Stapleton had that singing voice. ❤️
My era ❤
Carol and Jean were old school - and just awesome. Many now realize Carol was a well-known character actor in many classic movies.
Lovely.
From all accounts, Dinah Shore was a much loved lady! The same could be said about Jean Stapleton...❤
Jean Stapleton had a lovely singing voice.
He is so handsome he truly is rip
I had no clue that Jean had such a nice singing voice! WoW!!
She was on Broadway in Damn Yankees and Bells Are Ringing.
I think her voice sounds terrible however I have immense respect for her as an actress
@@saugusguy Ok... all opinions should be considered!
She was also in the original Funny Girl on Broadway, and even made her opera debut at the New York City Opera.
See how classy talk shows were back then I was 7 years old
My first visit to DC I had to go see Archie's chair. I didn't care about any other exhibits, just the chair. I have no regrets. By the time Danielle was on AITF the show was pretty much on life-support, but this is a great clip..mostly thanks to Bette
Dinah Shore a class act,i never saw this kind of the Dinah show ...
Jeane looks so pretty in her pink dress . I would wear that.
Thank you for this
I didn't realize Dinah Shore had such a Southern drawl...
Born and bred in Tennessee.
thanks for uploading!!! love your channel!!!
I never knew that they had already promised Sally Struthers a spinoff as early as 1978.
My Grandfather had a chair that was his & only his, at the kitchen table & he rarely left it.
Tim Conway had quite a few series that he was on for only thirteen weeks, so he had a California vanity license plate made that said "13 Weeks"...
Thank you !!!
Omg Bette looked so cute here
Ms. Stapleton was referring to a famous musical she was in called "Bells ayre Ringing" which was later made into a movie starring Dean Martin as well as Jean Stapleton and Judy Holliday...❤
*Are Ringing
Alan!! You got my vote 🗳 again! Best video from an unknown source. Congratulations Alan. Ty again.
This is awesome! Thanks for posting it. I could be wrong, but, in contrast to their appearance with Donny and Marie Osmond over 20 years later, it kinda seems like Carroll O’Connor is speaking with Archie’s voice throughout the whole interview. Jean Stapleton is definitely using her own voice, of course. In their appearance with Donny and Marie, they refused to do Archie and Edith‘s voices, even when Donny offered to pay them $20.😊
Cause it's patronizing.
I remember that Donny & Marie interview. It was appalling. Jean Stapleton was not going to demean her Edith character, or demean herself as an actress for a little circus routine. I used to be friends with Claudia Cummings, an opera singer who toured with Marie Osmond in The Sound of Music. Claudia said, I’ve never seen someone parlay so little talent into such a thriving career.
Seems like the last two seasons of Dinah! were taped at Golden West Videotape.
Did they even acknowledge Danielle sitting there ?
Really, why was she there? They didn't have her sing or even talk.
БЭТТ ПРОСТО СУПЕР
Poor Bette...she had to hustle like crazy those last few years. Anyone read the book by the lady she moved in on? The greatest actress America ever produced and nothing of import for her to do.
I was gonna say- she's singin' for her supper here. Crazy.
she really stuck to this look for a while - she actually looks way better from 1980 to 1983 - she went back to more natural hair and ditched these glitzy eyeglasses. Looked absolutely wonderful
Norman Lear, who is now 100, had a difficult time when it was decided that the character of Edith should be killed off. He spoke to Jean Stapleton about it and she said, (Im paraphrasing) Norman, you realize that Edith is just a character in a television show. He said, To me she isn't...
I didn't know Johnny Gilbert did anything else besides Game show announcing
Message in Sally's whine. Jean sings for help, and supper. Dani eats her weight off camera. Memories!
They are totally ignoring the little girl.
This show is edited, perhaps that is all that is on the tape. Lots is missing.

I was a about to say something not so easy about one of the celebrities on the show, but then realized they're dead and bit my tongue.
How terrible, they're all gone! My goodness, does this mean , we're next on board and have our ticket to ride ;)
this is only a half hour of the show. Episodes of Dinah's talk show ran roughly an hour more or less.
imagine Betty guest starring as Edith's bossy older sister visiting and driving Archie out of his mind lol. and Probably Mike"Meathead" also until she discovers they both have something in common...they hate Archie....Betty: "I was wrong about you kid, you're okay, you're just under stress from...that heathen over there in the chair."
Jean Stapleton is an amazing talent and have so much respect for her however her singing sounds like a cat is being strangled
Did Dinah shore actually do anything other than describe and kiss people on t.v.
I always liked Dinah Shore, but she was a terrible interviewer. She could have taken lessons from Bette Davis.
I’m sorry. I just do not like DS’s style of speaking. It is so distracting to the process.
I like Dinah Shore, but that garish necklace is just AWFUL!
Yikes! Regrettably, I agree.
