This compilation album has so much magic that should have been released back then (some of it was). Sweet Bitter Love Demo, Lean On Me, It Was You, Tree Of Life, My Cup Runneth Over, My Way, Can You Love Again, and the alternative vocal of I'm In Love (in which the main melody is an octave higher). All astounding.
1st time “EVER” hearing this song. thank you for introducing and the reaction. this song (For Me) really brought out the RAWNESS and texture that Aretha had. #Bravo
Young gifted and black in a song first recorded in 1969 by Nina Simone and covered to perfection by Donny Hathaway in 1970 and Aretha also did a cover to it and titled her 1971 album after the song
Thanks Sir!! Excellent Job!! 1. Aretha Franklin Call Me Live (1970). She's singing sitting down in a chair with a red head covering. She was teaching all the woman That would come behind her how it's done, effortlessly. 2. Aretha Franklin / Respect/ 1967 / Best Version. 3. Aretha Franklin - Live at Concertgebouw Amsterdam 1968 - Dr. Feelgood. I hope you will pick one of them. I'm Aretha Franklin's number one fan. I have studied ALL of her live videos. And for those of you all that are getting ready to eat me up for that comment I just made. The good thing is I'm not her only number one fan.
@@noreneal7252 Wow!! You came into the game and hit a home run on your first swing! That 1993 live performance of Never Loved A Man is probably the Master Class performance that we have of that song. Her live performances of the song in the sixties like 1968 Amsterdam, are to be remembered as well. There are 2 other live recordings of her performing the song in her more mature period of life that would stand very high in the rankings. Their 1st would be live 1986 and the other would be Live at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Thanks for the vibe. Nothing like discussing The Queen. Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin said on a lot of her recordings she didn’t have an arranger. She would be just play around with it the song and do different things, and just see what she come up with.
@nore Neal and @Nippy x Mimi you guys should listen to her version of “somethin stupid” by frank and Nancy Sinatra if you haven’t heard it yet. She had many layers of her artistry
I have NEVER heard this: this is truly a first for me. Aretha, there simply not enough words to express how phenomenal she truly was. ❤
Aretha will take U there - Her vocal placement is impeccable - The Queen - ENJOYED YOUR Appreciation for Great Music...!!!
Young, Gifted and Black was an amazing album of hers.

Love your videos and reactions, also your easy on the eyes🙂😁

You should also react to three more outtakes by her “ lean on me” “trying to overcome” and “tree of life” their great, you won’t regret it
“Can you love again” and “I want to be with you” are something serious!!!
@@noreneal7252 " Lean On Me"is ridiculous! "Can You Love Again" also has such magic: "Your heart wants to say yes, but your mind is so confused!!"
@@NIPPYxMIMI Yep lol!! “Not ONE MORE heartbreak can you bear” ❤️🔥🙌🏾 Her writing skills are really overlooked!

Check out that Black & White video of her singing "no no no (I'm losing you)"...... that performance is brilliantly flawless.
Yes it is! That’s one of my favorite performances of her
@@blkdevil20 Her G5 note on that performance is unmatched til this day.

Queen Ree is the G.O.A.T.
Aretha Franklin did not play games when she did her thing.
Why does this guy keep skipping the 1972 Amazing Grace live performance? I guarantee he knows all about it.
