Awesome! Thank you for the video. I jumped ahead and made the sashing. All instructions were great. Went on to the putting blocks in rows. Stopped to rest. Tomorrow is another day!

I am so far behind. And I was only going to make 6 of the blocks! I only have 2 blocks plus the candles-which turned out great! I think this one is my favorite block

Do you wash your fabric before sewing it?
I don't typically prewash.
@@CorianderQuilts I know some do because of dye bleed. I’ve just never thought about doing it until I watch another youTuber, demonstrating how some of your fabrics can bleed. But in all the years I’ve been seeing I’ve never had that issue. Thank the good Lord.
@@nancyschaffer7568 They absolutely can...and different quality fabrics can have different results in regard to bleeding. Fabric colors I would suggest prewashing would be those notorious for causing problems (reds, purples, navys) or those that might have shrink rates that could cause problems (I prewash homespuns or if I'm mixing fabrics in a quilt). Because I don't prewash, I always use several shout color catchers on the first couple washes of a new quilt.
With that being said, I didn't prewash any of my Starberry fabrics (reds!) and haven't had trouble with fabric bleed after washing (of course adding in those shout color catchers). I don't always follow my own advice. =)
