I find a peculiar joy in seeing an aging death metal band still killing it.
And doing it better than many young and younger bands of any genre!

Most recognizable vocalist of all time. Awesome mix!!!
John Tardy’s voice is definitely recognizable + Trevor Peres’s rhythm guitar sound. Another voice that is arguably even more recognizable is Peter Steele of “Carnivore” & “Type O Negative” 🤘

The sound and mix is incredible! The band sounds better than ever. They seem to get better with age.

Saw them in Orlando not long ago and they sounded incredible.
they're always tight as fuck.
Think about it, they have had over 25 to 35 years to perfect their sound and performance!!!!! Not taking anything away from their talent at all when I say that.

Really happy that Dying Fetus and Obituary have been playing hardcore festivals recently.
I hope this trend continues on from here on out.
Maybe we could get Suffocation, Death to All or Cannibal Corpse for the next ones!
They go hand in hand with bands like Hatebreed, Twitching Tongues, Mindforce and Trapped Under Ice!
I bet Suffocation will be doing one soon they were on tour with Sanguisugabogg recently and they looked like they were having a great time together and we know the Bogg gets down at the hardcore shows
suffo played night shift fest in florida last year seemed to have a mostly hardcore crowd people going nuts for the slam parts
Internal bleeding also been playing hella HC shows which rocks
Obituary RULES
My introduction to Obituary was from a friend of mine while I was in the military. He was a skinhead from Chicago.
This was '89 btw and the album was Slowly We Rot. I was already into thrash and hardcore, but listening to Obituary took it to another level.

This shows my age a bit but I first seen “Obituary” in London,Ontario,Canada in 1997 at the old “Embassy Hotel” bar which was a sh*t hole & very narrow & only held 400 very cramped people & the stage was so small & only above the main floor by maybe half a foot lol. That was on their “Back From The Dead” tour which is my favourite album & “World Demise”. I had a beer with Trevor Peres after their show & met the whole band, they were so awesome & down to earth! You’d swear they were Canadian lol. I also seen them in London,Ontario a few years ago with “Exodus” & that show kicked ass as well & at a much better venue lol.
I saw them in 1990. After all these years we still talk. Great bunch of guys.
This was absolutely sick but I gotta say they did miss a trick by not playing World Demise, that would have dropped a fucking nuke on the pit
Last night in Birmingham, they closed with Slowly We Rot. It had a similar effect! Lol
Love seeing these amazing death metal bands appearing at hardcore fests. Keep it going and pretty soon everyone will be on stage taking the mic to sing a part. That would be something to see

They missed the best opportunity to play Violence live. Was still a dope set, bummer so many kids disappeared for this.
Then only death metal band from that early 90s era and beyond that seems to only have gotten better with age. Their live show is insanely heavy even if you’re not the biggest fan of their albums.
