To remove scratches to your window glass you need CERIUM OXIDE and diamond polishing pads. But remember to keep the glass cool. As the heat up and can crack if you are too aggressive.
The speaker setup in the doors looks spectacular! This is most definitely the best inspiration for my 91’ Toyota pickup and I’m basing my, soon to be new, setup off of yours identically!!!
I use a waffle foam pad for window scratches. 50/50 toothpaste / baking soda for light scratches and 50/50 Turtle wax rubbing compound / Fast Orange with pumice for the deep stuff. Use to buff out windshield wiper scratches, works great. Your truck is really looking good there Justin.
I feel like all I do is come on your channel and say "damn, this looks great!", but at the risk of repeating myself for the 10th or so time...damn, this looks great! lol. Joking aside, it really does look excellent man. It's pretty incredible what the simple things can do for the overall appearance of a rig...like replacing those busted up marker lights. It's almost cathartic for me to do that on an older vehicle...even if the body looks like crap having fresh lenses on all of the lights makes such a huge difference. And the tint is perfect for the truck - not too dark or too light. What is that, 20%-30%?
I was cringing watching that back window install! I bought a new Mazda B 2000 in 1984. I bought an aftermarket window just like that and my friend and I installed it in like February with a foot of snow on the ground and 10 degrees outside. We had the opposite problem. We couldn't get the factory window out! After about an hour and a half freezing, I was ready to go get duct tape and a hammer and then we finally got it out. Laid the rope in the track and sprayed WD 40 on and no kidding, 60 seconds later, IN! I'm not even sure why I wanted to keep the window in tact!
For the yellowed reservoir--1) Rinse it thoroughly (try to get a pressure stream inside if you can) to remove the old fluid and loose stuff. 2) Cap the outlets, put some sand and soapy worder (ChrisFix) inside, and shake until all sludge is free, then rinse. 3) Fill with bleach water and let sit for a few hours. 4) Fill with hydrogen peroxide and put under a UV light light bulb overnight. Even better if you can build a box lined with aluminum foil or other reflective surface to disperse the UV light. That should get the old reservoir looking pretty close to new again. It will be more durable and look WAY better than painting it black.
I've been told "jewelers paste" is an easy/cheap fix, but haven't yet had the opportunity to use some. Keep up the great work! You had me with the Kei truck, but I have great memories of these old Toyotas. Buddy of mine put a small block V8 in one and is was almost undriveable in the dry, let alone on wet pavement. He didn't wreck it, but sold it to finance other projects (baby) as a result.
I just watched a video on RUclips where he soaked his radiator resavoir in something you can get a Home Depot and it made it look new. Really cheap and it was pretty quick.
That Classic Toy with all the work you put into it is anything but a beater you absolutely have do the exterior now repaint it in the factory color it will totally give it a full on second chance at a good life after all you work hard so your truck can have a good life Amen .you
Best thing for mild scratches is Eastwood Rhodite Glass polishing Compound using their polishing wheel (a kit) Love this refurb / build. Would you consider a rat rod type exterior finish ?
sometimes this restoration reminds me a bit of the Stephen king film "Christine" like where he puts new wiper blades on a cracked window screen ie why put new side lights on a rusty dented wing panel and why put "new" window winder mechanism in but not grease the gears it squeaks when you wound it up ?

You can put black or clear nail polish on the edges of tint to keep it from pelling as fast

The correct slurry compound for window polishing is cerium oxide get it online.
(uncooked) Rice, dishwasher tablet and some water will clean up that radiator overflow. Keep shaking the solution until the black comes off.

You can wet sand the glass with 2000 grit and a soft block to prevent ripples

Using a glass polish and a felt pad I think would be better for polishing the windows
Those 79-83 marker lights look better on there than those old ones.
Not sure if you’ve driven at night yet but I highly recommend upgrading headlights man can’t see anything at night lol
Try some steel wool and chrome polish on the windows it gets most scratch’s out the glass
0000 steel wool should help those windows. It's ultra fine and lightly abrasive

If you can feel the glass scratches with your finger nails, they won’t buff out.
You can bleach that reservoir fir a couple of days and turn it back to near new again
