Surely greatest guitar player of all time?
I've just had a spiritual experience !
Love this guy. Music and performance was unbelievable. The album Tattoo was the first I ever heard. Has been on RG Corner in Dublin, his guitar hanging on the wall there.
I met him once in '89 and spent an afternoon and evening in his company, he seemed like a great guy, R.I.P. a great artist.
Man ! He sure can play ▶️ a mean guitar 🎸 !!
Looking forward to Roryfest in Ballyshannon in a few weeks
I don't listen to him much but I do like what he does.
We’ve all heard all the great guitarists but there’s something about Rory that just stands out for me. His live stuff just blows me away every single time. Next up…A Million Miles Away, also from Irish Tour (but listen to the version on the album rather than watch the video version).
Yay ! The Genius of Rory Gallagher is a Joy to hear and see !
" Irish Tour 74 " Is a gem ! great reaction ! cheers !
Bit Trivia , The Track "Brute Force and Ignorance " off the "Photo Finish" Album was written when Rory watched the Sex Pistols on Tour in America ! Great tack and Album !
Thank you for the excellent video and reaction on a guitar great. Fantastic musicianship, great band, RIP Rory.
Anything from the Irish Tour film is amazing. You should watch the whole thing
I'm not the biggest fan of Rory Gallagher, but i cannot deny that he's a first rate musician.
Right, that's one great song and musician. Let's see what the others are like.
Hi guys love the video, Rory has so much great music but I recommend western plains live in the cork opera house if you haven’t done it already, keep up the good great work
Thanks for another great Rory reaction, keep 'em coming! Btw the Irish Tour 74DVD/Blue Ray isn't a concert, it's a documentary, with footage taken from various dates on the tour, with some nice bits of interviews. Directed by Tony Palmer who I believe made the Beatles films. It's worth watching but I'd recommend listening to the live double album from the tour first - the documentary has some odd editing choices! I believe there was a little friction at times during the filming - film makers tend towards 'arty', Rory's attitude was 'just film the band, onstage and backstage, warts and all!' He wanted the documentary to portray the reality of touring, without glamourizing it.
For a different side of Rory, try some of his acoustic stuff.
There's a couple of stand outs.....there's a great video of, Pistol Slapper Blues and Too Much Alcohol from the RTE Studios .
And, Out On The Western Plain, from 1988. This is about five or six years before his death, and he looks different than what your used to, and somewhat ill, but it's a blazing performance .
There's also his first band, Taste. Try, Morning Sun.
Thanks for another Rory reaction and keep on...
Now we’re cookin’ with gas! If you haven’t already reacted to it, I think you’ll dig “Crest of a Wave” from his second solo album. 🤘Here’s an audio live version: ruclips.net/video/Dmir9e7B-VI/видео.html&si=eABCLwZkYvwvRfxW
Please react to robin trowers playing bridge of sighs
I can't remember if it was on this channel where some fans got a bit snotty when I was mildly critical of Rory. As much as I would like to upset those oversensitive people again, I do own this album and this is a stellar performance, as good as any piece of rock guitar playing you could have heard at this time.
The late and most excellent guitarist Bernie Marsden was a huge fan of Rory's music. So much so that he did an album solely of RG music.
@@colrhodes377 I don't think you can be a guitarist and not admire Rory's playing.
Just a couple of points !
Yes it was this channel that you made comments about Rory which is fine .
But I think you are getting confused with people being " Over sensitive " and
you talking Tosh !
Also can you name any Band that are as close Rory NOW , Let alone from 1974 !!!
And I would love to hear the Music that you make ! You must be very Good !
I cant wait ! with baited breath ! Graham .
@@delorangeade He is certainly a great player.
@@ghichens3418 At least I didn't mention Rory's shirt this time.
Didn’t see this one originally .. as Debbie Harry once said “ once more into the bleach “.. or was that Henry V ? 😝
👍🏴
Richard Tandy of ELO breathes no more. Roll over Beethoven would be a good way to celebrate his life and music.
Let's Go Rangers ! 🏒
I totally agree David .. but it will go all the way to the last Old Firm game at Parkhead ! Moan the Gers !! 😅
👍🏴
@hanierfamily Hi Guys, Can I run some songs by you to see if you know them
1. The Cult "Fire women"
2. The Mission "Tower of Strength"
3 Generation X " Dancing with myself"
All excellent tracks. I'm in on these.
@@Starburst_Candy maybe you could put them forward aswell to back me up
@@darrenwestbury8569 Both C n C are reading, they'll consider this as my vote too
Fire Woman is a favourite in our house. Is the Generation X version different from Billy Idol's release? We've never heard of The Mission, that we can remember.
@@hanierfamilycan’t believe I’m saying this as Wayne Hussey and The mission both suck Donkey Balls in MY opinion 👀.. but they did have a minor hit that I liked called Tower if Strength that I enjoyed , but don’t tell my mates I said that .. 😆
👍🏴
In MY view only ..👀.. Total Gash !
Rory Gallagher / Richie Blackmore/ Gary Moore = all the same 💩 ,they paved the way for Punk to happen so maybe I should thank them really
👍🏴
Gary Moore was in the Greedy B**tards, so he was a part time punk.
@@delorangeadeDame Judy Dench is more of a punk than Gary Moore del .. 😝
👍🏴
