Yes, contrary to the albums and the audio tree, i wonder how their label got the production so sub par on both previous albums, the 2011 was somewhat the less worst of the 3 albums.
Ovlov sounds like a worm who just ate a tunnel through an apple (a green one) and now has reached the other end and is creating an imbalance, because he has a big head compared to his body, which causes the apple to roll while the worm's head is touching the ground every few seconds, while he is screaming loud as hell, but melodically, while birds are singing, waiting for the apple to stop rolling so they can have apple filled with worm for lunch.
😅 still, it's honestly the best audio i've heard for them since their little elephant sessions like 7 years ago. i record a lot my hi8 sets and dub them with soundboard audio, for an enhanced experience. wanted to get sb audio when i filmed ovlov last year in nyc but the sound guy fell through.. some advice i'd give to OP is to keep the camcorder's audio and mix it in at a lower gain so the noise floor isn't as 'quiet'.. the added ambient noise will help the audio and video feel more glued together if ya get what i mean 👍
@@shitgazer speaking as the guy who mixed it, thanks!! I did actually have a room mic set up at FOH that's mixed in there - but since it was a multitrack recording I was able to get everything where I wanted it without using as much room mic as I would with a stereo board recording.
god this fucking rules, great set, great sound. Saw Stove and Ovlov at SXSW 2017? and I think about both shows constantly. Truly a great rock band, just perfect.
As many noted, the mix of this live is significantly better than both previous albums and the audio tree session, that tells you desserve a better label, or maybe just produce yourself, it wll be better, the albums are honnestly hard to listen to given the very sub-par overall production (which is a shame for big fans like us). Honnestly when a live sounds better than the album, there is a serious issue at the album production level, mostly the mix and possibly mastering.
@@stevehartlett6001 yo PLEASE. if by one day you guys do find yourselves playing here my band would love to open for you/show you around. even if you come down for visiting i hope to connect!
This belongs in the Library of Congress
💯
This mix honestly crushes the audio tree mix that just dropped
Sounds like they forgot to compressor on the Audio Tree Mix
I honestly agree, pat (he recorded and mixed the audio) is like the official ovlov sound guy
@@dtag7129 yes, this mix is significantly better than both the audiotree and the 3 previous albums.
the mixing on this thing is superb
Yes!!! This sounds so good!

The amazing recording quality combined with the "stunning 480p" is crazy
holy hell man what a band
glad to see them still playing. AM got me through some tough times
They play mainly around the northeast as of late, hopefully they can bless the entire country with a tour soon
We need a full US Ovlov tour this year 😭🥲
AM is everything to me. 2nd favorite album ever. I NEED to see them one day.
cheer up chihiro WITH LIVE SAX. i am so happy
this is like a dream come true
you can barely hear it in the mix but when ted starts ripping the sax the crowd goes nuts. i should have tried mixing in the camcorder audio
@@dtag7129 you did an amazing job! thanks
@@dtag7129yeah man mix sounds great!
all four hartletts ripping at once
To me Ovlov, like not many bands, is the Essence of muscial expression.
This literally made my day. Holy shit. A+ to sound engineer
Dude legit! He did an awesome job capturing this, I wanna buy it to keep and show my Grandkids!
yes, he certainly did a better job than both previous albums and the audio tree sessions, which is a shame.

Sound is on point. Video looks like a 90’s high school band concert though. Thanks for posting. Much appreciated.
i think thats what they were going for.
I Love them. Their songwriting is in another level, effortless , unpretentious, just genious. I wish they came to Spain or Portugal.
Ovlov will forever be my fav band of all time. they need to tour US and come to Dallas!
An ovlov fan in Dallas?
@@quentinham5908 in France too
Ovlov forever! This recording sounds incredible - could easily be mixed for a live album.
I’m not convinced that this isn’t a studio recording dubbed over the live performance
Still come back to this video regularly. And hell, I just saw them live 5 days ago
holy fuck the sound quality and mixing on this performance is incredible
I’ve been looking for an Ovlov concert with high quality audio for so long! Thank you!
Love how the audio quality and video quality DO NOT match. Love this. Well done!

So glad there was such a great recording of this set. Definitely top 3 shows I’ve seen live
