This was insane and one of her very best studio vocals ever and that`s saying alot because Aretha had many glorious studio vocals . This was a beautiful love song , I love the music and beautiful arrangement as well . Great reaction.
I was listening to Let Me In Your Life a couple of days ago. With Pen In Hand is epic! That whole album from beginning to end is amazing! Her two self-penned tracks Oh Baby and If You Don't Think are phenomenal.
A couple of my favorite songs by her is Good To Me as I Am to you off of Lady Soul and Dark End of The Street off of This Girls in Love With you. I think you’ll like those
Since you brought up octoves I've been wanting to share this with you for a long time. This is definitely not to be an argumental statement. I'm just sharing. I love all 3 of the artist. It is mostly noted that Whitney Houston had a 3 octave range, Aretha Franklin a 4 octave range and Mariah Carey a 5 octave range. But believe me I study Aretha and she has some tunes that she shatters the 5th octave. Aretha though she rarely used her head voice until later in her career. Where she could go with her head voice in her prime she could duplicate the notes with her chest voice at will. When it comes to Aretha 40 years old and under. If you really did not know Aretha Aretha. Some would think some of the notes she was hitting were head voice but they were not that was her natural voice.
Hahaha I hadn't thought to request this at all so far but I'm so glad somebody did. She did too much stuff that's too mad for words!! She did those thrills on other tracks, especially after this. Have your heard her sing Donny's "A Song For You"? It's from the same album, I know you love that song! She kills it.
1971 “Call Me” live at the Montreux 1993 “I Never Loved a Man” live at her special 2014 “A Change Gonna Come” live at Bet Honors Three of her best performances!
And she wrote/composed this by herself, so you talking about the music: that was all her!
She is the greatest of all time
No discussion
She had such a great chest too mix belting voice. And her agility was so good. Aretha's 1965 - 1976 period was her artistical peak.
that was untouchable Aretha's Era

You need to react to Aretha singing When I Think About You, I'm Your Speed, and I got the music in me (Mumbles)
