IKR 😂 one would think and as much as you pay & being a decades old guitarist you would think they would at least give 4 or 5 options at the most. I mean technically black & white are not even colors😂 so at least 3 real colors would be great without the extra charge they would provide because it’s Gibson 🙄
While right handed guitar players complain about colors, us left-handed guitar players complain about not having Guitars at all You have no idea how bad I want, for example, a Fender Mustang. Good luck.
I hate the toggle switch position on the classic pickguard explorers. It's like: "Hello?! The rest of the controls are right here! Why is the switch way over there?"
Michael Schenker is using Gibson Flying Vs again because of Gibsons copyright infringement lawsuit against Dean guitars. So hoping Gibson will come out with a Michael Schenker signature Flying V. Also Mathias Jabs and Rudolph Schenker both had a limited run of Flying Vs and Explorers by Gibson in the 80s, this was before signature guitars were a thing. Im hoping they both get their respective signature lines again. Also the body on Mathias's Explorer is 9/10ths the size of a regular Explorer which I think looks better than the normal Explorer body size.
@@Scott__C He signed a signature deal with Dean when he got divorced and was flat broke. Now that he is no longer getting money from his Dean signature guitars he really has no reason to keep using them. I always thought the reverse V of the headstock looked stupid on a V body shape.
If Dagan was selling poop popsicles with crap topping for a million dollars and I had a million dollars I would probably buy one. He is without a doubt the most engaging, entertaining, and informative gear reviews on the entire internet. And damn can that boy play! Absolutely love the videos!
I think my Kramer Pacer was about the same.. but although that's a great guitar still today..it's no where near the E2. and I'm guessing the E2 would fetch more these days.. can't ever see me selling either tho. 🤘🍻
Everyone still cannot understand why did Gibson purposely not do the exact shape, toggle and knob configuration of a real 1984 Explorer? It Hass to be to preserve the value of those vintage explorers. They could’ve made a fortune if they made these. Correct and even maybe did a custom shot Murphy lab version.
You don't put a Floyd Rose on an 80's Gibson. You put a Kahler on it. 80's Flying V players? K.K. Downing, Rudolph Schenker, Michael Schenker, Wolf Hoffman, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Randy Rhoads. I think I remember seeing Billy Gibbons playing them, too.
After playing a 1970s reissue Flying V yesterday, I want one! So good! That and probably a Fractal Axe FX III amp modeler to make recording to a DAW far easier. Love tube amps but so many issues dealing with replacement of tubes.
Honestly the 80’s were not the best for music at least not for me.. Extreme Hairspray & squeals 🙄but there is a handful of good bands but about it though at least using those guitars. Mid 60’s & 70’s are still the best to me. 🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
I got a 1980 Gibson Flying V~2 during 1983 still second owner 41 years later, modified with EMG pickups single coil up front that appears as a humbucker and a double coil PAF on bridge with a coil tap switch and a custom pick guard, ebony fretboard and a Johnny Coffin case to keep her safe all these years
I still prefer my Dirty Fingers pickups. Did they ever put a Floyd on these guitars and, if not, why??? It would’ve made them the perfect rock guitars.
To be fair £2k is not that bad a price. Cant justify it personally it would be an Epiphone explorer for me just for the amount I play metal but very cool and given ive just bought a Gibson LP standard if no sorry scratch if, when I buy another premium brand I am after a PRS
In other news, I desperately need Dagan to demo that St. Vincent Goldie on the wall! I love this style of V with passive pickups (while preferring a pickguard for looks). Gibson prices keep me away, though. Schecter makes a great one, but for some reason have only offered it in transparent purple for a long time now.
Nice, but they need a floyd rose. Why have a heavy metal guitar with no whammy ? Lol. All in all nice guitars, still need to be a thousand dollars cheaper though. Thanks brother for the video.
They stripped down the spec but forgot to strip down the price.
They didn't even bother with getting the shape and control layout right
Lol This guy's energy always brightens my day. Great new gear, thanks!
Getting real sick of having only black or white as color choices on Explorers. At least Gibson figured out some people hate pickguards on Explorers.

Pickguard is looking nicely on explorer and flying v

@@capturelightmediaDo right handed guitars look repulsive to you like left handed ones look to right handed players?

I just came to watch Dagan play some guitar, kick ass!
Still waiting for Epiphone to rerelease the white 84’ explorer with EMG’s

Doesn't make sense about Michael Schenker. Nothing would stop him from using guitars he already owns.

I am a big fan of the explorer guitars I own a couple already but love the 80's models would love to have one in my guitar collection for sure!
The greatest comeback, ahead of their time instruments. Albert King. The Edge. James Hetfield.

Lol.... You even make an explorer look half size JEEZ. I feel tiny everytime I watch your videos, lmao.
Its time you tell us which are your top 3 favourite guitars for 2023 after trying so many
2k 🥺...makes the 600£ I paid for my E2 explorer in the early 80's an absolute bargain.. 🙏
Not really. £600 in 1983 would be almost £2,500 in today's money!
I think my Kramer Pacer was about the same.. but although that's a great guitar still today..it's no where near the E2. and I'm guessing the E2 would fetch more these days.. can't ever see me selling either tho. 🤘🍻
STRINGY MCSTRING FACE!!!!!

Was not expecting to hear Creed on a 80s guitar vid. Great video as usual!
That V is nearly 3 times the price of the original 80’s model without the Dirty Fingers pickups. 😢
yeah and I'm a lefty player . having a rough time finding a decent guitar .
The “guess it song” is Higher by Creed. Cool guitars, great sound and I’ll have the Explorer thanks.
Dude plays some creeds Arms wide open epic !
Stripped down and still same price as the 70s models. Yeesh
I LOVE full white J. H. Explorer and the Flying V
Fantastic 🎶💥
Hetfield is Mr Explorer.

Well shit... Just bought a sg tribute 😢. Would have spent more for that explorer. Bumma

The song at the end is My Sacrifice by Creed. Nive guitars! I like the Explorer in particular.
I still prefer my Dirty Fingers pickups. Did they ever put a Floyd on these guitars and, if not, why??? It would’ve made them the perfect rock guitars.

Great review and great guitars indeed! ... but... but... but at THAT Price !! .... Ouch.
my favorite Flying v is probably. the jackson king V

2 grand
Is that the cost? Wow.
...I was thinking £799 would be a reasonable starting price.
Loved the V it's enough to turn a fella away from bass 😂😂😂 great shredding as always.
Aftermath from Strapping Young Lad at 14:03
who puts the V controls like that? They used to place them elegantly.
Play The Scorpions...
My Sacrifice-Creed \../
The explorer fits you well Sir !!!
Crazy money
1.8k no thanks I sold my 70s Flying V for 1k used😅 cs that is the value so yh im good and certainly not paying near the same for a Chinese Epiphone😅😅
I never thought I'd need to say this but: Poison >>> Creed 🤣
question . I have a 1992 fender squire strat that's left handed and in mint condition. all original hardware. what would it be worth ?
Few grand for a guitar with dot inlays LOL
Nice, but they need a floyd rose. Why have a heavy metal guitar with no whammy ? Lol. All in all nice guitars, still need to be a thousand dollars cheaper though. Thanks brother for the video.
James hetfield and the guitarist from Overkill never needed a floyd on their explorers. Sounded fine to me
