Thanks for checking out another Rory performance! Another really wonderful blues example is "I Wonder Who?" from 1984 Belfast. A strictly audio version of "Just a Little Bit" recorded in 1974 at My Father's Place in Roslyn, NY is a must listen with simply some of the best guitar soloing I have ever heard. Rory's solos are always a treat. He remained anchored to the original song and never appeared to be out there just endlessly noodling in a self-gratifying manner as many guitarists seem to do. His solos weren't a "look at me and what I can do", they were extensions of the music and his passion for that music. Intense, emotional and still melodious, his guitar playing remains some of the best in the rock/blues genre in my book. Please continue to explore his music (and I second the "I Could Have Had Religion" suggestion!)
I 3rd the suggestion of "I Could Have Had Religion." Honored to see him a number of times, and so glad that people are discovering his talent even now. He was such an influence on so many guitarists that followed. If I meet a young guitarist who has never heard of Rory, I send them to his catalogue. He made it seem so easy!
Such a f****** catchy tune!
