Well, here it is: Something that many people have been requesting for a while. There was a time where I was wondering why this was considered to be a hot topic, but then I looked at the last twenty years (all the bumbling personnel decisions)… yep, that's why.
Come in and take a hard look at the horrors and gradual numbing apathy of Seattle baseball. At least until the Mariners punch their fans in the dick again. And they waste more elite talent. That is also a given. - Спорт
Nintendo somehow put together a better baseball team on the NES than they did in real life
Ryan Sanders 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Reasons like that were why we became a PlayStation family.
The joke works either way, but are you saying that because you think “Baseball” is good or because it sucks? It’s far from the best baseball game on the NES.
Hey! The Mariners actually did somewhat good under their ownership. They weren't terrible by any stretch!
Nintendo now only owns a small portion of the team nowadays.
I don't understand how some of the best players of the last 25 years were all miraculously in Seattle at one point in time.

To add insult to injury, with the Nationals winning the NLCS the Mariners are now the only team that has never appeared in a World Series.

Forgot to bring up the dick-punch that cost the Mariners a shot at 117 wins, which would have set the record.
The Mariners that season became the 1st team since 1925 (and 3rd overall) to blow a 12-run lead. They led the Indians 14-2 heading into the bottom of the 7th inning before the Indians scored 3, 4, and 5 runs in the 7th, 8th, and 9th respectively and won it in the 11th inning.
That said, the Mariners got the last laugh over the Indians that season in the ALDS (barely). And then they got dick-punched by the Yankees in the ALCS

I personally find this video and the one released by Jon Bois to be almost beautiful in how they starkly contrasted when viewing the Mariners. Tree reviled in the pessimism, grime, and flaws of the void, yelling obscenities at it for its rightful mockery. Bois, on the other hand, found a distinct beauty in the void. It was as if observing all of the heartbreak, awful players, and general glum of the team and their history was molded into something ironically beautiful. Both have their place in the sun, and both represent the two different types of sports fans out there. One is Homer; The one that cries out when someone makes a mistake; The one who acts as the gm in armchair only, the one who ties himself to the team. I'll fully admit, I'm one myself. It's hard not to go off on a rant when a goalie makes a bad play or when a fielder messes up a play - Years of being an O's and Caps fans generally leads to that after all. Yet, Bois video represents the Flanders in all of us. The one that, despite all the hardships our favorite team has, we still watch because we love the game.
Or I looked too deeply into videos about a man who yelled about bad teams and made dick punching jokes, and the one who found interest in Blurbing
As a Mariners fan this video is 100 percent TRUTH.

2020: Despite a 27-33 shortened season you nearly make the playoffs yet again. You finish five games out of the second wild card spot and two games from the second place berth, which you basically handed to the 29-31 Houston Astros by losing seven of ten against them.
2021: This is their year. They may be 3 and a half games out at the start of September but the Mariners are hot. The thing is you have four other teams to deal with.
September 12, 2021: The Blue Jays have won 11 of 12, the Yankees and Red Sox are still playing extremely well and you're struggling to take off. At least Oakland's collapsing. That's one less team to deal with.
September 29, 2021: This is it. The Mariners have won 10 of their last 11 and are only half a game out. You're going to make it. I don't believe it!
October 3, 2021: And you lose two of three to the Angels and finish two games out. At least Toronto tried to make the final push.
2022: You start slow but suddenly begin a 14-game win streak to return to contention. You're in the second wild card spot with a 1.5 game cushion. It's time to make some noise.
2022 Wild Card series: They've done it. They've ended the drought. They shut out the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the Wild Card series, but they're down 8-1 in the second game. What's this? You scored four runs in the sixth inning? However, it's still a four-run game as Toronto tacks on another run in the seventh. But it turns out the Blue Jays have a terrible bullpen so you score four more in the eighth to tie it, and one more in the ninth to win it.
2022 ALDS: It doesn't matter! The Mariners blow a lead of their own in both Game 1 and 2, and then proceed to torture their fans for eighteen innings before giving up a solo home run to Jeremy Peña. The dick punch has returned once again.
Will they punch their fans in the dick again?
Start of September: You begin the month with a shutout of the Tigers and a series win over the former Indians. You currently have a 2 game advantage over the Blue Jays and a 3.5 game lead over the Orioles in the Wild Card race. Can this be the year the Mariners finally break through?

Wasting careers, wasting money and hits below the waist. Hopefully the legacy can be broken soon but there is so much that was failed and no signs that we are improving. Hopefully our tank now will get us on the right track.
One thing I would have added. The year we drafted Dustin Ackley, we had the number two pick. The Nats had the number one pick and took Strasburg. With tiebreakers for the picks the difference was less than a game. On the final game of the season before the Mariners won off a walk off slam by catcher Rob Johnson guaranteeing us the number two pick...

@Fries Last year, most Giants players played to the top of their potential. Belt and Crawford had career-years. Posey was producing a lot. The starting pitching was fantastic, and they won most of their one-run games.
Posey retired at the end of last season, which was a huge loss. His value at the catcher position was basically irreplaceable, and his bat has always been super solid. Besides, I give the 2009 M's a pass: that team was legitimately fun (Death to Flying Things, Griffey homer to beat D-Backs, Ichiro 2-run shot off of Rivera, Blowers called shot of Matt Tuiasosopo), and it was the last time (hell maybe the only) that they were while the Hawks were a shitshow--which means that every ten-year old was barely alive when that happened.

*that tingling feeling was diabetes*
POOR ICHIRO (secretly laughs in athletics, while secretly secretly crying in athletics over Kyler Murray)
Elijah Kalgan Tebow will probably be the more successful quarterback too 😂😂😂
10/8/2022: They have WON a playoff series.
And still the only team that's yet to make the World Series and only team to be swept in the divisional series.
At least I got two games worth of baseball in person.
damn, the amount of talent that the mariners had at one point in the late 90's is staggering. shameful that they could never make it past the ALCS
I'm still surprised that there is no 30 for 30 special on this team because of the talent they had.
Well you have to remember that everytime they got close the Yankees were there to end the season for them. They should have been able to beat them, but they are a good team and the M's will make it this year (hopefully)
Yeah about that...
They also had the worst bullpens of all time in the 90s. Even if they drafted talented relief pitching, they would immediately trade it away. They would trade stars or serviceable players for absolute trash relievers. I remember they didn't have a decent relief pitcher until they imported one from Japan in 2000 in Sasaki.
As a lifelong Mariners fan boy does it suck. They finally blew it up, giving the fans no hope this season... Yep they begin the season 8-2 giving everyone hope, including myself. They've sucked us all in for the 100000th time
If you're dumb enough to still get sucked in by the Mariners, you deserve it when they let you down
I wrote a song about how much the mariners suck. It's titled "mariners suck"
Starting the season 8-2 doesn't mean dick. If you're 25 games over .500 leading the division in August....THAT'S hope
Whose here after the Mariners extended their playoff appearance drought to 19 seasons? 🙋🏻♂️
Edit October 2021: make that 20
I'm here after Kyle Lewis gets hurt and the forthcoming UT update:
"But now the Mariners have an exciting future with Kyle Lewis and Jarred Kelenic. ..........
(Lewis injured his knee, Kevin Mather's ghost lurks)
"HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK THIS SHIT, SELL THE MOTHERFUCKING TEAM AGAIN!!!!!!! "
Just this year for Tree's "I hope you don't make it back here for another 20 years!" to come true!
20
I’m done with this team. They make me wish I never got into sports. Fuckin two full decades of nothingness…. And next season, they’re going to be shitty as hell, like they always are following a season where they almost make the playoffs. The drought is going to continue throughout the 2020’s.
That was some of your best stuff.
Do one on Atlanta Sports. The Braves, Falcons, Hawks and whatever the hell happened with the Thrashers. Being a Braves fan I have seen a looooot of team collapses but then it kind of seems like an Atlanta Sports thing and not just the Braves.
David Damascus god damn Atlanta United had to break the trend and win something
The Atlanta Braves: Why did the "Team of the 90s" only win one World Series in the entire decade?
@Harry Engel Lonnie Smith was genuinely a terrible base runner. He should NOT have gotten deked out like that by Gagne to Knoblauch.
@@katherineberger6329 Because the American League was on fire in the '90s. First the Twins' thrilling victory, then the glorious back-to-back titles by the Blue Jays, and then the rise of the greatest Yankees teams since the days of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. The Braves were the model of consistency, but they were always one-upped by a team, or even a dynasty, from the Junior Circuit.
I'm still trying to figure what the hell was that Thrashers logo
If the Mariners win the World Series in 2019, I'll shave my head.
Ok....I'm onboard. I will too.
I'll shave my balls
Well then I guess you’ll never have to shave again, because the mariners aren’t winning the World Series anytime soon. This is basically their “rebuilding year”
Wow Ferret, did you come up with that all by yourself? You must be a member of Menstrual.
Yeah, I did. That’s coming from the a mariners fan
The Mariners, a team where their only biggest accomplishment was pitching the last perfect game in the MLB.
They treat that as their World Series Title...
Volting Master and had the most wins in mlb history?!
Wow 😂 😂 😂 😂
And then promptly trading the guy who pitched it for shitty prospects and unloading your teams second biggest albetros of a contract
@@attmlb Felix Hernandez still pitches for the Mariners. You might be thinking of James Paxton who threw a no-hitter last year?
3 years later they’re FINALLY!! Back in the playoffs and they….didn’t punch their fans in the dick?! Wtf kind of world am I living in?
And with that, we're the only AL West team without a World Series win, let alone make it.
What a waste of a 116 win season!
The Evil Empire reigns over all teams... except Boston, Arizona, Somehow the Former Florida Marlins, and The Astros
Clemens was unhittable in that series, it was glorious.
Funny enough that 116 win season was the same record the 1906 or 1907 Cubs held, next to their 1910, 1935, and 2016 seasons.
9-11 happened and empowered the yankees. that and bitterness about beating their old AL record of 114.
@@UHOH_415 You forgot Detroit
Watch as Seattle's new NHL team makes the playoffs before Mariners do.
Seattle will win another Stanley Cup, another Super Bowl, and another NBA Finals before the Mariners even sniff the World Series.
@@AnEnemySpy456 the third one is reaching as that requires a team
Rain City Bitch Pigeons are going to be a Dynasty!
I mean, 1/3 of the league makes the playoffs, and only 8 of those teams actually play a series. Compared to the 50% of the NBA/NHL, and that rebuilding in the NFL isn't lengthy (12/32 make the playoffs btw), MLB is the toughest league to win a championship.
Don't forget, HOFer Ernie Banks never went to the playoffs during his 18 year career.
After Vegas, I would laugh my ass off if Seattle gets anything less in their first season.
“ First Baseman Justin Smoak “
Footage shows Justin getting “smoked” by a baseball.
You are clever tree 😆
Who you STILL can’t develop worth a damn
And Smoak is still a career .230 hitter whose All Star year sticks out like John Holmes at a virgins convention. Don't be putting him up for Cooperstown quite yet
16:53 “Once again out-shown by, you guessed it, THE
FUCKING ATHLETICS!”
9:37 “Can you guys PLEASE stop with the ball-busting for one goddamn moment?!”
0:47 “Keep blowing, Lenny! It’s not gonna make the Mariners less shitty!”
5:53 “May Game 5 haunt you for an eternity, farewell.”
7:11 “Great news, boys! Your contending window has slammed shut in your face! You’re terrible again!”
4:33 "That tingy sensation turns out to be diabetes."
unlike the mariners, this did not dissapoint me
as a longtime Mariners fan this makes me so happy
makes me sad
Yeah same
For what? For being reminded of how many dick punches this team has given to his fanbase?
As a Mariners fan, I understand what Cleveland Browns fans must feel like. Oh, and there'll be a Super Bowl at Wembley Stadium before the Mariners return to the postseason.
The Detroit Lions will win a Super Bowl before the Mariners sniff a pennant.
@@mach6893 The Sonics will return to Seattle before the Mariners are still postseason eligible in early September again.
@@nicolesgaming8917 That too.
@@mach6893 Okay, I take this all back. The drought is over, and it feels great.
@@nicolesgaming8917 Hahahaha
Now in 2023 (the year after finally making the playoffs) the Mariners go back to their old ways of finding a way to blow it.
Even worse… The Rangers could win their first WS; making us the only MLB team left with one…

Fire Jerry and Scott.
As a kid growing up on the east coast, I used to stay up late to watch mariners games in the 90's... mostly for Griffey, its crazy really, Martinez, Griffey, Johnson, Rodriguez... but most of their pitching was awful. The team has produced super stars, but ye, they never seal the deal.
As a Mariners fan this was much needed. But still a die hard fan! Go Ms!

Detroit Lions: A Legacy of Failure
Edit: please like it so urinating can see this
Frood lol I’m a Detroit Lions fan and I totally agree with that.
The Detroit Lions can't have a legacy of failure because they have won championships in the past (1935, 1952, 1953, and 1957). I know they haven't won a Super Bowl, heck they haven't made it to one
The Lions had past championship success, hard to believe I know but NFL have been around before SB you know.
Legacy of Failure(In The Modern Era)
This works.
@Harry Engel Same for the Jets, one fluke year kept them from qualifying from this. Not to mention they pretty much coasted on that as well.
August. Mariners go 21-6. Leads division. Hottest team in baseball.
Not even halfway through September and they're out of the playoffs. They went 3-8 so far. And yet, I still believe.
Don’t ball punch
....the Mariners remember that they suck and act accordingly.
We blew a tyre when it matters. Typical life of a Seattle Mariners fan.
Absolutely love the hilarious dialogue combined with your sarcastic tone. This gave me a good laugh.
I hope the Mariners can win a WS someday.
Maybe in 2023 since they're hosting the all star game in 2023 lmao
ive never realized how many legendary players they blew

And in true Mariners fashion, they'll shit themselves in the Wildcard game.
