@@BO2R3aperGamIng I think they have a sizing guide on the website, but it's probably similar to your t shirt size. They have a new material out now that's even better for Level 3A+. I would definitely go that route. Looks like it's lighter and it's much more rigid under impact somehow, but still flexible. @TopshotDustin just did a video on it. I'll be switching as soon as they come up with a trade in program of some kind.
Anyway, if you wear a 3XL t-shirt, probably the 3XL vest is good. Personally, I chose a size larger so I could wear mine over a light jacket if I wanted.

Yes it works but it also has its issues. I will say you get what you pay for. I have the exact same kit and I spend five days a week working 12 hour shifts on duty in Southern California. I’m not sure short of it being military issue any gear that’s gonna be able to put up with that kind of abuse. Overall performance is good. Just needs to be tightened up a little bit. It’s also learning how to move around with that much armor on your torso.

Just a little error, MrG: Most """concealable""" armor isn't meant to be super low profile. It's mean to be worn underneath your uniform on duty so that you're still in compliance with dress code policies of most police, security, corrections, bounty hunters, etc.

I don't know which of his vids he's talking about where he toured the Safe Life facility in Vegas. But in this one, ruclips.net/video/PeMzY7WEQkM/видео.html , he tours the place and all I can see being assembled by Americans is some of the webbing and decorations, and maybe an outer carrier vest. (Admittedly, they would have a vested interest in not allowing him to show certain parts of their process for trade secret reasons.)

The thing is, what chances do you think the need to actually have armor is? As someone that is thinking about purchasing armor that's the question I keep asking myself .
Although I still try to live a happy life, try not to get drug down and depressed with all the BS I have got rid of the BS in my life.. Although I do quite well for myself I do not play the keep up with the Jones BS and have the need for materialistic things. My monthly bills use to be north of $1500. Vehicle payments, latest and greatest cell phone and service, cable, internet, you name it . I cut the cable cord and don't watch TV at all (except when visiting friends. My brain is no longer being slowly turned into mush), I rock a prepaid $40 cell phone that cost me $60 a month. That covers my entertainment and keeping up on what's going on. My good commuter vehicle is a 1997 with 290k miles (but can go cross country at the drop of a hat. I maintain and fix it myself. I've spent less than $150 on it in 3 yrs other than general maintenance).. I did splurge on myself a couple years ago and bought myself a 2013 Harley.
Body armor to me is far different than most things. For instance, I just put together my first rifle with night vision. I have never hunted critters at night, I basically built it as a prep. If nothing happens I can still use the rifle and the night vision to go coyote hunting or go down to Oklahoma or Texas and shoot ferrel hogs. Body armor would only be a prep for something like a shtf situation.. Although I'm a "I'd rather have and not need, than need and not have" type, body armor is a very expensive prep that that money would be better spent elsewhere in my opinion. I'm also of the opinion that if anything does happen the less you expose yourself to others the greater your chance of survival will be. I see body armor as a ok I'm sitting really good on everything but armor prep. I have mixed feelings. Although I'm not looking for a fight, I'm getting ready for one the best I can.
I realize not everyone is in my situation. But a friend for instance. Whenever I make a prep purchase like say a rifle or cases of ammo he is quick to say "it must be nice to be able to afford it" while sitting on his azz watching his big screen TV that he pays $200 a month for cable or while he sits in his pickup he is making $600 month payments on . Lol

You are right, even the little things we don't think of add up fast. I was amazed at the amount of money I use to spend running the bars, saved a bunch when I only drank at home, saved even more once I started rarely drinking at all. Don't get me wrong, still have my vices and a continuous change in progress. I do think it boils down to what you believe the chances of needs is. People with less will have to sacrifice more of modern conveniences. But if you ask me, people accustomed to less will have an advantage over most that are use to having more if something does go down
