    If you add a package of strawberry jello it’s really strawberry flavored. We just made some, so good!

    My Hot Banana Peppers are growing like crazy, I might try this using them instead of jalapeños. 👍🏻

      Thanks!! Did I miss that in the video? That was pretty early on in my RUclips channel journey. I did put it in my recipe post @ louisianasimpleliving.com/2020/10/24/strawberry-jalapeno-jam-from-garden-to-jar/ (recipe). Sorry about that. The canning time is 10 minutes minimum.

      I have the following link in the video's comments: "louisianasimpleliving.com/2020/10/24/strawberry-jalapeno-jam-from-garden-to-jar/ (recipe)" with the recipe so you can check that out. But, it's 1/4 cup of lemon juice and 7 cups of sugar. Hope you enjoy it as this stuff is very tasty!! 😀😀

    Can I use this same recipe but use black raspberries & liquid pectin instead & have it still turn out??

      I'm really not sure but I would think it would still work. I bet you it turns out absolutely delicious. Please let me know if you try it. Thanks for watching the video and have a happy Thanksgiving!!

    Does it require a preservative

    • @LouisianaSimpleLiving
      @LouisianaSimpleLiving  2 года назад

      The lemon juice in the recipe causes it to be acidic which basically acts as the preservative. Of course, it has to be canned correctly for it to last as well.
