I just picked up my new 11 inch iPad Air today and am so excited! I agree it isn't the most exciting but considering that I am upgrading from my 8 year-old iPad 2 that I haven't used in a few years it is a huge deal for me! Thanks for the review.
I'm an animator and artist. I'm looking at the air now. I would love the 13 Inch. But I am on 10.5 inch pro now. If I got the pro it would be the 11 inch
in that case, always get the lightest colour. scratches less visible AND lighter colours actually reduce thermal issues. I heard apple always uses the light models of devices when conducting any kind of testing.
A month is far more longer term than the ones that come out on launch day - which is most of them. They, at best, have it for a week. At worst, they’ve had it for a day and publish a “review.” After years of doing these, there’s nothing I learn after 6 months versus a month.
@@AppleInsiderif that’s true then you would buy a 256 GB model, then after a month, you fill it until you have no storage left. Then you convince yourself you already knew this is how it is supposed to be. I guess you are the best driver you will ever be in 4 weeks. What a load of bs.
@@MultiMam12345 woah now. Storage is entirely subjective. Some people use 50GB some use 1TB. I'm not going to pretend I know how much storage everyone will need. Makes sense. I am buying my first ipad so will definitely go for the newest just because of the base storage and the little difference between prices of 5th and 6th, but if i already had the 5th i dont think i would update. Thanks for the video!
I just picked one up last night I went in for the 5th came out with the 6th mainly because double storage size at 128 was only 120 more than the 64gig 5th gen but I wish they had the colors from the 5th gen on the 6th
I would like to see the more vibrant, saturated colors on the iPads. I guess it doesn’t matter too much as I would always have this in some type of protective case. I would just get the color / design on the case
How can we think that introducing usb c is something special in 2024? Samsung have been doing it as standard for ages, with a much faster refresh rate as standard. People are accepting old tech purely because of the apple name, and paying much more for it.
@@Necca_UK Apple of course are not the only company who can offer this - some offer similar longevity for updates to base models such as Samsung. Plus you get all that with the cheapest iPad - so IMHO anything that is pitched at $599 with a 60Hz refresh rate in 2024 is poor. I’m not an Apple hater - I own Android and Apple devices both mid and high range - it is because of this I see that Apple is cash grabbing from their customers and short changing them. I would also like to know if the speakers in the iPad Air are good as the ipad pro 10.5 in., it has 4 speakers, what about the iPad Air? Plus I rather have a touch screen. Do I need to get the keyboard which initially never used it for the 10.5 in ipad pro?
This is just my opinion: I kind wish that Apple would make an adaptor of some kind to use the Apple Pencil Pro with the M1 iPad Air! That is the one thing I would love to use for multiple reasons (mostly the find my feature)! But like you said, it doesn’t seem worth it to upgrade the M1 iPad Air to the M2 just for that one thing!
As an iPad Air 5 owner, I've been thinking the same as you: it's not worth getting the new one. Yet. After WWDC, and we see what's new in iOS and the software - especially the AI - and which hardware you'd need for the experience and features you want, then it might just be worth it after all.

I have the the iPad Air 4 2020, and I’m thinking of upgrading. I use my iPad for art, digital design, note-taking, games, editing, and reading. Should I upgrade to the Air 5 or Air 6? I want something that’ll work great because the one I have now is 4 years old.
the price difference in my country between fifth and sixth is really close and according to your descriptions i would recommend the 6th since it is newer (air 5 came out 2 years ago) and has an m2 chip.
