This is all great advice, but the best remedy for depression and anxiety is still exercise. Any kind will work from a slow jog up to lifting weights. Most of the time, just getting out of the house works wonders but elevating your heart rate for 20 minutes or more will have a huge positive impact on your well-being.

In my experience, nutritional deficiency was the main cause of my depression. It was awful indeed. But you can get thru it. I haven’t watched this video yet, but in my research I found the most ‘cell friendly’ nutritional sources are from our edible weeds that grow for free in the forests. From the ground directly into your mouth- before the enzymes die off. No pesticides, nor chemical fertilizers, weren’t picked a month ago and stored in warehouses to be transferred hundreds of miles away, weren’t selectively bred over the past hundred years for size and taste at the cost of its nutritional content, and like I said are totally free.
So watching what you put into your body, highly nutritional plants, minimizing if not eliminating processed sugar, and what you allow into your ears. Be careful what you habitually watch on social media. Purposely start watching those ‘kindness’ videos.
Stay strong sweetie. You got this

Not a bad quote, I think it just lacks some parts of the chain reaction. "If you are depressed, you're living in the past; If you're living in the past, your awareness has been reduced; If your awareness has been reduced, your neural function is compromised; If your neural function is compromised, your homeostasis has been violated; If your homeostasis has been violated, you consumed something harmful or failed to consume something beneficial." That comes with the food especially. But usually it is a combination of bad food, external meanness (from people) and unsuitability for the chosen occupation (hobbies, studyings or jobs that you're not meant to will drain your happiness).

I was so depressed as a vegetarian that I faithfully ate my nuts and dark chocolate every day. But, the only thing the nuts did was make me bloated, since they're mainly indigestible. Chocolate did put me into a mini-fantasy world because it activates opioid receptors, so that was nice. But, it's also addictive,. plus the polyphenols block fat burning, which is the real way to beat depression. Also, both nuts and dark chocolate contain a lot of arginine, and arginine (versus lysine in fish, dairy, and meat) causes viruses, bacteria, and parasites to grow, which is linked to depression and anxiety. The only way I got out of depression was to eat an ancestral foods low carb/high fat diet-it feeds the brain, instead of feeding pathogens.

My psychiatrist has me working out one hour a day. He told me to eat lots of nuts, instead of sugary foods. So, if I substitute 600 calories of nuts instead of eating 800 calories of cakes and cookies, I would do better. Apples are delicious. I’m going to eat more of them. I love blueberries and have some small pancakes for breakfast with cooked berries. I buy small portions of pancakes and watch the calories. I do love Greek yogurt. I eat dark chocolate almonds. They are delicious. I still can’t get rid of the depression and anxiety that I suffer. But, I do what the doctor says.

Due to severely debilitating depression I sometimes eat till my brain becomes numb and feels no pain or discomforting thoughts about my past life experiences. People in my country are so sick and terrible as I became a victim survivor of their extreme animosity cruelty and enmity and hostility. But I managed to survive against all odds in situations and circumstances where so many others perished and passed away in silence and extreme anguish and disappointment towards the extremely cruel monstrosity of the majority community people of my terrible country / nation . .

@@ankitasingh9603 India is the gang rape capital of the world where honour killings take place on a daily basis night or day . When an American Boy grows up he aspires to be a doctor to heal the sick people and when an indian hindu boy grows up he aspires to be a gang rapist. Shocking but absolutely true reality of the hindu india mindset. Sorry if you feel disappointed with the truth. Sugar coated sweet white lies always seem more appealing to our two faced personalities of Jekyll and Hyde. Truth is always extremely bitter and ugly to accept in a world of fake illusions created by the television media and sinfully wicked bollywood industry fraudsters on ott and cinema.
