I give this to the Rustler guys. The Maxx does great donuts, gets great air on the jumps but….Rustler has such a better turn radius which really helps during off-road racing.

@@LooseBikersTM The Rustler has a heat sink with a fan, and still gets warm if ran hard. The Maxx has never gotten too warm on us. If you gonna use the sledgehammer tires on the Rustler just gear down on the pinion. That will help with keep it from getting warm.
That's why I said it should been max vs hoss truck. I like rustler 4×4 it's better racer in dirty then max the rustler 4×4 I put against the Sledge all day I have rustler 4×4 and it do 70 mph on 3s
Which one puts the bigger smile on your face? // What's more fun .? Also, which one do you think is better at drifting in the dirt / handling / racing. Keeping in mind, the maxx has a higher expert rating. Meaning if you're the expert of all experts and you are Advanced at your driving abilities which one u pick . Also would ur mind change of it was the rustler 4x4 ultimate? I'll be happy if u cab just answer one of those questions. --> Awesome father and son bonding thats the real reward!!!
I’d say MAXX with out a doubt mainly because of its durability, and how versatile it is. Only difference in the Rustler Ultimate is the extra aluminum which we don’t use anyways.
Interesting video. So, you're saying the WIDEMaxx would still be as flippy in the turns and not very stabile? I have a Rustler 2WD and have contemplated the WIDEMaxx for my first 4X4 truck. The WIDEMaxx is definitely more stable but being a taller truck, it still tends to flip over on turns more than the Rustler 4x4. The Hoss is definitely similar to the MAXX but hoss is practically a smaller and weaker Maxx, but hoss is definitely an amazing truck
This was one of our older videos, and we didn’t full on bash these two trucks. But yes, not breaking anything during a durability test is a pass. That wouldn’t make any sense that something must break during a durability test.
I personally did not like how that video turned out, since then we’ve started using BT mics. We also just got the GoPro Hero 11 and the sound quality is so much better. Thank you for the comment, I’ll check out those mics. Did you have one in mind?

Rustler won speed and stability but maxx won on ever jump and donut. They tied on bicycle

It could handle the donut much better, it bycicled really good, and it's so easy to flip and jump

Which tires do you use with the rustler? And do you have the extreme heavy duty kit?
Both are using Sledgehammer tires, lots of grip. The rustler has the stock suspension. We are upgrading to the extreme kit. Thank you

Two great rc but wrong match up should been max and hoss truck.and rustler 4×4 got bang up the match was over the max had the uper hand
The Rustler would of easily beat the Hoss man. The Rustler is crazy fast and light on 3s. I wanna see a rematch
The Hoss isn’t a match for Rustler, the Maxx is much bigger but isn’t as quick.

great comparison, what wheels/tires do you guys have on that rustler?
Stock tires are the Talons, but we’re using Sledgehammers. They last a long time, and grip well.

If you dont break parts are you really testing the durability?

how is this a realistic comparison when the rustler isnt stock ... the tires alone would change the results and im sure its more than tires
Only the tires change the cars handling, Rustler is a great RC.
