I just love the look May gives at the end. At the biggest festival in the world, she *knows* she killed it. She knows she's part of an amazing band with her friends, that the Glastonbury crowd went crazy for them, and taking in this moment, this beautiful moment, all at once. We are not wasting our pearls on you, you deserve them.

as I walked away from the front of the stage after the gig, I explicitly overheard at least 5 different groups of people all talking about how good this set was. Best act of the weekend
08:30 dude Charlie is really giving it to those drums. It really seems like he's actually taking his anger out or something. Great performance oversll.
I had my own tragic story seeing this performance. I was locked out the festival after packing away everything to the car, they wouldn’t let me in despite my priority crew wristband :( this band saved my life. I had to run thought the entire festival to see the end of this beautiful performance. I got there for the beginning of this song and I stood there in awe tears rolling down my face. I’d missed one of my main acts to see 😪. After it ended I walked to the front of the stage and sat down and continued crying 🤣 a guy named Paul came over and comforted me for a bit, he was chill as fuck. Thanks Paul
Tyler gesturing to have the sound engineer turn down the flute at 5:06 is amazing. I love to see how much they communicate with each other during a performance.
Saw them at Bush Hall and Wide Awake. Bush Hall was one of the best nights of my life. They were cursed at WA, bleed from main stage, rubbish audience, Osees drummer soundchecking in their set, etc etc. I'm so glad they've performed such an amazing song to a crowd who are grateful for their music, they really deserve it.
Black country, New Road, Squid and black midi... the holy trinity of British music, currently. There was not a music scene this solid since Brit Pop days.
I think they are just such a great live band at core which perfects it's performance over time even more so. You can often hear a lot of differences when you hear early performances with newer ones
As sad as it is to see Isaac go (for mental health reasons, and I hope he finds happiness in wherever he goes), May completely killed it. This was beautiful
Were you there. I got the sense that maybe the crowd can sense May isn't the most naturally comfortable frontwoman, so they wanted to show some exta love/encouragement after she nailed it.
May is a better singer, but I still prefer Isaac. It's just a different band now. No more post-punk and more chamber-pop. Which can be more or less your thing. For me it's less my thing, I liked the rough edges that Isaac brought to the sound. But this song is still great.
let's wait and see, perhaps Isaac was a big factor in song direction as well. Turbines/Pigs is the only new track I'd put in fair placement with Ants from Up There
This was so beautiful, completely hypnotised me, what a performance & the ovation they received at the end of this tune really let them know how much the crowd appreciated it, yet another stunning Glastonbury moment 😊
Well thats something else for sure. Just found out that the original frontman got out before the last record release and its intriguing how they are now an almost entirely different band.
The whole vibe is different. Before, all the songs were very introspective and more (post) punky. Now the songs sometimes feel less personal and more like stories, and they're more folky. What remains is the dynamic range and the textural pallet. I like it less, but I think it's just because it feels less coherent. It's like an anthology rather than a single narrative. Still, I'm excited for their future.

Genuinely the most talented group of musicians of this generation, close to tears each time i hear this
Only close to? I was stood there sobbing the whole time
King Gizzard?
I just love the cut at 1:49 to the rest of the band just chilling at the side :)
8:30 the way he screams is so heartbreaking

Bush Hall was beautiful. I went on the second night and would love to hear this track for the for the first time (eyyy) again
@anthonycleary4676 kinda off topic, but nice profile picture. ...like clockwork is one of my favourite record
Black country, New Road, Squid and black midi... the holy trinity of British music, currently.

‘Sorry’ are also really fantastic, in the same kind of scene (also completely agree!)
"Shame" aswell
Shame?
@@tupakuwu they're a band from South London, they performed on the Woodside's stage at glasto

Not sure how they’ve managed to get even better than the live album…but they’ve done so here. What a band, absolute legends

BCNR never misses! The absolute legends!
Unselfish is a word that comes to mind with this band. Great music.
As sad as it is to see Isaac go (for mental health reasons, and I hope he finds happiness in wherever he goes), May completely killed it. This was beautiful
The best performance of the day for sure
i love how the others are just chilling there while may and georgia are playing lol
How is this so good? Even better than the one on their live album?
LMAO
Being in Glastonbury will do that to ya
Yeah the live album was recorded Dec 2022 and they’ve improved so much since. Especially the drumming during the climax. Goosebumps.
idk i still prefer the vocals on the fujirock version a smidge but god damn that ending was great
was here, the most applause for any song i saw all weekend - fuckin brilliant
Were you there. I got the sense that maybe the crowd can sense May isn't the most naturally comfortable frontwoman, so they wanted to show some exta love/encouragement after she nailed it.
WHAT A FUCKING BAND
Witnessed, this moment was the most intense Glastonbury spirit feeling for me all weekend.
8:30 this is how i feel when i listen to this breakdown
i love it when charlie screams lol
I'm so happy seeing the amount of people that went to watch them. Well deserved!
This is how I find out that Georgia from Jockstrap is also in this band??? Being in two best bands is insane!
i hope someone recorded their entire set, this is amazing
The whole thing is on iplayer!
On iPlayer for 1 month only so be quick
literally got goosebumps seeing this live
This was amazing. Tears in my eyes. Why do I feel like a proud father.
that smile at the end with the applause made me so happy
The last verse moved me to tears.
There's something truly meaningful and special in that "you learnt to fly all by yourself".
What a gem of a song
Gen Z representing. Fascinating to see so many people quietly paying attention.
This set had the least amount of talking in the crowd compared to any other set I saw the whole fest
Same even seeing BCNR live at their own concert in Leeds. People all quietly watching in awe.
@datdude3327 that show was the most respectful crowd I've ever been in, genuinely couldn't see a single person even try to talk
Without doubt the best British band out there at the minute. Absolutely streets ahead
To be fair, Isaac was a great singer, but May takes them to a whole new level. That was incredible. I want to go and see them live now.

i still have no words about this band. theyre beyond the best band in the world.
gorgeous! one of the greatest bands our generation has
Best band in Britain right now

How is it possible to be this good😭

Just amazing. Glad they got so much love at Glastonbury and got to perform there. Legends.
Me encantó la canción y su evolución dramática.
Que placer ver a un público que respeta todos los estilos de música y sus tiempos
What a voice. Draws you in without being too showy and performative.
best band out right now. what a fuckin song
Well thats something else for sure. Just found out that the original frontman got out before the last record release and its intriguing how they are now an almost entirely different band.
They still hold onto the majority of their second album style in my opinion

LYRICS
I'll turn into a witch tonight
How did you happen to find me, sir?
Thought no one could see me now
I didn't put my clothes on
The bubble that you left then
I think it's safer than the cold
Not too late to go home now
I'll chew the pill for you
And I'm flying away but I think I saw some turbines
Turning beneath me
Don't waste your pearls on me
Don't waste your pearls on me
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
Slept beside the maggots and worms
Chewed through the mess that we made
Ploughed the ground, good for you
Could grow some plants if you wanted to
Broke the zip inside my stomach
Blood dripping down onto the broom
Off the broom and through the sky
Mixеd with your tears seeped to the ground
And I'm flying away but I think I saw some turbines
Turning beneath me
Don't waste your pearls on me
Don't waste your pearls on me
I'm only a pig, I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
I'm only a pig
Without a broom or bubble
You learnt to fly all by yourself
You could see through the mess
You chose to float above us
Beautiful stuff. Makes me think of poor Issac, does anybody know how he is doing these days?
He's working on a bakery I guess. He seems to be fine.
