      If you know anything about statistics, it is extremely hard to aim (with a gun) and hit someones legs or arms. Very very difficult with adrenaline and moving target. Plus it protects your vitals. As far as a knife, again, it protects your vitals. There are such things as leg, arm, hand, head, etc armor. But this protects your lungs, heart, etc and is much more comfortable than wearing a duty belt....furthermore, if you get in a fist fight your torso suddenly becomes invincible

    • @bsnuff2002
      @bsnuff2002 4 года назад

      @@matthewphillips5483 i would argue the best question to ask is, what is the best protection one coule use to take the least amount of damage. If it's this vest then sweet! If not what is, becauese when it comes to safety one would want the best not just better than a shirt.

    • @another3997
      @another3997 3 года назад

      @@bsnuff2002 The "best" is relative. You have to consider the trade off between weight, mobility, cost and protection. Wearing 300lb of armour head to toe might make you safe from most common weapons. But you could hardly move, and would soon be exhausted.

    • @another3997

      You don't have to look very hard to find out they were right. Stab protection requires a different properties to bullet protection. This vest is constructed very differently to 'normal' 3A soft armour.
