I've never made any kind of pepper jelly before, I'm thinking that with my next pickins' of my Jalapeno's instead of pickling those bad boys (I pickle my jalapeno's with garlic and dill too) this jelly is in order! Thanks so much for this great idea, adding the color makes a difference too! Being with you in your kitchen is such a joy and we thank you for it!
Your hair is so beautiful, looks so cute, and you look darling and adorable, Jeni! I'm going to make this jalapeno jelly just to have it on my pantry shelf
I’ve only had jalapeño jelly once, but I remember being pleasantly surprised that I liked it and it wasn’t too spicy for me. Making it myself would guarantee it was Just Right. Thanks for showing how to make it.
Looks so delicious! I’ll be adding garlic next time😋😋😋 I made your chili pepper jam & we sure are enjoying it I made a ton of cranberry jalapeño for Christmas gifts-now they are all begging me for more-a couple of my husbands coworkers keep sending me peppers from their garden so I’ll make more pepper jelly and salsa🤪 I have that pampered chef chopper-it’s awesome!! Thank you for sharing!😘
You can always make a jelly set, you just have to check set, add more pectin, check set again and repeat if needed. Always make sure it’s set before canning. I never have a set fail this way. 😊 Liquid pectin isn’t as strong as powder.
I'm pretty new to jelly and jam making. I've been watching quite a few RUclips video's about making jams etc and NO ONE has ever done the "set test." Thats awsome! I made peach and then pear jam and it's okay but I would have preferred that it was a little firmer. I thought that I was doing something wrong as I put in the pectin and I thought it would set up! I will try this next time. Looks like it works! Could you explain more on what it needs to do or look like when deciding how much pectin to put in? Thanks so much!
It is pretty, isn't it. I always have to use extra pectin for pepper jelly. I also usually add a hugh red bell pepper in with the jalapenos. I like the colors..
I have never heard of jalapeno jelly.. I had always wish they would sell it in the store now I know how to make it! 😉 I'm new to your channel now.. please stay connected. 😉
I love pepper jelly, now I am craving it. I grew jalapeno's last year and it was so hot and dry here they had so much heat they about killed me, had to throw out a batch of cowboy candied ones, the heat was unreal. Have you ever tried the Kiwi Daiquiri Jam from ball, I am not a kiwi fan but I do love that one.
This looks so good!! You had to cover the gray didnt you lol. I know! I did let mine finally grow out. It took a little over 2 years but i love the freedom. I was having to dye my hair every 3 weeks. I'm 53 so I'm a few years older than you. Sometimes I really miss my dark hair and think about going back but then I remember how long it took to grow it out😟😂😂. It did make me feel younger when I looked in the mirror. Also, I have curly frizzy hair and the dye would help tame my mane. I definitely miss that! My husband loves my gray or he's a good liar one 🤷♀️😂. You are beautiful either way!!
I made oodles of this 4 yrs ago. Gave most of it away. Hubby loves Jalapenos but he didnt like the jelly and I did and I am not a fan of hot spicy. Go figure! Lol
I make pepper jelly but have never added garlic and I love garlic! Can't wait to try this! Do you like the pectin better than Sure Jell? I want to try that too. Thank you!
I'm going absolutely insane. I've tried googling my problem and there's zero results. My issue is that I waited too long to put my jelly mixture into my jars and it started to set in the pot. Now it's all chunky and bubbly because I didn't can it while it was still liquid. How can I fix this!??! Everytime I google my issue, no matter how I word it, the only results I get is how to fix runny jelly. Not how to fix jelly that's set too quickly before I could jar it. Can I reheat the jelly to turn it liquid and then re-can it? (I used liquid pectin). Help!!!
I looked up your recipe just to be sure on the amounts now I’m confused in one spot it says 6 cups of sugar and further down the recipe it says 5 cups of sugar ?.
Second batch i have made this fall. Its so simple and delicious..
Greetings from East Texas! YAYYYY for Jalapeño Jelly! Snagging that Chili jelly too!
Wonderful!! 😊
Thank you Jeni for sharing, have a blessed night!
You are so welcome! 😊
This is the kind of jelly's I love to make. Now I'm getting into fermented pepper hot sauce. Love the channel.
Thank you so much! I would love to do some more fermenting myself! 😊
Fermented pepper sauce got my youngest hooked on spicy!
Jeni, I love all of your recipes.
Hello dear lady, I love jalapeño Jelly. yummo. It poured buckets here in San Antonio, good gravy.
Hi Barbara! Send some rain my way please! 😊

oOoOO!!!...delicious 🤤... raspberries and jalapenos jelly came to my mind😳...high maintenance doggies...☺️... I can almost smell the jalapenos...

Seeded like 50 pepper jalapeños and they all sprouted … anyways I’m gonna have to make a jelly!
I make mine with various colors of bell peppers and my husband's with jalapeno's.
Beautiful jelly and hair, Jeni 💕🌻
Thank you! 🤗
I made this same jelly last week. My granddaughter ask for it , she uses it for her burgers. I love your blouse 👚, it is so cute.
Thank you! 🥰
I love Jalapeno Jelly. I'm down to my last jar so I need to make more. Thanks for sharing.

I was just thinking last night that I wanted to make this!!! You’re a mind reader!!!! Thank you so much!!
You are so welcome! 😊
Had to send this to my daughter. She loves jalapeno jelly.
Wonderful! 😊
I've never canned it before but I LOVE pepper jelly... Think I'll try to do this one. Thanks Jeni
You are so welcome! 😊
Thanks for the great recipe, i can't wait to try this recipe.
My pleasure 😊
OMG, finally made your jalapeno jelly. Only one problem... it's winter and no ventilation... WOW strong. But will make in summer with windows open. 🤭
Wonderful! 😊 I hear ya! I made it during our Arizona summer, no open windows because it was 115 outside!! 😩
Jalapeno jelly 😍, I will be making this for sure.
Wonderful!! 😊
THAT LOOKS AWESOME JENI, I MAY TRY THIS ONE ESPECIALLY WITH CREAM CHEESE EVERYTHING BAGELS.
You should! Its so good!! 😊

My hubby would like this. Not me though as I am a wimp when it comes to hot stuff.
I like it when something tickles my tongue! I think this recipe will do just that. I can't wait to make this.
Happy canning! 😊
So Pretty! Can’t wait to do this!
I totally loved the food coloring . first show i saw use it. Big diggerence.
It’s good on cheesecake too
With garlic in it?
A MUST HAVE! Thanks.
Your top is so cute. I'm definitely making this.
Thank you! 😊
Use pure cane sugar!!! it helps it set and adds so much flavor!!
I mostly use pure cane sugar and Actually using pure cane sugar makes it harder to set!
It Looks awesome, something I definitely want to try
Thanks! 😊
That looks amazing.
Love this on slow roasted chicken thighs...just baste it on ....oooohhh!
Oh yes!! ❤️
The hot pepper jam I have made requires liquid pectin. I used powder pectin once could never get it to set.

Darn it! I just made cowboy candy yesterday thinking it was the same as jalepeno jelly!
I’m definitely trying this!
Jalapeño jelly can be a bugger to get set for some reason but it is awesome and also good with pork .
Yes it can be, but that’s why I keep extra pectin on the side and spoons in my freezer!! 😀
interesting, i'll have to try this
Such a pretty jam. Sounds delicious!
Thanks! 😊
Looks very good. I like that jelly.
Thanks! 😊
By the way. Love my Rada knives. Had some for years and years
Wonderful! 😊

I have not tried the kiwi jam. I have had super hot batches of jalapeños too! 😊
Take out the seeds. We don't want to waste these beautiful spice morsels
They were way to hot, when it is dry and hot, peppers are hotter than normal, they also had a bitter taste, no way to rescue those.@@theinbetween01
I wanna see that jalapeno in white cake video
I will put it on the list! 😊

Cookie wants a pepper…. Lol… Must people don’t know about rubbing on oil on your hands… I learned my lesson… don’t touch your eyes… ask me how I know!
I think we have all done it! That’s how we learn real quick! 😂
I purée my jelly instead of chopped
Almost makes me wish I could eat peppers. ☺️
I think she said something about collaboration falling apart. Any idea? You’re still rockin it.
I have no idea. So far we are all doing our videos! 😊

Hi Jeni I can't find the playlist for the Collab on canning Nana's channel. Is it a private Collab?
Not private but I’m nit sure she made a okay list. I will check.
Will this work with certo?I use it all the time.
Yes it will, you may have to use extra.
Do you put it on top of icing in the middle of the white cake?
I put it on the cake the put filling it icing over that. It’s so good! 😊
Oh my
How much Sure Jell and what was the other pectin in the jar.
1 package of sure jel and the other is a jar of Ball pectin I keep on the side in case it doesn't set with one box. I do explain this on the video. 😊
@@Jeni_Gough , you might of said it but you weren't very clear on what you were saying.
@@shirlymullis1699 the recipe is linked in the description box for accurate measurements.
You won me on the cheese.
I have a very nice garlic press but I hate cleaning it. Now I just chew up the garlic and spit it into the pot. Shhhh....don't tell anyone.
Note to self..... No dinner at your house!! 😂

Reheat it and add more liquid until it's the consistency you want.
looks good
Thanks! 😊
Awsome
💖👼🏻🌺
Do you make tomato jalopeno jelly?
No, but you can certainly make tomato jam and add jalapeños to it. I do make a Salsa Jam!

I'm looking for an apple juice/jalapeno jelly recipe that uses 100% apple juice and certo.liquid pectin.. anyone have a link?
No link. I would make my own recipe. 😊
@@Jeni_Gough i would if I were that confident~ lol not sure how much juice, how much pectin and how much pepper

Difference
I looked up your recipe just to be sure on the amounts now I’m confused in one spot it says 6 cups of sugar and further down the recipe it says 5 cups of sugar ?.
If you read the recipe directions… mix 1 cup of sugar with the pectin…..5 cups of sugar go into the jalapeños….😊
Ok thanks for clearing that up I must have over looked that sorry.
I didn't grow jalapeños this year and I'm regretting it. These nadapenos and habanadas. Have all of the smell and non of the flavor😤
Wow! I have never had those. I love jalapeños! 😊
5 cups of sugar is ridiculous.
No for jelly or jam!
