You can also get a 2015 q60s for less than $25k because this car plummeted in value. What's your point? At the end of the day as long as you don't buy one new you're solid
Q60 has a classic look that is aging well. Nice review. The newer Q60 and Q50 look great but somehow miss the mark in driving feel. They are softer, quieter, and steering feel is dead when compared to the old hydrolic steering systems. The G37 and early Q60’s are bullet proof and just run. My 2013 G37 gets regular maintenance and has had 0 repairs. That being said, Infiniti is addressing the steering feel and the cabin tech is a step up. The Red Sport also brings back some of that fun to drive, just don’t bring up the steer by wire system, it needs more work.
+Eric Coleman Get a separate set of nice aftermarket wheels and run summer performance treads on them. Wrap your stock wheels with winter treads and keep them in the garage or closet until needed. Best performance possible year round.
I agree man tell that to the kids that drive this car now. They add mods that make the car look horrid and most have been wrecked. You rarely see ones that are stock now a days
330 HP. In a feeakin six. Am i the only one completely floored by that?! This thing feels like driving a spaceship. The kid in me literally giggles when i take off. I just love my car.
Your review was very good. You have great vocabulary and diction, although I feel you gave the Q60 higher praise than it deserves in its price point. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more reviews from you.
Meh. I have a 2010 G37x and the dash, nav layout, adjustable steering wheel is all the same. This is really old school, but sort of a rip off. Plus mine gets better gas mileage. If I am going to lay out the money for a 2015 I want it look like a 2015. Not the same kind of car that was made six years ago.
Karly O'Hare I know what you mean about it feeling outdated. I turned in a '12 coupe lease around May and I just couldn't bring myself to renew a lease for a Q60 coupe. It's a good car, but I feel like with them trying to go upmarket, Infiniti actually needs to make changes to warrant that. The engine feels a bit sluggish from a stop compared to less powerful Audis/Mercedes/BMWs, the interior is subpar, and the mpg is still a bit on the thirsty side. I asked the sales person at lease turn in when the new Q60 revamp will be and she told me around fall/winter. Hopefully all the rumored updates pan out and one day I'll get back into a Q60.
Kaushal Amin I just bought a 2015 with 19k miles, graphite smoke paint with black wheels...so sexy and I only paid 24k. It sounds great, drives great and looks great.
the 2017 Q60 looks phenomenal however, it's gonna be pricey. If you need to be in an Infiniti coupe right now, get a certified preowned model from 2012. You can find one easily for around $25k. Sure, it might look outdated, but at least you'll save money and insurance premiums for your trouble
@@MultiKdizzle Yes. It is aluminum but not brushed aluminum. It should be but it is not. Mine is aluminum painted to looked brushed. Put a fiber wrap over it. Problem solved.
I have a 2014 Q60S and yea, it is pretty much a G37.. So what, the G37 is a great car just like the G35. I have driven more modern tubo chaged coupes and to be frank, I'll keep my Q60S. It drives very close to my '04 350Z but has some extra room and a back seat. The interior is also quieter with less rattles then the Z which I like. I guessit is not for everyone, but I like this car. Even when I got my old 2004 350Z I was taken with the G35. It was one of the few coupes that I liked. The 7 speed auto box is not as much to my liking as the six speed manual in the Z, though. You can get these with a manual, but they are hard to find in that configuration where I live in Florida.
Well, I actually traded the black Q60S for a white one with a 6 speed. That's the ticket!!!!! Odd story how the black auto ended up being traded so quickly, but I am much happier with a manual.
I have a 2012 G37x with only 50,000 miles and everything thing is near mint condition. I would consider a 2015 Q60 in about fours years or so, provided I could find one in as good of shape as my G37. The G will only be broken by then so who knows.
jack siscavage no, it’s actual brushed aluminum. My bmw 3 series and Audi A4 had the faux aluminum and it’s not even close... my q60 actually has tiny little dents in the driver side door aluminum panel from my ring... plastic doesn’t ding lol
@@stephengraziano1872 Yes, you are correct. It is aluminum and it is painted to look aluminum! The door strip on the g37 got the paint all scratched up. I took the door apart to remove it. No, it did not just pop off. Attached with 14 screws! I sanded it then covered it with carbon fiber tape and put it back together. Looks real nice. Passenger side is next.
Mine is a Coupe and the body style is classic. From 2016 forward they don’t look nearly as good.
"For $50,000 this is such a great bargain"

How reliable are the used G37's? Are maintenance costs expensive?
@@ktownkanak808 not really, I’ve owned a 2010 G37x sedan and a 2012 IPL coupe, both cars have been pretty cheap maintenance wise
Still no problems

how does it drive in snow as far as handling?

great review!! I have a much older 2006 g35 coupe and man I would love to have this.

This comment is 8 years old I realize but I freaking love the 'outdated' look. I say this car ages like fine jet fuel wine.
I like the paint color
if you put the transmission in sport mode it feels like a V8 rocket ship. I have its fast as crap.
