For those questioning whether or not this is a paid advert, yes it is. I give him credit for being honest, he posted a disclaimer on the top left of the screen. This gentleman has a family and quality of life to maintain like the rest of us who earn, you can make your own decisions on Traxxas, I have. At least he picked two of their decent RC's, the Rustler Nitro was my first good RC. I just wish Traxxas would innovate more and price their larger RC's more realistically.
Another place most people run is on pavement! That's where the Rustler really shines, the added traction on pavement will make it handle so much better than on loose dirt. Whereas the Stampede will traction roll at any hard turn.
Both awesome. The best one is the one that puts the biggest smile on your face. For me it’s a tie because I have both. 😂 I have the 4wd 3s Stampede VXL, and the 2wd rustler BL2s. Both make me smile equally for different reasons.
I have a soft spot for the Rustler, it was my first Nitro. Still have it after 20+ years. (it doesn't run, I'll get a new engine one day) Thanks as always Greg!
Do it! Get the engine! My 1997 nitro sport sat on my shelf for 15 years. I just took it down last weekend. Cleaned up the seized/gunked up engine, and got it running again! I drove it until dark Saturday night and ran about 6-8 tanks of fuel through it! Forgot how much I missed nitro after going strictly electric the last year or so.
@@OGRCFanatic thanks for the encouragement, sounds like you had a blast! There isn't anything like the sound and smell of running nitro, I do miss reverse though, LOL 😀
@@rmarkley79reverse is overrated 😂😂 Just kidding. I hear ya. My Jato 3.3 doesn’t have reverse either but my Revo 3.3 does. I just need to get motivated to get those two running again. And I completely agree 1000%, there’s nothing like the sound and smell of a nitro RC car. Really hoping you get your rustler running again soon.
RC2 Congrats on 30years 🎉. I could not decide. I have both. The handling characteristics is amazing on the Rustler for both dirt & grass. I did have to add fans on both the ESC and motor for heat on the grass. now it is full send and the Rustler is a ripper. The Stampede is also very nice for both dirt and grass. Biggest difference is the center Diff in the Stampede and the Rustler is slipper clutch. I would also the lower CG is nice as well. Both are great with very little issues. So after all that I will give the Rustler a slight edge. Nice job on the video. 🏎️🇺🇸🏎️🏁😎
Hope I won't regret watching this.... I'm 1min 1sec in. And wondering if this will just be a Traxxas advert with a conclusion that they are both great/equal whatever. Making this a complete click bait title!!! I'll post back once I get to the end.
Love the rustler 4x4 vxl especially with some proline badlands tires but also a fan of the the stampede 2wd and 4wd versions but of course I had to go with the Arrma granite 4x4 3s blx but don't get me wrong tho cuz I have had stampedes in the past
The only good reason for traxxas being around is they are a good gateway drug. They get people into the hobby and then (hopefully) most people realize they are overpriced for what you get. Especially in the electronics. Nothing against RCDriver he’s got to make a living and he is very good at what he does!!
Old Stampede looks better more scale and had better body options now you are stuck with clipless none adjustable body ride height and ugly cartoon character body 🤣

@@OGRCFanatic LOL! Sounds like you have a couple more projects ahead, happy wrenchin!
I have the Rustler VXL, with street tires, It's a Blast.
I'm team Rustler all the way. Love the low riding stadium truck.
These or new arrma 223s ?

Did you say they have slipper clutch ? Rustler does, stampede has center diff
Do a stampede, vs rustler, vs jato, vs slash bl-2s
With so much experience what would be your favourite rc car? Or style of car. Nice video

Yep.... just a 14 min advert 🙄

Does anyone know if you can swap these bodies?
Congratulations.
👍🇨🇦🤠
Do a comparison of both these and a slash, make a video stalking about all 3 (even the jato)

Traxxas tough 💪
It's the price. Not justified for what you get.
