"I don't like for a game to have that many expansions" - Spencer "I have all the expansions for Everdell" - Also Spencer I have Islebound! I love the look of all of Ryan Laukat games and Red Raven Games! Lost Ruins is also a favorite of mine! I have all the expansions, but I did a different box storage solution for it. I made it from card stock, but it's great! Root is great, but it is one of the few that I do not own. I wish I had it, but I don't think that I would be able to ever table it. I don't have enough friends that would be into the game as much as I am... I'm so jelly for all of the handmade figures! I love your list, Spencer!!! Great games!
Btw, Root has expansions that add automated factions (“bots”) that fill in for as many human players as you want. They are decently complicated though, and of course they don’t play exactly like human players, but in my experience they are a pretty solid edition.
Happy birthday for 6 days ago. Those are some awesome birthday gifts. Thanks so much for letting me know about tabletopaudio. I was shoehorning movie soundtracks in, but this is much better for many games. Your #1 is the number #1 of many people in my local game group.
I have Root base game,Marauder and E&P deck expansions on my shelf, but have no idea how to play. And wonder shall I be able to play it in the future or not...
Hey, 50% being pre-2020 isn't too bad, right? 🤓 The problem with dry euros is I haven't had anyone to play them with in years.... so I haven't played one in years. Unless you count Nucleum? I did enjoy that! But also, post-2020... I can't win with this list! Or the games on it! Now I'm rambling! - Spencer
how are you liking Arcs vs. Root?! For me, Dune Imperium and Endless Winter both easily beat out Arnak but man Arnak is so broadly loved! Great list thanks for sharing
I haven't played Arcs yet, but I have it on preorder! I do have Endless Winter but I've only played it once. I really need to play it again soon. -Spencer
So, what I learned from watching this video is that Spencer has terrible handwriting lol. Welcome to the club. I always like seeing favorite videos like this. Maybe I'll get exposed to more games I haven't heard of. We have some overlap on games. Arkham Horror the 3rd edition is the boars game right? I'm already invested into the LCG myself. I did buy similar wooden insert years ago for Clans of Caledonia. Everdell world is incredibly cute. Reminds me of reading Redwall as a kid. I backed the big box originally. I still find it a thinky game for me an optimization puzzle of the cards since you can have at most 15 laid out. And lots of directions to go in.
Yes, the 3rd edition of the game is a board game. I find that it takes some of my favorite elements from Eldritch Horror, Mansions of Madness, and AH The Card Game and mixes them up into the board game. Love it! - Spencer
This felt kinda half baked - “Here’s my favorite board game. *digs through the box and messes around on tangents…Next game”. 1. Talk about the game- how many players it plays, how long, what genre. 2. Talk about WHY you like it. 3. Show pre-filmed footage of the game while you’re discussing it, where the game is set up. 4. If you’re gonna talk about a third party product (like the inserts), plug it with a link. The only thing I took away from this is the 10 games you like the most. But I know next to nothing about the games you showed, coming out of this.
Thanks for the feedback! We recorded this during one of our livestreams and the format is a little more casual during those. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and sharing your thoughts. - Spencer

Very true. I do have the first Clockwork expansion and they work very well. - Spencer
Happy to see red cathedral, honey buzz (my #1), parks, and sleeping gods on there! Miss gaming with you guys!
Hooray for fun games! Say hi to Gromit for me :)
Thanks for sharing your top ten! I feel like my taste in games is very similar to yours. I don’t have Root but now I need to check it out.
Very strong list with plenty of games that I would regard as top picks myself.

Thank you! I'm always happy to share the greatness that is Tabletop Audio. Thanks for watching! - Spencer
Man...Made me miss boardgaming with ya! Maybe sometime again in the future! Watching to see if your number 1 has changed!
Whoa!!!! All the way down to number 4!!!!!!!!
Great choice for number 1! I think we learned that one wayyy back!
Yes, great times! Let's break it out next time we cross roads :) -Spencer

Quick question, on your website you have Islebound Kickstarter version for sale. Does that include the metal coins?
It does!
I bought #10 because of the initial play-through. Now I want to go play it again! And I have #4 and #1 I still need to play. Soon. Soon.
Hooray! We influenced you... we are officially "Influencers." -Spencer
Not nearly enough dry euros in this list. We need to get you some more pre-2020 games. 😂

Have those same Root inserts (from MeepleRealty). I even stained and painted mine. So sad that there isn't a set for the 3rd expansion (or later). :(
Ooooooh stained and painted? Have you joined our Discord? If you have or haven't, we'd love to see pictures! nerdz.me/discord.
Root?? Color me shocked! :P
What color is shocked? Lime green? Neon yellow?

Speaking of root product restocks, when will the marauder expansion be restocked?
We have it on order. It should be here very soon!
Sorry I don’t know the other guys name, but where is his list? Happy belated birthday!🎉
Spencer's list is the first one of these videos that we've done. We'll do more soo. And, thank you! - Spencer
Feel this bee! 🐝😆
He felt it!

The Lost Ruins of Arnak insert is from Ukraine-based Tower Rex
Thanks for the tip!
They make beautiful inserts. I have their Gaia Project insert.
great😊
