I have been looking forward to this! Loved this series and the weekly release. Cheers guys! My personal recommendations would be: Forgotten Waters, Sidereal Confluence and Argent the Consortium. And Trajan specifically for Zo since he really likes the mancala mechanism! Also, is the new Summoner Wars box worth getting if you have the first version? I already have the first one with a few expansions, which all can't be used with the new box...
Haha thanks for letting us know!! We appreciate your energy!! We've heard some great things about Forgotten Waters. That's one we're likely to get to. Sidereal we haven't looked into but will take the recommendation. We've never heard of Argent but we will add that to the list. Trajan is one I think we both will like but haven't found a copy in our area. Hmmm... that's hard to say since we never played 1st Edition Summoner Wars. I feel like I could refer you to Dice Tower since I know Tom has played both and has possibly said if 2nd edition is worth after playing 1st edition. Maybe if you find it on the cheap as well...
@@Theboardadventurers Awesome! Looking forward to an eventual reply or maybe review if you ever get to playing those games 😊 I am also a big fan of Leder Games en Wehrlegig Games, but since I didn't really see any area control type of games in both of your top 50s, I decided to not recommend any of them haha
Yeah, we don't have or play too many area control. We're about to pull out Fractured Sky this weekend, and we're pretty excited to try it out. We have Root but just haven't set it up. I think we'll have to push it up the play list.
Really don't think I've seen anyone with aquire in top 100 but that's cool. I haven't played it but I'm curious to see how different it is from big boss. Big boss I got because it was on sale for ten bucks and I wanted to investment style game that wasn't super lucky with die rolls. It's been a hit every time I've played it. So fun and interactive! Ever try it? Curious what your comparison would be if u have.
We haven't played Big Boss yet but have seen it at our local store. It seems like something up our alley. Sometimes the best games are the ones you get cheap and surprise you. If we end up getting the game we'll def put a video out for it.
@@Theboardadventurers seems to go on sale all the time haha. Just not always quite as low as 10 bucks. Was 16 bucks a couple days ago on Amazon. After playing it I would easily spend at least 30 bucks on this game. It's been a blast! ☺️
That description is starting to become very convincing... a dangerous game for the wallet haha. We might need to take a closer look at the back of the box next time we see it.
Crokinole? Top ten? I almost turned the video off right then. But what the heck, I'm sure people don't agree with my favorite games either. Alright, Zo. What else you got? Not bad. You've redeemed yourself with Dune Imperium. Now about Mark preferring Lost Ruins of Arnak. Absolutely stunning artwork and production. I'll credit CGE for that and it's still quite a good game. You mentioned racing up the track. Dune Imperium has got that as well. For me it is the perfect blend of Deck Building and Worker Placement. Watch Monique and Naveen play the first expansion and tell me that is not an epic game. And don't feel bad about only guessing 9 of Zo's top picks. Nobody was ever getting that last one.
