I love to watch your reactions and agree with your accurate descriptions, but more so, I LOVE when I come across young people who are open or receptive to learning and embracing "old skool" people and occurrences! God bless you for that, it speaks volumes! Because there is nothing like studying history and being able to "connect the dots!" Especially, during this period in history where so many people feel and think it's proper, hip and trendy to CANCEL so much of history! I would like you to give your assessment of Aretha singing "Climb Every Mountain," that she performed on a Muhammad Ali Variety show. I think you would enjoy it!
This is one of my favorite songs from the Young gifted and black album by Aretha. Fun fact: When Aretha was being honored at the Thelonius Monk Jazz Institute she called Jennifer Hudson to do a tribute to her. She actually sung this exact song too and the funny part is Jennifer had turned 30 on the day she did the tribute. Love Aretha.
I'm an AFF ( Aretha Franklin Fanatic) her best performance if this song on video for me is on Soul Train and in person at the Apollo . Pull up the Soul T version a give it a look and listen.
I can ONLY listen to this version - I can't even listen to the studio version anymore (after like 2-3 years of discovering it). LoL You should check her out singing the live version of "Call Me" (MY FAVE) -- or "Dr. FeelGood" (warning she takes it to CHUCH!) 👀 👀 👀
Great video.... Can you react to Aretha songs ... `Master of Eyes` , ` Going Down Slow `, `Lean On Me `, `Until You Say You Love Me` and her live performance of `No No No I`m Losing You.....awesome vocals!!!
Can you do When I Think About You (1977) or More Than Just A Joy (1978) for Aretha? I KNOW you'll go crazy over her vocals and to me, she was in her vocal peak in the mid to late 70s.
Could you react to some of her gospel pieces? Don't know if you've seen the Amazing Grace documentary. So many gems, Mary Don't You Weep, How I Got Over, the You've Got a Friend medley. shook shook shook
Noooo not this one… I think you would have loved Bridge Over Troubled Waters from this album. This was good but wasn’t best performance on album. Bridge was the shining moment.
man I couldn’t agree more! the whole album is something exceptional but ‘bridge’ is probably the most phenomenal piece of them all. she’s in a perfect shape to do the crazies stuff with her voice and artistry!
Aretha in her prime is AMAZING TO LISTEN TO 🔥
The Queen can do anything with that gift of hers, long live the Queen of Soul.
Man, you are killing it with these prime Aretha reviews and I'm loving it. She had an out-of-this-world talent. Thanks for sharing.
Classic Areatha is straight education!
