    So many people are using “ panic attacks “ as an excuse for bad behavior. As a person who has full blown panic attacks, there is no fighting. What is really the problem is lack of accountability and they get mad because they got arrested, and blame PTSD, panic and anxiety for bad behavior.

      Yeah it's very sad. I've known many women who are in these types of relationships. Alot of them take on the state of mind that it's "impossible" or "too risky" to leave the abusive party and start fresh. They worry that they might end up homeless, alone, or God forbid if they have children, that the kids will end up homeless with them or struggling to survive. It's extremely sad and I pray Women in these situations can pull enough power together to act. I think most people would like to see more community programs available for women in these situations. Not always is it physical abuse, verbal abuse and financial abuse is just as traumatic. I'm a single father and the financial end of my life causes me great stress due to my son's medical condition. But I pray to God and give it my all every single day. I pray this lady can do the same. We all deserve happiness, peace and prosperity in our lives.

      Let's say she's the alcoholic. Her husband scratches her face so hard that he breaks a nail because he feels trapped in the relationship and wants out. Would you be as sympathetic for the man who attacked his wife? Or would you be saying he's a grown man who should have left before resorting to violence?

    What happens in Vegas just might keep you in Vegas longer than you planned.
    Unfortunately Corrections Officers arent given a lot of respect outside of their community. My late husband worked as a CO at the county Sheriff's Dept and experienced that first hand. But he felt like Sgt Gordan does. He passed away one month before he was going to retire.

    It’s sad that our mental health infrastructure is so broken. It perpetuates this behavior and drug abuse.
    My brother suffered from a lot of mental health issues that were enabled by an Hispanic household that favored men. He could do no wrong and everything he did was awarded (good or bad). Either to shut him up or keep him happy so he wouldn’t act out. As he got older, he was harder to control as a 6 foot 300lb TEENAGER. This is where it turned violent. The enabling and the lack of mental health assistance turned into frequent stints of baker act holds. 3 days in a mental facility is all is needed for the anger to subside and turn to manipulative behavior to get out of holding. Then as it goes, they turn to drugs and alcohol to self medicate.
    I feel for all these people. Imagine what a loving home and mental health assistant could do.

    • @bluedragonfly8139
      @bluedragonfly8139 11 месяцев назад +13

      IDK, seems to me like she's more an example of someone who's at least a co-abuser who got caught. Notice how when she's asked 'did he hit you' she doesn't actually answer? Just says 'Well, I defended myself' followed by a rambling excuse as to why *he's* bleeding, but she doesn't have a mark on her.
      By your logic, she should be thrown in jail and never let out.
      Also? That 'never hit a girl' b.s. completely ignores female abusers. Maybe rethink that.

    • @LauraS1
      @LauraS1 11 месяцев назад +9

      Women aren't as fragile as you might think. If one hits you for whatever reason, you are perfectly correct to defend yourself, even if that means you strike her back. It's a nice touch of chivalry to say "never hit a woman" but if they're hitting YOU and abusing YOU, by all means, fight back. I don't hit my husband but if I did, I fully expect him to hit me back and vice versa. He knows he'll have to drop me from the outset or I will come for his blood. LOL Fortunately, neither of us are terribly violent people.
