Heather, if you’re too tired to tour IST the biz lounge has private rooms with a bed for long layover passengers, but they do run out, so I would go straight to the reservation desk in the back of the lounge right when you arrive if you want one of those. We were the last to get one during our 9 hours layover. Each room has only a twin bed; you can try to get more than one room if you’re traveling with others. The lounge is big and bustling, so you may like the room for a quiet oasis. And you can bring food back there. Good luck!

To make Mitch feel better, I was on a 13 hour business class flight on Emirates from Miami and they couldn’t get my WiFi to work. I should I have messaged them for some sort of credit. But I didn’t.
They claimed that since I booked it on air Canada, I didn’t link it to my emirates skyward account, which I know I did.
The good news is, the movies worked!
Thank goodness the movies worked! We have yet to be on an aircraft with reliable and consistent wifi.

Heathrow is no joke. I actually think you did your transfer Mitch in record time 😅 My personal experiences have been that between BA being late arriving, parking remotely and waiting on buses to come to take you to the terminal, then walking forever and getting into a sometimes huge security line… I’m not comfortable unless I have at least 4 hours between flights, and quite frankly that sucks. I’ve been searching for other options to get from the US to Scotland these days…

Mitch, definitely air your grievances. I transferred 48k MR points to Delta as they featured award availability for an international flight. On booking, I received an error. Tried for hours but to no avail. Took screenshots of flight award and conversation with direct messaging customer service rep and although they couldn’t help me in any way they comp’d me 2500 miles for “system error”. Now I’m stuck with a ton of Delta miles that I can’t find usage for at this time.
Hi Carlos. Oh no!!! So sorry that happened. 2500 miles is not good enough. You deserve way more than that. 2500 miles is what they give to people when checked bags take longer than 20 min! Delta should be ashamed of themselves. We say advocate for yourself and ask for more!

Yes you can! You will earn 5x from buying through the portal. Just note you may not receive loyalty points from AA if you buy tickets anywhere other than AA's website.

Singapore 1st class: what is the minimum time u need to be on the a380 to get caviar? I remember or was it ethiad, one of your flights was too short to get caviar…?
Hi Wong Way! Congrats on your Turkish booking! According to the touristanbul website, "If you are on an international flight that connects through İstanbul with a layover between six and 24 hours, you can enjoy the Touristanbul." It does not mention a RT requirement. SQ did not mention a min time requirement...just longer. :)

Hi again! If they didn't serve caviar on SIN - DEL, we don't expect they would serve caviar on the SIN - HKG route either. But you should book it, report back and let us know!

if Capital One travel portal doesn't show budget airlines like Scoot, Jetstar, Air Asia, Ryanair then the Venture X is not worth getting
We love how John Wick enjoys the low cost carriers! They are fantastic! One thing you way want to try is calling Capital One Travel and see if you can book over the phone. We haven’t tried it yet so let us know if this works. If not available, we’d recommend using Cap One’s purchase eraser feature to wipe the airline charge from your statement. You wouldn’t get the 5x but you would get 2x and a free flight.
