Thank you for the knowledge, Jeff! Simple informational videos that highlight the how and the why behind gear usage is more important than finding the coolest, slickest kit out there. Keep this stuff coming, brother!

@rkgrkg1384 It's pricey and a little heavy, but it's flexible and easy to wear.

The price is just gonna add up if you want the quality. If I’m working security then I want the best so this is it

Great video. Thank you for including the price. I believe they are running about $1,200.00 now. I believe they are worth it.

I keep a 12x18 IIIa tombstone in my backpack. 1.5lbs and protects against the most likely threat: robber. Turn and run or hold it as a shield. No one knows it’s there, so it draws no attention. No issues with heat, maneuvering, or attire since it’s external.

Enjoy your videos. Simple, informative, but still entertaining without the bull like other channels with real experience to back it up. I have a couple of suggestions for videos if you're interested. (1.) How you would do a "full threat" concealment loadout, if that makes sense. (2.) Travel loadouts or EDC when flying and by car.

Jeff, excellent review. I don't see myself being able to afford this level, expense, type gear.
Can you please recommend something similar at a more affordable cost?
Thanks for all you have done for us all. Elwood

For soft armor they offer cheaper alternatives. For this, one is paying for the ultra thinness. safelifedefense.com/shop-category/body-armor/

Thank you for the video. I’ve been considering this brand and products for a while, but haven’t seen much of reputable and independent reviews. Perhaps you could follow up with a video on the bundles they offer or FRAS line and how they feel.
BTW, I still believe you deserve a Gundie award 👍

Thanks....I'm a pretty small time channel. I thought it was pretty cool I was recommended in the 1st place. If Safe Life offers more stuff to try il do content on it.

I like that it is also stab resistant. I have one and find it thin and lightweight, but rather stiff. Still worth it in my opinion.

For the price its not bad, considering what you are protecting.

Hard plates only as like a second option. I’m going with my hyperline for concealing it

Nice!!! Who makes or sells the gray chest rig that you have? That or even a bit less is more what I’m looking for, plus that color seems like it would be less conspicuous than some others.

Something like this makes far more sense for almost all civilians than big heavy rifle plate rigs.
More than 90% of threats normal people will face from the criminal use of guns is handguns. The vast majority of those threats will happen without warning, or time to find and don armor. If it's not on you, it might as well not exist.
The reality is you cannot wear plate rigs enough to do any good against that threat environment. In fact for practical purposes, you cannot wear them at all. Yes, they're legal in most jurisdictions, but it's still going to draw a LOT of attention from LE and people who wonder if you're fixing to go on a rampage of some sort. By being highly visible, it will also tell any bad guys where not to aim. And for all that, they really cover very little of the body. Look at what that little 10x12 rectangle covers versus a wraparound soft vest.
Something like hyperline, you throw that on under normal clothing, and it's there and ready. You don't look like a nut (unless you did prior to getting dressed!), and you also don't look like the first guy a crook has to take out.

Yes that's what I was trying to say or frame in the video. Very practical

I tell people your plate rig might be able to stop .50 cal, an RPG and drug-resistant VD, but if it's not on you when the fireworks pop off, you're NIJ Level 0!

I feel like your best bet in an active shooter scenario is have a vest that says police on it. Rather catch a charge for impersonating an officer than get lit up by them mistaking you for the shooter
