I thought your review was phenomenal. I decided on Motion Array, finding that the cost was less, and if you search properly, many of the cinematic shots from Artlist can actually be found on Motion array as well! I also love the Premier plug in. Thanks again and I used your link - I hope it helps you out.
Fantastic and thorough video, appreciate it! Had no idea that Motion Array included a website and video sharing feature inside of the subscription I already had! Thanks for that great tidbit of information and value!
Thanks for this video. Just used your link for Motion Array. I've been using Artlist for music only this past year and really like it. I was able to snagged Artlist Max for the last two months of my subscription at a prorated rate. While all the offerings are great, I really find myself only needing music and SFX. So the cost of Motion Array makes more sense for me.
Thank you for the info, I’m leaning towards MotionArrays as I use Premiere Pro on a regular basis, I don’t care much about Artlists’ big music selection as I normally use video game music in my videos, and MotionArrays is cheaper. :)
Great video! But for the people that care most about plugins & presets, in that category there were some inaccuracies, Motion Array does feature plug ins for every program Artllist does and more, this is actually one of the strong suits of Motion Array and they should definitely have a point over Artlist Max here as they literally have the same templates, presets, plugins, but Motion Array has that plus a larger library along with great static and motion graphics.
Interesting video sir. I want to ask about artlist stock footage, I haven't subscribed yet, but when looking for LOG footage in the filter, why doesn't it look like LOG. Do I really have to subscribe and download it first to see LOG in the footage? thanks
I've already subscribed to Artlist only music and SFX Pro. But I need to Templates, footage and plugins, So i watched your video. Thx for this information. and I wanna ask u one thing. If I use stock photos more, then should i subscribe to MA? or Artlist max? Actually my mind move to Artlist max. But i usually use stock photos. so I confused that. Please let me know what is the best for me. Thank you.
Hey @PaulHeimlund I just switched over from Premiere to Resolve I was thinking about going with ArtlistMax for their Sound effects of course. And as far at templates and other things EnvatoElements instead of Motion Array. What are your thoughts let me know please?
Hey! Before Artlist and Motion array existed I used Envato a few times. However, I had problems with their licensing and haven’t used it for a few years now. Furthermore, the quality is very varied and for the price of a subscription with Motion array, I’d go with them. Remember that Motion Array also have sound effects. Maybe keep it clean and use only Motion Array? ;)
This was really helpful but I do have a question...I am looking to use one of these platforms and terminate my existing Epidemic sound membership so I will be saving $15 per month there. I am looking to add value to my own RUclips videos and also commercial videos by using plugins like map generators and also stock footage etc etc. I edit on FCPX...any advice?.... Thanks man
Hey! Tough decision. As you do commercial videos as well, Artlist Max might be the way to go, as their assets are of slightly higher quality. However, it’s double price compared to Motion Array. Personally I prefer Artlist, but if price is a deciding factor, for only $5 more than your Epidemic Sound subscription you sure get a lot of value. Sorry if my answer has confused you even more. Hahaha! Let me know if you need more advice and remember to use my links to apply a discount to your subscription ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Hey man. Thanks for the reply. I have tried to look on Artist to see if they even have plugins for FCPX that I need but can't see. Do you know if they even have a map generator? for at the start of travel videos to show the journey for example? Thanks
@@AndrewMacdonaldPhotography I just checked both Artlist and Motion Array. It seems like only MA has proper map generators for FCPX. Artlist has some map stuff, but it's probably not what you're looking for. You'll find these under TEMPLATES on both platforms, not plugins.
Just a piece of information: I read that Motion Array has been acquired by the Artlist team. If this is true I would be very confused about what to choose?
Artlist acquired Motion Array about a year ago and made it better. MA had a lot of old stuff and of lower quality. But now it’s really high quality. Both MA and Artlist are great tools, it’s up to you to decide which one suits you better ;)
Eventually the two services may merge into one if they figure out how to keep the budget conscious users from motion array but maintain the profit margin of artlist
Guys! Artlist just added DaVinci Resove templates to their platform! This might be a game changer for many. Check link in description ;)

Great to hear! You’re gonna love Motion Array and thanks for using my link 😊
I have been watching your videos for a while but this is just on another level. This should be in IMAX.

Glad you found the video valuable! Thanks 🙏🏼
Great video. Very informative and balanced. I appreciate your perspective.
Glad you liked it. Thanks!
Hello, I speak from Brazil and thank you for your video. I decided on motionarray but I needed to know if it was a good choice and you helped me.
Motion Array has probably the best quality compared to value in the market, so you’ve made a good choice ;)
I went to see both and I decided on Motion Array because it has what I need for half the price. I used your link :).
Cool! You’re gonna love it!
Exactly the video I've been looking for. Thank you!
I bought Artlist because I consider it more professional and easier to find high quality music
Cool! I agree ;)

Do you perhaps have a video on Envato as well ?
I used Envato a few years ago, but after Artlist max and Motion Array came I stopped using it, as for me they are better. So, no Envato video ;)
Good morning,
Thanks for this comparison video.
Do you know how to choose the FPS of a rush in Artlist ?
Hey! You can’t search for FPS, but rather if the clip is slow motion, super slow, or fast.
Hope this answers your question ;)
Awesome review ! I have decided to go with Motion Array because I am using Davinci and the templates would work the best! Cheers
Thanks! A great choice, especially when using Davinci. Cheers!
Artlist does offer Davinci Resolve Templates.

Will it require I have Premier or one of the other platforms to use? You cant use iMovie?
Music, sfx, pictures, and footage will work in iMovie, but no templates…
Thorough video and thank you for chaptering!
Thanks! No problem ;)

Great! Which one did you go for?
when i open this video the ad was of envato elements👾 .What a timing😂
can your videos still be licensed after not having and active subscription for artlist??
Yes! All videos uploaded while having an active subscription are licensed for ever.
for both platforms ?@@PaulHeimlund
iz ih "both "platforms or "boph" platforms?

Isn't Motion Array included in Artlist Max?
Nope, they’re two different platforms
Can I use that flatform sir . although I'm in Philippines...
You should be able to use these platforms from wherever you want to.
@@PaulHeimlund but how to pay these platforms...we only have peso....

Great video. Interesting that Artlist is the parent company of MotionArray
Yeah, they purchased Motion Array last year and made it much better than it used to be ;)
Artlist is the owner of Motion Array
I just need video game b roll footage and cant find anywhere to get it
Sit down and play a game an hour a week and screen record. I’ve gotten so much Broll by casually playing
yeah our team figured it all out@@bass4512
Thanks for showing the difference between the platforms. Fortunately, Artlist has better plugins and more) Subrscibed)
I am about to purchase Motion Array, and perhaps get Artlist as well- please send me your affiliate link as I want you to get your well earned credit.
The links are in the video description :)
Did you know Artlist owns motion array? What a monopoly.
Exellent video
