This one time back when I was a deputy there was a drunk lady that came in on my shift that loved everyone and everything. The alcohol made her ADHD way worse and made way to honest. A female deputy asked if there was anything on her or in her. The drunk lady responded, "yes ma'am I have a pocket knife in my back pocket, semen in my p****, pee in my badder, meth in my shoe, nipple rings, a McDonald's combo #1, and a needle in my bra. I have a probation meeting in the morning, a warrant, and I ran from a city cop earlier and got away. She giggled the whole way to her cell.

I was chief psychologist of a state prison system. They'd call me in at 3 am on crisis intervention cases. I'd go to various prisons with a nurse and 4-5 correction officers. We'd go to the male or female inmate's cell, officers would handcuff, and put leg irons on the inmate who would be freaking out, in the midst of a psychotic breakdown or crashing off drugs and alcohol. I'd order the nurse to give shots of psych meds, we'd escort them to the infirmary, I'd check on them the next day. Fun, right?

Mankind has given LOVE a meaning it NEVER HAD.
The way many see love, as sex and kisses and hugs, lust, fornication, abusing one another, homosexuality.
      LOVE NEVER WAS THAT!
LOVE IS LAYING DOWN YOUR LIFE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES AND GIVING OUT RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Many are after false love, IT IS TRAGIC.
      This world, CARES NOT!
Take a listen what kind of stories people truly tell:
      - INSANELY EVIL
      - HORRIFIC
Souls, who give “wonderful stories” are often:
      - in fear
      - deceived
      - drugged up

      LOVE
      LIFE

Exactly why judges need to put them in Alcoholics Anonymous or if it’s drugs send them to narcotics Anonymous.

The psychiatrist tells the inmate "you don't need your medicine right now" after the man just got done telling him he did not have his daily dose. The Dr. asks him why and anybody could guess the answer - "I got arrested". If anything he needs it ASAP and they could be dealing with a completely different person once he gets it. Especially if it is synthroid which is a medication for underproduction of thyroid hormone and without it people can go into a rage. I have seen the difference first hand with my ex-boyfriend. Regardless of what the medicine is that he needs he will be off until he gets it and for a Dr. to say you don't need it right now after spending five mins with a person is ridiculous.

I think the key phrase is "right now". Also, without a prescription, nurses can't just hand out meds (it was a nurse who was talking to him). I got the impression the guy was trying to order staff around. Some folks have trouble with the concept of not being in control of a situation.
Meds can make a big difference, but nurses have to stay within their scope of practice. Doctors are not generally the ones doing the initial intake. The nurse seemed familiar with the med the guy said he was on and what it is generally used for.
I've never heard of folks with low thyroid function going into rages due to the low level of thyroid hormones. I have a low/no functioning thyroid gland. Without the med, one just feels sluggish and tired. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but I've never heard of that.

Until they talk with his Doctor, they cannot give him the med's he "says" he needs.. They have to do it through a Doctor ( his Doctor ) to be sure he is as 'Mental " as he says he is.. If so I am sure the Med's would be given to him.. They can not go giving out medication on the say-so of the arrested person...

If I heard right, he needed high blood pressure medication and a clonopin. The nurse checked his BP after that and the clonopin was for anxiety. However the latter is a controlled substance. He could just be saying that in order to get something.
As everyone else stated, the nurses can’t just hand medication. I’m sure like a clinic/ER, you get evaluated by the nurse, then a doctor or advanced practitioner evaluates and then you get the medication.

Synthroid isn't a blood pressure medication. If he's so uptight about his blood pressure, why is he stinking drunk?
