@@BobaTalks Thanks Boba bro for all the comic book goodness u have given us geeks through the years. On both Marvel and the DCEU an now DCU. Especially with the Batman part 2. Can't wait to find out more about it. And what Reeves an company are cooking up
I was definitely feeling like Bliss was a modified version of the Scarecrow toxin at first. Maybe Crane is already locked in Arkham and Rush takes on the mantel
If Julian is in fact, Scarecrow, maybe he was forced to change his name after losing his license because of unsanctioned methods or experiments? He could have gotten kicked out of one facility and ended up at Arkham with the fake name.
It may be a stretch, but Crane also plays into the whole bird/winged animal theme, like in Batman 1 (Falcone, Batman, Penguin, etc.). Rushes are also a type of bird that has long legs for their size (like a Crane bird does) so it could be a reference to that.
Its just that Rush ( bird) look nothing like the Crane. I could see if the last name was instead Stork, Heron, Egret, Sandhill etc then yeah to your theory but nah.
I think part of the reason why Matt Reeves is changing some of the names for the characters is for two reasons. 1.) He wants to make a grounded cinematic Batman universe (We all know this...) 2.) It allows him to keep us guessing! I really think that Julian Rush = Johnathan Crane, but think about this... if they just came out and called him Johnathan Crane we would already know he is going to be the Scarecrow. There wouldn't be any mystery.... no suspense. Our reactions would simply be.... "Oh that's Johnathan Crane, he's the scarecrow" *Moving on* This way allows them to play with the characters and really build up the suspence and mystery behind them. Now the audience goes.... Who is Julian Rush? Is he a bad guy? Is he the Scarecrow? Is her Hugo Strange? Mad Hatter? Hush? The point is we don't know and it makes this series a much more thrilling thing watch. The character can be fleshed out and built before our eyes, fully developed and fully appreciated! (They couldnt do this with the Riddler, Carmine and Penguin because they needed to sell the movie with certain well known Rogues gallery figures. Now the real mystery begins)
I think, if anything, Reeves decided that he wanted to give Scarecrow a full show for an origin, and not just cram his origin into the Penguin’s origin. So we get a tease and a hint to his character here, but we don’t get the full evolution until after Part 2
Just wanted to note about "maybe this was shot a while ago" Colin Ferrell stated that they shot all the episodes in order. So its definitely not a leftover or oversight.
One theory I saw is that if Julien IS scarecrow, maybe he got fired from some mental institution where he used to work due to some sort of malpractice, which is why he changed his name/identity in order to get hired at Arkham. I hope they didn't totally change direction from doing Scarecrow to just not doing Scarecrow at all, and are just keeping it under wraps for now. Matt Reeves is obsessed with little details. Something like this doesn't seem like the kind of thing he would just "forget" about and have the showrunner leave in despite it no longer being relevant in any way.
At the end of the day, they aren't above a name change for the sake of the story. They seem more interested in telling a new Batman story than adapting the comics directly
@@NedInYaHead Sure they are doing their own iterations of the characters and story, which is pretty normal. But I mean there is a difference between changing some last names slightly(really just Oswald Cobb since Eddie Nashton is from the comics already) and completely changing a character's name altogether. Personally I don't think this franchise is nearly as contrarian some people keep making it out to be. So something that drastic might not be purely to creatively distance itself from the source. I could easily see it being because they just don't want to fully reveal who the character is yet, and will instead reveal it later through some twist. Other than that, I guess another possible reason I see them giving him a completely new name is maybe because they want him to essentially be a mashup of two or more characters. Like Scarecrow AND Hugo Strange or something.
This universe is so rich And from a character level, seeing this awkward, almost alien like Bruce struggling with becoming “human”, be it the public Bruce, but also as a emotionally healthy man, opening himself to relationships and connections once more (like having to become a father figure to a young ward), is just compelling drama and a journey I’m on board for.
There's literally a 2-3 frame shot of riddler looking down at the Iceberg Lounge in The Batman. He's obsessed with details. There is no accidents on set.
I think him being scarecrow makes his odd demeanor in the penguin make more sense; He enjoys watching Sofia be in fear/needs to be controlled so he isn't fearful or something to that effect idk
Scarecrow played such a big role in the Nolan batman that it feels like it’s time to highlight some other Batman villains. He would also make sense as Mad Hatter or Hugo Strange.
@@bigheadrhino I truly think someone being in another movie is a realllly stupid reason for a villain to not be in yet another movie, batman begins came out nearly a decade ago.
@@somerandomfella6807I agree. I never understood that logic. I'm all for seeing different versions of the same characters in live action. I think it's really cool
Julian Rush is likely an alias. It will be revealed, he is why more demented then it appears, I think he had direct hand in pushing Sofia to delete her family. I think there is much much much more goin on with Julian Rush... he seems so phony and off when interacting with Sofia, I think thats intentional.
I REALLY hope they didn't change his name. My hope is that Julian starts working for Hugo Strange and plays a pivotal role in their schemes, and that they end up creating some of Batman's rogues gallery villains by helping inmates don their persona's, and maybe Julian shares his own ideas and research with Jonathan Crane, helping him create his Scarecrow persona. Man, we better get an Arkham show.
my theory is julian is a alias would make since outta all people Jonathan crane would want to work under a alias if hes already been dabbling in forms of malpractice
Something is very off on Rush character. He does experiments in Arkham, he works with her personally hallucinogen and with her out, some think he’s in her head. He “quit “ his job and came back to it so easily ? Now these hints…something bigger or nothing, or it changed
Yea no i hated this character the whole show he was the only thing about the show i didnt like if he turns out to be my favorite villain i will be furious.
Harvey Dent is definitely going to be in this movie... and eventually because Moroni is dead... i believe the Penguin will be responsible for him turning into 2face...just not in this movie
Also, the idea of combining Hush & Clayface (one of the more popularly theorized rogues for a while there) in a way makes sense. They both use others faces/identities. Not a conventional take but I trust the writers could spin it/make it work were this to be the case.
From everything I've heard, it would just make sense for the villains to be the Court of Owls with Tommy Elliot esentially replacing Lincoln March (who was never a fan favorite anyway). Both the Court and Tommy would also add to the Bruce Wayne idea. Don't think we're getting Freeze, Oz won't be alone, we're not getting Clayface, this is my guess. And hey, in the comics Scarecrow was Tommy's mentor, so they can work in that factor as well.
AGREED GG FACTs Matthew Lillard a creepy mafukka....!!!! XD Hed be a dope ass Scarecrow bro I WANTED JOKER TO BE PLAYED BY 'ROBERT KNEPPER" HES A BAD ASS ACTOR CHECK HIM HED MAKE PERFECT DARK JOKER
There’s a lot of unanswered questions around Julian Rush. He started off as seemingly a regular psychiatrist for Sofia, but as the series progressed, he began showing more of his darker undertones. I never even noticed the glove, and definite burlap sack (aka mask) on the background table. I pray that’s them teasing his true identity. It would be such a nice payoff if they don’t leave it as something we weren’t supposed to notice, and never acknowledge it again. I get that ideas change, and different avenues are taken while making movies… but come on… Scarecrow in The Batman universe would go so hard!
Agreed and I just don’t think Matt Reeves is that sloppy to put that in there just to forget about it. Crane/Scarecrow exists in this universe that I feel confident about we just do not know exactly how he will show up. Very exciting.😊
It's either... -Julian Rush is a fake name Jonathan Crane is using from previous malpractice (Which I hope it to be) -They changed Scarecrows name to Julian Rush like Cobb instead of Cobblepot, and it's just "Julian Rush The Scarecrow" (hope not) -They once were going to have him be Jonathan Crane, but canceled it and just made him an original character and scrapped the idea but nod to it once being once a thing (hope not) If it's one of the latters than I hope they read feedback and excitement from fans, and decide to make it that he was Jonathan Crane all along, and he changed his name due to malpractice. It makes for a really cool way for him to be introduced, and I think Theo Rossi would kill it as Scarecrow, Julian Rush is already a really cool character, and I could see him doing something special with it if he could go full on Jonathan Crane and evolve into iconic comicbook villain we all know and love to hate, The Scarecrow.
I don't really see them hiring him as just a throw away character, he's not the biggest actor by any means, but he's also not a nobody. And the last name with Crane and Rush and being the same syllables could be a stretch, but it might not be. Don't forget that painting in his office either lol.
Neve Campbell could probably be the lead female villian in The Court of Owls. She is an older woman and Neve is 51. So it could work in Reeves universe.
Adrenaline Rush Julian Rush Adrenaline is a hormone that is released when stressed or in fear. Julian Rush sounds similar to Adrenaline rush. I think it is a hint that he is Scarecrows
Personally the two villains I most want to see in this universe are two-face and scarecrow. I feel like introducing Harvey Dent in the next film as the “white knight” the city needs, and also have the Court of Owls pulling strings in the background and eventually leading to Dent’s burns and psychological break could be really cool. It would play into the idea reeves is going for with the birth of the super villain being a response to the endless corruption in Gotham. As for scarecrow, I would love Rush to end up becoming the character and eventually being the main villain of the 3rd film. Perhaps he’s using the situation in Gotham as a playground for his own psychological experiments born from his new found ambition seen in the penguin. Perhaps he ends up setting his sights on Batman as a subject in a plot that could link in the other rogues.
I honestly think that after what happened in The Penguin that Theo Rossi’s Julian Rush has changed his name bc he doesn’t want Oz to find him and he uses the pseudonym Jonathan Crane to change his identity
I think scarecrow is around behind the scenes and must have a connection to Arkham in this universe. I also think Dr. Julian Rossi is under the tutelage of Dr. Thomas Crane I think the mask and the glove in the episode of the penguin were Easter eggs to let us know that Dr. Crane is operating in the shadows and this maybe a hint to which members of the Batman’s rogues gallery we will see in part two
I really want to The Batman part II introduce Harvey Dent (Two-Face) for his own series like The Penguin and then be the villain in the 3rd Movie. This is quite a new formula for DC movie universe thats really gonna works for The Batman. Also with Harvey Dent they could do cameos with the Bruce Wayne persona cos they were close friends so it is justified. So, in the movies full Batman persona (cos it is more expensive) and the series Bruce Wayne. 1st movie - The tip of the iceberg Mobsters and deepweb fanatics (Falcone / Riddler) - series: Character development of Penguin and easter egg of new sub villain 2nd movie - Political Corruption (The Penguin / Scarecrow) - series: Character development of Harvey Dent and easter egg of another villain 3rd movie - Madness and justice by own hands (Two-Face / The Joker)
Im throwing out complete speculation, but you could easily make Scarecrow the villain of a Catwoman series if you wanted to. Especially with the way Sofia is linked to both of them
Plus Selena Kyle has a long history with Crane/Scarecrow in the Catwoman comics. They hate each other and have had several stories surrounding the two of them that do not include Batman. Selena/Catwoman spin-off with Sophia and Julian Rush as Scarecrow is an awesome idea and moves the plot forward.
That scene was specifically after Julian rescued Sofia. Remember how it happened: Sofia called him asking for help, sounding injured, said it was Oz, and then stopped responding as the phone dropped to the ground. Any man would know that this woman was in danger and in a bad situation. He had it on the table not from an oversight, but because he had donned the costume when he went out to rescue her.
I feel like it's pretty clear Rush is Scarecrow. I really like that Reeves has changed names for Penguin and Scarecrow. It's definitely going to keep us guessing and talking.
I think if people knew it Jonathon Crane maybe it would’ve maybe made people see oz as less evil. Like if the only way his mom recalls oz killing her sons is from fear toxin then it would’ve made us believe oz more. Like of course it’s her biggest fear if one of kids killed the other two and would’ve taken away from oz’s evilness. I think he should just been crane because he’s such a weird guy for like no reason.
Maybe he becomes Hugo strange and is helping scarecrow create his new identity or Hugo is helping Julian become a new person. I just want Hugo and Crane man.
Great video man! It's really interesting to hear the direction that Matt Reeves will be taking for Batman in Part 2. I really hope we get the court of owls. Maybe Matt Reeves can find some way to interconnect Hush and the Court of Owls in one movie. Have Tommy Elliot replace Lincoln March in terms of a final battle with Batman in the night of the owls storyline. A lot to think about and a lot to get excited for. Keep up the great work!
I’d be very surprised if they had scarecrow work in arkham again . That was something that was unique to the dark knight movies and I feel it would be a bit too similar . I’d think that even if they had him in these movies but even more so as someone who works in Arkham . In the comics he was a teacher , not someone who works in Arkham as far as I recall
Boba I wanna thank you for all these updates every since I gotten back into dc (mostly bc of you and your videos) it’s got me so excited for what’s coming up, put my friend’s onto your videos and we have our own boba talks I wanna thank you man for all these videos and have a good wedding brodie ❤️
NEW SERIOUS IDEA!....OK I wanna see Michael Keaton in a Batman/penguin series in the style of the penguin with Farrell, he is incredible in that role and should win an Emmy for it. Expanding the Gotham gritty empire displayed in the penguin is the key to rebuilding a whole new world around the Batman bringing in every classic villain season after season. But this re-imagining should be focused around the villains as "the good guys" telling the story from the other side. This would be hugely successful if done right. Can you imagine Colin Farrel playing penguin and another great actor (any suggestions?) playing the joker and teaming up to take down an old Batman played by Keaton. The potential here is HUGE. Push this to the top and maybe someone will see it and pass it along to people in the position to make it happen
Something I do wonder about is how the Arkham Asylum series was in development at roughly the same time as The Penguin and how Arkham does play quite a significant role in the series primarily because of Julian and Sofia. I do wonder if The Penguin was also meant to lead into the Arkham series, and Julian, potentially Sofia as well, were meant to return for that, but since the series was changed to being DCU canon, potentially, i guess they decided to change Jonathan Crane to Julian Rush. I don't know, it's just something to think about.
I think they left the set decorations in as an opportunity to expand him into Scarecrow, or have another Arkham employee / prisoner take his title after studying his methods. They left the door open after the door for Matt Reeves Arkham series was shut (and turned into a James Gunn Arkham show).
I think it helps the juggling if Court of Owls is in the way of Penguins political rise and he "uses" Batman to help his rise. With Batman also feeling like he has to use Penguin because of how powerful the Court of Owls is.
It could absolutely just be that Crane is in Arkham, and Rush had confiscated his gear and was studying it. Maybe Rush ends up being someone who works with Strange to create some of these Rogues?
maybe it wasn't Gunn who made them rename, but Reeves as he'd be writing Part II while this is going on and found that it would make more sense for Crane to appear in another capacity there rather than Penguin
The Main central villains I could see next besides Court Of Owls is Hush, Bane, Scarecrow, Hugo Strange, Ra's Al Ghul, and Two-Face Other villains will be reserved for re-occurring/side villains And hopefully they keep Joker for last and don't use him too early after all the Joker and Harley stuff we had too much of as of recently
Helluva breakdown man. I totally get what you’re talking about on all fronts. I’m thinking that he may be operating under an assumed name or just play Scarecrow as Julian Rush. They could have removed the desk items digitally in post. As meticulous as this team is I can’t see it not being a purposeful seed or Easter egg. Great catch bc I never noticed that shit on his desk.
Honestly, this Arkham series was probably going to be pretty serious. I think A LOT here were tapped to introduce many/multiple Rogues Gallery Arkham villains. I do blame James Gunn. I bet he didn't want too many villains being touched on, bc he would hate to have to repeat villains so soon once he starts his stupid DCEU world building.
I want to be excited for the Gunnverse and I think he can do a good job, but I really hate the idea that he is potentially undermining what Reeves wants to do. Him saying the Arkham show was always pitched as a DCU project despite all the evidence heavily suggesting it was originally being intended for the Reevesverse doesn't sit well at all with me. I really hope they didn't cut Scarecrow because of Gunn, and are just reworking how they want to introduce the character.
@Joshcoshbagosh I 100% agree. Reeves is oddly enough breathing new life into the genre, kind of by revisiting the whole slightly-grounded approach. Gunn's current approach is kind of just "DC the MCU way". I don't think he thought the Reevesverse was going to be as highly praised as it is. But yeah, it'd be a big shame if that was the case. Let's hope not.
If Julian isn’t Scarecrow but Scarecrow/Crane is still in the Bat-verse, maybe he could be a close, trusted colleague of Crane’s, and he only has the glove and mask so he can perfect something for Crane. Julian could provide Crane with all of his truly disturbed patients Crane would be interested in.
Ok this is what I've been thinking for the past days after watching the series and searching for easter eggs. I believe they abandoned the idea of showcasing scarecrow in the Penguin series altogether. That would make sense, because the spotlight in this tv show is on Sofia and Oz. However, I still think Julian Rush has a bigger impact in this universe. I really think Julian Rush's character fits better with the Mad Hatter personna. He's not that tall, kinda has a crush on Sofia, dream like therapy, his desk drawers are already full of medication, which makes me believe he already is addicted and explains his erratic behaviour in some scenes, and the clocks that can be heard in some dreams. On the other hand, I also think that scarecrow could appear in the next film, but not as a full on villain. Jonathan Crane maybe appears as a young doctorate with certain phobias, but really, really smart. A relation with his father could also happen, but skipping all that origin story. He would need therapy to overcome his fears and start therapy with Dr. Julian Rush, minutes before Sofia appears in need of help in the beginning of the 4th episode of Penguin. Julian Rush's therapy with him would be an Until Dawn kind of style, where the patient faces his worst fears, and the next session Julian would fill his workspace with items resembling that fear. That would explain Julian Rush's desk being a total mess, the glove, the mask, the picture on the wall, the toys hanging on the book shelf.
If Scarecrow is the villain in the Batman Part II I will pleased. Matt reeves has already given us the creepiest version of Riddler and easily the most evil and despicable version of penguin. His version of scarecrow would be the stuff of nightmares.
I'm glad I waited to comment this time because I was just about to say that it all might've been a long-term plan to have him first appear in The Penguin but then follow up his story much more in the Arkham series that was supposed to be in the Batverse. Which I still think it's bullshit that it switched to the DCU, all for it just to get scrapped all together. Imagine him testing new scare drugs on Arkham patients in the middle of the night wearing his mask and glove (plus I'm sure more of a freaky long coat with a hood) and scaring the shit out of them and doing who knows what else. Then at the end giving them the natural form of Bliss to calm them down when he's done. Or some shit like that, lol. Arkham could've been so incredible in the Reeves Verse. Plus, I wonder where Sofia got those scares on her left shoulder? Were they there before she went to Arkham? I can't remember. Another fantastic video as always, bro.
I think the inclusion of the mask and glove on Dr. Rush’s desk was a sly wink at the audience saying this is in his future. They could easily explain the name change by saying he changed his last name because of a malpractice suit against him and perhaps Julian Rush becomes Julian Crane- but honestly I don’t think the name matters all that much. I don’t think, we’ll see Scarecrow until the third movie, since he was a major villian in Nolan’s Dark Knight films.
Julian's absence at the airport in the finale has been sticking out to me. Maybe they cut an extra plotline with his character because of the change in direction, which would have explained where he was.
I really wanted to see Robert Pattison play real Bruce Wayne and it’s gonna be funny thinking that he hates everything he dose as the Bruce Wayne persona
He doesn’t hate everything he does as Bruce they literally said he’d have a hard time being Batman in this one, if anything he just hates the attention and spotlight.
I know scarecrow has been done in the Nolan movies and Arkham. But I feel like he’d be such a good villian in this specific Batman universe. Firstly we have probably the most established version of Arkham. Plus I feel he’d be perfect for a potential Arkham series. But one thing I really hope is he’s not Julian rush. There’s literally no reason for them to change his name from Jonathan Crane. It’s a pretty normal sounding name. Maybe crane had to change his name or something he needs to be called Jonathan crane
@ exactly. I was honestly expecting them to name drop him in one of the Arkham scenes… but if rush is actually doctor crane it just seems a bit of a missed opportunity for reeves to build a load of hype. Hes obviously meant to be scarecrow… but how can someone who missed that tease with the glove and mask be excited because scarecrow has never been called rush. It’s always been crane and should stay like that. I really don’t like these name changes. I get it’s meant to be more realistic but there’s only so much realism you can have in a movie about a guy that’s dressed up as a bat
@@unsilencedchaos2112 I have faith that Reeves & co. will do right by the source material while still finding a way to keep it fresh and modern. They’ve handled it all with care so far, and I have no reason to assume they will drop the ball with the sequels. The large scale corruption angle is a brilliant entry point that allows them to incorporate as many rogues and villains as they want. I full expect all of Joker, Crane, Dent, the Court of Owls on top of the Penguin, Riddler, Selina (and hopefully Sophia) characters to factor in at some point.
I can see Bruce vs Penguin w/ Owls and Batman vs Scarecrow. Joker with be the instigator and fucking with Batman’s insecurity. Oh how I’m craving a Arkham Asylum show just to showcase other villains who won’t be in the show but in this universe. Maybe Arkham would be the show after The Batman 2?
I do hope this character and actor dont end up being Scarecrow coz I really wasn’t all that drawn to him or had that feeling seeing him on screen that he’d eventually be scarecrow or something but Id be totally down for him to be a colleague of Cranes or something like that and that’s where crane learnt of the bliss drug and maybe made a new strain of it or that was his plug or supplier of the clinical version of it. Some actors I’d still would love to see actor like Jackie Earle Haley like imagine his Rorschach voice in a nightmare and i really liked his version of Freddy Krueger even tho that movie was shitty… or even Scott McCord who stars in ‘From’ who is amazing in that show who’s running circles around the other actors talent.
I love The Batman and Penguin. And the comic they seem to be adapting sounds great. I just kind of wish the sequel would be picking up a week after the conclusion of the first movie. I wish they gave some time in the universe's time period and see the growth from the first film.

Our scooper Boba out there on the front lines finding hidden details for all of us. Thanks for all your work Boba!
I cannot wait until we get that first Matt Reeves casting tweet
How did I miss this? How did everyone miss this? Not that theory itself, we all speculated about it, but the actual Scarecrow gear in the background.
I don’t like him as scarecrow but would like him as a protege or student of Jonathan
@humminahumminabewbz Mads Mikkelsen perphas
Robert Englund if he isn't retired.
Yea no i hated this character the whole show he was the only thing about the show i didnt like if he turns out to be my favorite villain i will be furious.
Yes, I agree
@@kwasnyrychu4322 he’s my choice for Victor Fries
Harvey Dent is definitely going to be in this movie... and eventually because Moroni is dead... i believe the Penguin will be responsible for him turning into 2face...just not in this movie
I agree. Oz will get some one to acid Harvey somehow
@KingKhupacabra yep
Just give us freeze
Also, the idea of combining Hush & Clayface (one of the more popularly theorized rogues for a while there) in a way makes sense. They both use others faces/identities. Not a conventional take but I trust the writers could spin it/make it work were this to be the case.
I couldn’t be happier if Scarecrow is in the next film. Crane changing his name makes plenty of sense. I hope they make him scary as hell.
Maybe Scarecrow will be the next big bad, potentially alongside The Court of Owls in The Batman 2. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I came imagining the Scarecrow being playing by Matt Lillard; look up his past roles and you'll see why
I wish he'll be plastic man in the dcu
AGREED GG FACTs
Matthew Lillard a creepy mafukka....!!!! XD
Hed be a dope ass Scarecrow bro
I WANTED JOKER TO BE PLAYED BY 'ROBERT KNEPPER" HES A BAD ASS ACTOR CHECK HIM HED MAKE PERFECT DARK JOKER
I never even thought of Matt Lillard as Jonathan Crane, he would also be a very interesting professor pyg
I imagined Tony Todd as Scarecrow, but unfortunately we’ll never get that
ZOIIINKS …. LIKE SCOOOOB
What if Julian is an understudy of the Scarecrow? A discipline or something
That’s what I’m thinking. What if he’s undertaking Crane’s theory as Johnathan crane is dead…..
He’s much better as an ex student or something. He could potentially bring Crane in after Crane got fired or something
@@KingAtreides03to early for him to be dead like wtf 😂
@@evangingerson1271what do you mean early?? It’s an adaptation of a character- anything goes. Tell me how you create a story without telling me 😂
There’s a lot of unanswered questions around Julian Rush.
-Julian Rush is a fake name Jonathan Crane is using from previous malpractice (Which I hope it to be)
-They changed Scarecrows name to Julian Rush like Cobb instead of Cobblepot, and it's just "Julian Rush The Scarecrow" (hope not)
-They once were going to have him be Jonathan Crane, but canceled it and just made him an original character and scrapped the idea but nod to it once being once a thing (hope not)
If it's one of the latters than I hope they read feedback and excitement from fans, and decide to make it that he was Jonathan Crane all along, and he changed his name due to malpractice.
Just my theory but I think they'll introduce another Doctor Named Jonathan Crane and Julian Rush is a different doctor who works for Arkham
2026 couldn't come any quicker.Batman part 2 is going to be awesome.
I don’t want the Batman to end with three movies… I want at least 6
Black Mask,Anarchy,
Mr Freeze,Mad Hatter,
Two Face,Deadshot, Dr Pyg
I want them all in the universe
@humminahumminabewbz rad?
Yeah….six…teen….
With HBO series between each movie 😅
I don't really see them hiring him as just a throw away character, he's not the biggest actor by any means, but he's also not a nobody. And the last name with Crane and Rush and being the same syllables could be a stretch, but it might not be. Don't forget that painting in his office either lol.
What was the painting in his office
@Nadatingbeybey it's like someone screaming in terror, it's called "scream louder, scream twice" if I remember right
Neve Campbell could probably be the lead female villian in The Court of Owls. She is an older woman and Neve is 51. So it could work in Reeves universe.
Adrenaline Rush
Julian Rush
Adrenaline is a hormone that is released when stressed or in fear. Julian Rush sounds similar to Adrenaline rush. I think it is a hint that he is Scarecrows
That is definitely Scarecrow props !!
I know we are looking forward to new villains making an appearance in Batman 2 but I'm really hoping we get to see more of this new joker!
theo rossi is perfect for a fresh take on scarecrow
I need the Arkham show where they have like an talk scene with him and the joker, and its like the one comic where the therapist that turns crazy
I like him as Scarecrow and I like how they’re building up the character.
I honestly think that after what happened in The Penguin that Theo Rossi’s Julian Rush has changed his name bc he doesn’t want Oz to find him and he uses the pseudonym Jonathan Crane to change his identity
This is the only channel i trust when it comes to information, too many channels are clickbaiting for views
amazing video as always I think scarecrow would really fit in this batman universe.
1st movie - The tip of the iceberg Mobsters and deepweb fanatics (Falcone / Riddler)
- series: Character development of Penguin and easter egg of new sub villain
2nd movie - Political Corruption (The Penguin / Scarecrow)
- series: Character development of Harvey Dent and easter egg of another villain
3rd movie - Madness and justice by own hands (Two-Face / The Joker)
This is what I was thinking regarding the movie roster breakdown. I'm just curious how Selene/Sofia will factor in?
Thanks so much for the video man! Great work as usual.
I nearly spit out my coffee when I saw that bluerayangel had pretended to “notice” the scarecrow thing on Twitter 😂
After watching the Penguin, if Bruce-as-Bruce meets Oz face to face, I would actually be a little afraid for him!
Oh man, so happy there's a video out. Got an injury and it's been a long ass friday. Cheers Boba!
I think Theo Rossi Would’ve been a very Good Victor Zsasz
Maybe he becomes Hugo strange and is helping scarecrow create his new identity or Hugo is helping Julian become a new person. I just want Hugo and Crane man.
THE SCARE CROW SO BAD ASS HE NEEDS A PROPER DARKSIDE ROLE. HES SCARY AS FUK IN COMICS
Boba we love the long videos and love when you ramble
Boba you’re easily my favorite Batman content creator. Keep up the good work and never apologize for longer videos. I love them 🦇
thanks for clear research over The Batman 2 news
Boba I wanna thank you for all these updates every since I gotten back into dc (mostly bc of you and your videos) it’s got me so excited for what’s coming up, put my friend’s onto your videos and we have our own boba talks I wanna thank you man for all these videos and have a good wedding brodie ❤️
I’ve been looking for a video from this guy, needed the Batman updates!!!
The hype for Part II is giving me major Deja Vu for The Theories in 2020 and 2021 for the first one
I get to watch a Boba video before heading into work this time?! 😮🎉
I see Rush as more of a Hugo Strange type of character. I think the Scarecrow artifacts are just souvenirs he kept while working with Jonathan Crane.
maybe it wasn't Gunn who made them rename, but Reeves as he'd be writing Part II while this is going on and found that it would make more sense for Crane to appear in another capacity there rather than Penguin
The Main central villains I could see next besides Court Of Owls is Hush, Bane, Scarecrow, Hugo Strange, Ra's Al Ghul, and Two-Face
Other villains will be reserved for re-occurring/side villains
And hopefully they keep Joker for last and don't use him too early after all the Joker and Harley stuff we had too much of as of recently
Being THE FIRST is power
Helluva breakdown man. I totally get what you’re talking about on all fronts. I’m thinking that he may be operating under an assumed name or just play Scarecrow as Julian Rush. They could have removed the desk items digitally in post. As meticulous as this team is I can’t see it not being a purposeful seed or Easter egg. Great catch bc I never noticed that shit on his desk.
Boba, please try to get an interview with Matt Reeves when he goes on the press run for Part II…I need to see that happen 😂
I’m a simple man; any time Boba uploads anything Reeves-verse/Battinson related, I clicks..
Gotham is sitting on top of a Lazarus Pit, spilling hate and mistrust into the entire city.
Like in Arkham City and Knight.
I want to see Hugo Strange... the scarecrow and the joker in the same movie....maybe for the 3rd film
Btw, Rhenzy Feliz confirmed that Batman 2 will be set in Snow
Thanks for all your hard work Boba !!!!
And yes it was just truly amazing, the Batman part two
And yes Matt Reeves did a fantastic job saying that
Julian's absence at the airport in the finale has been sticking out to me.
It’s hard to imagine Dr. Crane / Scarecrow not being a part of this universe at some point given how much focus they’ve already put on Arkham
Best channel for DC content and news🔥
I can see Bruce vs Penguin w/ Owls and Batman vs Scarecrow. Joker with be the instigator and fucking with Batman’s insecurity. Oh how I’m craving a Arkham Asylum show just to showcase other villains who won’t be in the show but in this universe. Maybe Arkham would be the show after The Batman 2?
Correction, the gif Theo posted isn’t just any old gif. It’s “The Macho King. Randy Savage.”
Scarecrow is the main or ONE OF antagonist of PART II alongside maybe Hush. I'm calling it now.
Sucks that batman is the only thing keeping dc on its legs all there stuff should be like this not just the batman stuff
I love The Batman and Penguin. And the comic they seem to be adapting sounds great. I just kind of wish the sequel would be picking up a week after the conclusion of the first movie. I wish they gave some time in the universe's time period and see the growth from the first film.
