Such a wonderful tour! Question for you - does it have an ominous feeling there?

I saw a tour that does the Amalfi coast, sorrento and pompeii but with arthritis, I was wondering if I should do a self-tour as I am not fast. Can I see the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and sorrento by public train or should I take the tour? Would you do it in 2 days if you are self pacing?

Hello there, you can do Pompeii and Sorrento by train but to go to the Amalfi coast you will need to take a bus or a taxi. You can do Pompeii and Sorrento in one day, spend the night in Sorrento then take a tour from there to the Amalfi coast.

@TravelAddictsLife thank you so much 😀 I really appreciate how much you have helped! It is so so kind of you.
One more question and I swear I will go away. Would a Sunday be a bad idea to go to Sorrento? Am I better to go on a Tuesday?

I have a dumb question.. so if I purchase the ticket to Sorrento and stop in Herculenium and then want to go to Pompeii after that do I have to purchase another train ticket? Or with the same ticket I originally purchased I’m able to hop on the train from herculenium to pompeii?

Hello Sandra, In theory that would be possible but it is better to double check at the train station ticket counter because we are not 100% sure

@@elenayu5384 yes I was able to figure it out and in fact that’s exactly what we did when we went to both places. We purchased the ticket to Sorrento at Naples train station and we made 2 stops one in Herculaneum and one to Pompeii.

Hello! I’m from France, I love your videos, I’ve seen a lot lately because you share great information. In a week, (june 24th) I will be with my fiancée in the Costa Toscana. Can’t wait, we are so excited, and this will be our first cruise. I have organized almost everything, but I’m still doubtfull about Naples-Pompeii… first thing, I’m not sure if staying in Naples or going there. I mean, I will be happy to visit Pompeii, but I can’t find tickets to avoid the lines if it’s not a guided visit. We want to visit for ourselves, but we don’t know if the lines to get tickets are gonna be to long… Do you have any recommendation you could share with me? Do we stay in Naples, do we visit Pompeii…? what kind of tickets should I get if so…? Thank you for your videos and have a nice day and week-end !

Good morning Guillaume, thank you so much for your comment. We love Naples and we always have a lot of fun there so we like to spend at leadst one night in the city. Regarding Pompeii you can get the skip the line with audio guide and basically do the tour on your own. You can find the tour in this link: readysetitaly.com/pompeii let us know how you like it, and if you have some extra time go check out Herculaneum as well it is a wonderful site.

@@TravelAddictsLife thank you very much for your answer. I think I’m gonna do what you suggest. I will book tickets with the audio guides on the website you recomend. I just need to calculate the right time for the booking. Could you also tell me, please, what site or app you use to buy the train tickets? I will use it also to visit Rome aswell from Civitavecchia. Thank you!
