- The Dutchman’s frustrating afternoon in Budapest came after he had stayed up late the previous night participating in his hobby of sim racing, with some members of the British media - including David Croft, the Sky F1 commentator - heavily implying that a lack of sleep had contributed to his short temper.
Verstappen responded by telling his critics to “f*** off” after the race in Hungary, with Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton telling media in Belgium that the Red Bull man should “act like a World Champion.”
During this weekend, he was caught multiple time defending his sim racing hobby during interviews.
Verstappen set a comfortable pole position on Saturday at Spa, with his fastest lap in a rain-affected session a massive 0.595 seconds ahead of second-placed Charles Leclerc.

This translation is just completely wrong, he said “ze kunnen de pot op”, which is in no way the same as saying “they can fuck off”. It is far more softer.
Yeah they make it sound way worse, bad translation
Exactly!!!
"they can get lost"

On the other hand "zeiken" is translated to "complain" but it has the energy of "to bitch about".
In 10 years when Max is out of F1 and running successful GT3 programs we will look back on all this shit people gave him for being passionate about racing, IRL and SIM. In reality, Max is in F1 to be the best and to afford sim racing lol
Well said by Max 💪💪💪
It's about being professional
Good for you, Max... you tell them!!! Veel succes met Zandvoort!
Hw many championships have his haters won? 😂
Like he said, they can go pot op 😂
And this is me being a lewis fan and still admiring max.
Max is 😎
Nu wel uit gezeurd toch. Zwart kijkers.
???
😂😂😂😂😂🎉😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤fhim
for Red bull to not win a race its actually a huge problem because of sponsors thery want to dominate and win races and not coming in 3rd place because u played a game night before.
he is childish...
The race he did the night before had nothing to do with his performance in hungary. It was a mix of shit strategy, a slow car, and several months of pent up anger and frustration
His talent comes from his addiction to racing (sim or irl), so I don t think he ll stop anytime soon. Like it or not that s what made him 3 time world champ and soon 4.
