Epidemic Sound is an incredibly popular royalty free music service for youtubers and video creators. I went with Artlist because of your previous review. In your review, you mentioned that Artlist has the most generous licensing agreement because downloaded music can be used even after you're not subscribed. Phenomenal! I do like that Epidemic Sound offers stems for all their songs, allowing more creative flexibility. That said, I'm sticking with Artlist because of their outstanding licensing. I appreciate your reviews.
Hey crowe! Thanks for the comment! I just want to let you know that unfortunately artlist has changed their terms of use and now their licensing agreement does not allow creators to use downloaded music after their subscription has lapsed. Im not sure if this applies to music downloaded under the old terms or not, but I’m going to email my contact at the company for clarification. All the best!

Without watching your videos, only checking this one out out of sheer curiosity and actual interest in the matter, I will say this about Epidemic:
I seriously considered purchasing it, because out of the 3 songs I had heard, all of them I liked and loved.
Yes, the songs are so good I wanted to try it, however I am using these 3 songs in RUclips shorts, because they're available in the Audio Library.

Hi, thanks for your great video! I currently have a subscription to Epidemic sound, but I’m having problems with my playlist ever since the update. I’m no longer able to place my tracks in a particular order for a playlist. I have a fitness channel and have to play the songs while I’m filming in order. There used to be a 3 line horizontal bar where I could move the tracks, but now it’s gone. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your excellent videos. I read that Personal accounts are limited to platforms listed with Epidemic like RUclips, Facebook, etc. With other less famous websites and platforms you have to upgrade. Is this true? And what is the protocol if any for posting a credit to the composer/musician at the end of a film. Even if it's not required, is it recommended or a personal choice. Thank you again.
Thanks Kate! I can’t imagine you’d have an issue using epidemic tracks on non-mainstream websites, though I suppose it’s possible that their copyright detection might pick it up, I doubt it would. However, if you’re going to use the music for a film and plan to show it at festivals or distribute it etc., I would reach out to Epidemic directly as you would probably need to get an “enterprise” license for that. They’ll be able to answer your question about film credits as well.

I actually reached out to them but they haven't answered up to now... I'm new to it, so I don't even now, if I will have to clear itif I want to sell footage on a stock market for example (using the commercial subscription) and so on. Could you make a video for beginners? 🙏😊

Hi. Thankx so much for this very informative video. Just to clarify : using your link to get a free trial with epidemic sounds, I can use the music for any uploaded video during that month !? But I can not use any downloaded music after the test phase, in case I unsubscribe?
No problem! Yes, thats exactly right. Any videos posted during the trial will be cleared forever. You simply can’t post videos with epidemic sound’s music after your trial or subscription has expired.

I am using free trial of Epidemic Sound. I used music there for my 2 videos. First I get none in restrictions sections. But later when I checked I get copyright claim. Then I did some research and add my channel link to my Epidemic Sound account with going to "account -> Safelist". But still that copyright claim is not modified. How can I solve this problem? I am worried.

I actually paid for the subscription and thought it was a site for to do whatever you want with the music making. But, I ended up learning about that it's literally for to make and stream. Which I thought the sub fees paid the artists, so it can make personal use songs or just making songs you want to hear? Nope. It's for to stream.

When you pay for the subscription, are these all free to use? Even the beats, for your own songs?
Epidemic only allows you to use their music in video productions, you cannot use the beats to create your own music.

You can keep your content up! You just can’t post any NEW content after the trial is expired

Yep! It’s safe for both. There’s a place under your account details on epidemic sound where you post a link to your instagram account and your youtube account so they know not to claim any posts on them

I think you can go to the pricing section and sign up that way. But there’s nothing wrong with starting with the trial and just letting it continue onto a subscription… it would give you a full month for free so why not? 🤷♂️

So if I am understanding correctly, this music can be used as background music, but you cannot make a song with these beats and post them?
That is correct
So they also have instrumentals or beats on Epidemic sound i have been trying to reach out to them and see if im allowed to actually release the songs weve made with these instrumentals. I didnt even see licensing options
In their terms of use Epidemic states that their music is only allowed to be used as a part of visual media like youtube videos or films. It says remixes or using the music as a beat for original songs is not covered by the license.

I created a short on RUclips..had the sound already uploaded on my video, and got a strike… and I pay a yearly subscription to use their music!! SMH!!

As long as you have an active subscription you can use any song you download as many times as you want

Unfortunately not, you need an active subscription at the time of video posting to avoid copyright claims.

You mean you have a social media page and a website that has your social media embedded in it? You shouldn’t have any issues there. I’m not 100% clear on what you mean so please follow up if this didn’t answer your question!

Hi Maksym, I recommend you reach out to Epidemic customer support. They should be able to take care of this for you.
@@JosephMartin That is because it is a different channel from your licensed channel ( you have to put your personal channel link in your epidemic account) or in this case, you have to put the video link of your client's channel to your epidemic account. am I right?

thank god it's not a drop down menu for the genre selection. If a drop down of dance music had 15 items in the drop down... that's amateur. that's somebody just learning how to build a website and is excited to use drop downs.

If someday I unsubscribe that means all the previous videos that I use sounds and music from epidemic is going to get a copyrigh strike ? Hi! You link your youtube account to your epidemic sound profile under settings, thats how epidemic knows not to copystrike your videos.
Any videos you publish while you have an active subscription are cleared forever, even if you unsubscribe someday.
