      @@goldpony Does the steering feel too loose in ECO? I've seen people describe the Q60 overall as having numb steering, pretty much in all modes. I'm trying to decide whether to get one, I like everything about it but if that pedal travel and steering has too much give then my OCD is definitely gonna kick in and I don't know if I'll be able to live with this car lol

    Great review bro!
    I currently drive a G37 coupe, since you seem to know a thing or two about G's,
    would you say there is a power difference between the G37 and the Q50- 300HP?
    I know there is a 30 HP difference but since the new engines are Turbo charged, would you say go with the 300HP or there is no difference in power?

    • @goldpony
      @goldpony  7 лет назад +1

      Humm.... I don't want to tell you the wrong thing... but what I can tell you is that my old G35 would not have a chance against this new Q60. There was no turbo lag in the Q and of course the AWD I had in this one probably helped as well but for this thing not even being the Red Sport... This Q60 had some serious power!

Cause the mark Levinson system I have tested in Lexus cars is only rivalled by the stuff I have heard in top Mercedes-Benz models

    Nice review. Very powerful engine with this 3.0T model. Yet, nobody reviews the 2.0T. It seems everyone (Including Infiniti) really pushes the 3.0T, and barely acknowledges the existence of the 2.0T. Yes, its a 92 hp difference, but only 37 lb/ft torque difference. Based on the price difference, I think the 2.0 is at least worth a test drive. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a very attractive looking carbut I do still get a little of a Nissan altima coupe vibe. Stay gold Pony Boy !

      The 3.7 liter V6 also had 270lbs TQ, this one has 300. The power delivery is more linear and torque comes at low RPMS where the previous engine the power wouldn't hit till the engine was winded to the top. Also as others have said they're underrated, they're following bmw's lead by understating the power.

      it's none of my business, but I'd reconsider getting into this much power for a first car, definitely will set the wrong first expectations going forward in the future and also you can lose control very quickly and put yourself in danger. There's nothing wrong with a young person getting a nice car, but there's so much to learn about driving before getting under that much power and potentially endangering your life and someone else's.

    I'm renting one of these right now. Overall I like it but for everyday transportation it's not for me. Even in standard mode this thing rides like a hay wagon and tires are very noisy. Sport mode on the highway is not doable without a kidney belt. I like the interior although it is tight. It has respectable power but requires revs to get there. The Bose system sucks balls compared to comparable systems by JBL, Revel, etc....not impressed. Last week I drove an 2018 Impala premium from Florida (another rental car). More power / torque, better sound system and overall much more comfortable to drive yet sporty. I would much prefer the Impala in every aspect except handling but I don't need to slalom my daily driver.

      I bought my G35 in 2003 and I love it. It has 260 hp (2003!), and it was a fun fast, excellent handling, hit the gas and you go! But rack and pinion is going out, so I tried out the G60: the seat was too tight, even after adjusting (34" waist), it's a heavy car and doesn't perform as well as my G, I hate the assisted steering, and you feel every pebble on the road, plus there is a moment that goes by from the time you hit the accelerator, and when it takes off - So I'm (reluctantly) going to check out a 2017 Audi A4 - it's supposed to have better performance, more comfortable and better gas mileage. If anyone owns one of those, please reply and tell me what you think of it. thx

    BE CAREFUL IF THIS HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION. It is over $4000 to fix it, and they are known to have problems soon after the warranty expires. Look it up! The info is out there. This is not an isolated problem. Mine gave no warning. shifted fine since 2011 and in 2016 - it just died. towed off to the dealer and waited for a new trans. aprox 85k freeway miles, and it just died. typical from what I read. I also had a 1986 Maxima that lost the transmission in less than 10K ! But because Nissan replaced that one under warranty, we purchased another one in 2011. We thought Nissan as a consumer concerned company, so we trusted them.. We were about 15,000 over warranty, and Nissan turned their back on us, even though we were still within the time of warranty (7 years) but past the mileage (70,000 miles). Needless to say, we will not be purchasing a Nissan product ever again. I owned an Inifinit. I sold it before it lost it's Nissan transmission. Sadly, I will not ever purchase an Infiniti either. They were a very good company, in the past. Too bad.

    man, for a loaded one (red sport) at 64K - 66K you might as well just get a better interior, better quality, far better performing RCF or ATS V.

      justin bouche Ats I agree with but the RCF is way too heavy to be considered more highly.

      incorrect, according to Infiniti's sales data more than 60% of these will leave the show room floor fully optioned, much like pick up trucks where close to 70% of people option pick up trucks all the way.
