I have Lvl 3A and LvL 3A+ for both my jobs. Love both of them. Both are not too heavy and very comfortable. Just can’t afford the FRAS and neither departments I work for have the the funds for the FRAS. Maybe someday

Hey at least you're good against most common threats. That's great. I started with a 3A surplus vest that someone else had for a while and slightly smelled like aged sweat that i bought at a gun show for 280 lol

  • @richardchang5499

What about side panels in the front? I have side panels, that i dont use because my vest is a medium. For extra protection.

I'm 5ft11" With a 29 Insane So longer Upper body and shorter legs And way about 265 Should I go with a 3X or 4X? I don't want the vest to be too Big Where it's loose on me But I also don't want it to be too small. Where is too much of a gap between where the front and back meat on the sides?

Joe if you are talking about the FRAS, based off that rounds specs. The FRAS should have no problem stopping it.

  • @pmorin313

By adding the ICW plates to the level 3a give you level 4 protection. That said what protection do the plates offer themselves?. I've gone back and forth with safe life about this and they won't answer this. Seems like a ploy to sell another 350.00 in armor. 3a protects up to .44 Magnum so you add the plate and POOF!! your covered against 30.06. AP! I don't understand the ambiguity..
