Serious question: have you encountered the “melting dash” by chance?? My 2008 Altima coupe had this condition, and apparently some of the G37 models did as well. Evidently, Nissan used a rubber compound that was not suitable to high temperature environments, and so the dash on some cars that had this rubber compound developed a shiny appearance, as if wet, but when touched, sticky, and I even accidentally pulled chunks of the dash out with my fingernails. It was nuts, I had never experienced anything like this before until then. I wound up just ordering a dash cover from Amazon so I didn’t have all this glare from it driving down the road. This is one of the few things that has kept me from buying a used G37 Coupe. I know they’re fantastic performance GT cars, but after going through that fiasco, I never want to go through it again
Just purchased a 2012 G37 hardtop convertible and it’s a fantastic machine! I have owned 12 BMW vehicles and this car rivals my E46 M3. I slept on this car but now will spread the word on its glory. Thank You for sharing. Free Agent From Washington DC
M3 wins the interior and build quality slightly. M3 also is performance monster so another check mark. Price and reliability are won by the G37. 2 different vehicles but both good buys.
Just found a '13 G37x coupe in what I can only say is nearly new, even with 88K miles. All service done at the dealer, never wrecked, always local, it was a lease then purchase with the original owner. Just shocking that it's just under $15K and has both remotes and the original emergency key as well as books. These cars are around and just so cheap for what they are, and originally seemed to be mostly dealer serviced and well cared for. If you find a good one, try not to pass it up. This one was literally just posted the day before I put a deposit on it, the dealer hadn't even had time to presale service and inspect, so I'm waiting for that to be done. I'm excited to get my hands on it.
I just purchase a g37s 2013 with just a bit over 100k miles for 11k and I'm changing everything new to it , from lower and upper control arms to breaks, oil change and everything that needs to be change and making this my daily for work
If going aftermarket, avoid the SPC upper control arms. They creaked a bit on my G37 and it was very confusing for techs to adjust alignments with them. One place lied saying the G was aligned, it wasn’t and cost me money in prematurely worn tires.
Just bought a 2014 q60s 6mt with 100k miles on it, has carbon trunk bc coils and single exit tomei straight pipe. Im the second owner and the car is an absolute gem even at exactly 100k miles. Mind you I daily drive the car as well. Definitely doing full thorough maintenance though just for peace of mind lol, can never be too sure.
The G37/Q60 will definitely become a hidden gem of Japanese automotive history. Maybe in a few more years it'll get the love it deserves. I still love my '13 XS and I plan on keeping it as long as I can
Hydraulic steering is my favorite. Electronic steering feels to light and makes me not feel the road as well. Also even though it’s awd and rwd it’ll drift which is pretty fun
I have a 2010 RWD since new with 56K miles which is driven only in dry summers. Haven't thought of a replacement except for out of reach examples. 14.5"/14" vented rotors, 4/2 piston brakes, dual cold air intake with dual throttle body and dual exhaust.
My G37xS sedan has over 110k miles on it. Still drives like new car. Sure I replaced wheel bearings and the y pipe cus Boston’s roads are full of potholes and road salt here is no joke. It is otherwise a very reliable car.
I own a g35 2004 with brembo package my car has never been wreck and nothing has been remove it does need a new paint job though..it's pretty much stock. 167k miles
Please excuse me if this is a dumb question but can you switch from awd to rwd in this and the g37 or is there no button for that. Really looking into buying a q60 or g37 and I live in an area with snowy winters so I would love to know, thanks!
Love the G37/Q60, but WHY do all reporters/media focus on an analog clock? WTF does the clock have to do with seats, brakes, drive-train, etc. Need more cup-holders......that is the focus of G/Q.....lol
There is a 2014 Infiniti Q 60 journey coupe in my area that I’m taking a look at tomorrow with only 60,000 original miles and he’s asking only 9K should I grab it?
I have a cd player?! Thats been there the whole time?! This is the paddle shifters situation all over again. I should really pay more attention when i buy cars. That laugh during the acceleration is not acting. Its an automatic human response to this car thats impossible to stop and comes standard in every Q60.
I bought my G37 in 2009, new, and love it. Haven't had a single problem with it. I have over 140,000 miles and it still drives like new.
I'm with you Frank! Got my g37 09 few months ago with around the same miles and oh boy... I live this car
Good to know. I'm sure I won't have any issues with my Q60 limited.
Not even the gallery gasket, oil burning, leaking Heater hose, hard downshifting transmission or Bad CMC?

I am looking into buying the hard top
Can you please compare the experience coming from an E46 M3 versus the G37? Interior, build quality, performance, price reliability
M3 wins the interior and build quality slightly. M3 also is performance monster so another check mark. Price and reliability are won by the G37. 2 different vehicles but both good buys.
I just purchased the 2015 hardtop convertible and love it - I too also drive BMWs; X6 and the G37 is fantastic, but it’s no BMW 😊

Man this car is so beautiful, I hope I can own a G37x someday
Really well done video man, extremely informative and helpful. Thank you!
They’re pretty cheap, an older one can be had for 5K if you stay vigilant.
It's always nice to see an unaltered version of this vehicle. It's almost as clean as mine.
That is a gorgeous car. AWD S Coupe that clean is a dream find.

upgrade the sway bars. Changes the way the car handles
