      Great photos in this weather. How do you set the white balance on your camera? I have a problem with shades of white, how can I make them like yours - the sky is gray not white?

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  9 месяцев назад

      I set the white balance to shade on my canon 200D, usually colour correct on Lightroom and for some I will edit the sky using an adjustment layer like this - Doing THIS makes Lightroom Masking 10x EASIER

    You have no idea how helpful this video was! I’ve had the 10-18mm for my 2000D for 4 months now and for the life of me I cannot manage to get a good shot with it, all landscapes come out shallow and buildings too far. I’ll try it like you did today in east London and see. Thank you!!

    • @Allikkx

      I’m so glad you found it helpful! The Ultra Wide Angle can be so hard to get used to and it does take some time to get used to it (I think just cause we don’t see like that usually!) definitely stick with it and I really hope you manage to get some cool shots! 🙏 I’m rooting for you! 🙌

      @@Allikkx what's up! I finally ordered a gopro chest mount. My question to you is do you shoot in Manual mode or Auto? Also, which video editing program do you use & do you have Instagram? 😎 Best wishes from Germany Sir! 🇺🇸🇩🇪🍻🤘🏻

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  2 года назад +1

      Hey! I really should get one rather than relying on a old GoPro clip! I shoot mostly in auto with the EV comp lower and a few other setting changed like manual white balance and turning the sharpening off! I use premier pro to edit (although which software won’t matter too much!) I do, it’s @allikkx_ 😎👌

    Now this video made me consider using my 10-18mm with my Canon 80D. I always find it difficult to use as the sky's always blown out or the landscape is so dark.
    I'm going to give it a try.

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  7 месяцев назад +2

      Definitely worth giving it a go! It’s a tough balance, too bright a day and it’s easy to lose the sky! Good luck! Hope it goes well for you!

    Nice. I like the wide aesthetic in street. Although, isn't 16mm on the 200d basically a 25mm or 26mm in full frame terms? I think my G7x goes that wide, so I can give this a go. Work some scenes. 😉

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  2 года назад

      Thanks, I’m a bit fan of the wide look in street. Yea, it’s about 25mm in full frame terms but being able to bring the lens down to a 16mm equivalent for the price is pretty handy! Definitely worth giving a go!! 👍

    Great video! Really enjoyed the walk around :) Silly question - but why do you hold the camera and take shots with it portrait? Also, doesn't this negate the point of wide angle?

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I think it’s mostly just bad habit from always shooting portrait orientation for Instagram 😂 it doesn’t negate it necessarily, just means the image will have a huge field of view from bottom to top (great for tall building and stuff!)…
      …should probable shoot horizontal a lot more though 😅

    • @wolfiemedia

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  10 месяцев назад +1

      @wolfiemedia great starter camera! The widest lens I’ve seen for the RF mount is the 16mm but if you grab an EF/RAF adapter literally everything works! Perfect lens for real estate and interiors! (Never shot that myself but you’d get a lot in the frame for sure!) 🙌

    You shot all of these at 16mm...how do you like it at 10mm?

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  2 года назад +2

      Ahhh can definitely see the confusion: I shot everything at 10mm on an APSC sensor which gives a 1.6x crop making the 10mm look like a 16mm equivalent on a full frame camera (that’s why I put 16mm on the meta data)
      I love this lens ultra wide at 10mm, gives a really exaggerated, dramatic look! 👌

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  2 года назад +1

      I shot at the widest focal length because if you roll the zoom to past 15/16mm then the full frame equivalent would be over 24mm and classed as Wide not Ultra Wide 🤷‍♂️

    If i use 10mm on the canon m50 what is the equivalent of that lens?

    • @Allikkx
      @Allikkx  2 года назад

      I believe if you use an EF-S to EF-M adapter it’s the same as if it was on an APSC camera.. so it would be a 16-24 on full frame! I haven’t used the M50 myself, but I think they have a EF-M 11-22mm that might be a better fit! 🤔
