- A quick little soap review for my honey and oat hot process soap recipe that I made and shared on the channel back in 2019. This is a wonderful bar of soap with a beautifully balanced oil blend with a touch of raw, unfiltered beeswax I bought from a local farmer's market.
I filmed this video earlier this year when the soap was right on two years old! (You don't need to keep your soap this long, I have just been saving some to do follow up videos).
Here is the original video with full recipe in the description box if you'd like to see my process or give it a try yourself • Honey and Oat Hot Proc...

Thanks to you Elly , it's because of you that I could muster up the courage to embark on my soap making journey .
Ah that's so wonderful, I'm very pleased to hear I could help you to get started.
I agree that it’s such a good feeling to make and wash our hands with our homemade bars of soap. I too love my oatmeal, milk and honey bar. TFS Willa in Kansas, USA 🇺🇸
Thanks for your comment, that's really nice to hear.
I made this and it was awesome! Thank you for all the tutorials ❤️
Today I washed my hands with a salt bar I made and I thought the very same thing. It was a gorgeous feeling washing my hands in a soap I had made myself. It never ceases to amaze me. And thanks to you so many of us are inspired to give it a go and have that pleasure ourselves. Xx
So wonderful, thanks for commenting.
Amazing! Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
Totally agree. Nothing like using your own soap with good ingredients.
Oh I need to try that 😍
Looks great Elly - Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks :)
This soap looks really cool! 😍
Thanks, it sure is! (was, hehe)
Your soap looks great!
nice
Hi Elly, a notification came up so I jumped on. Wide awake 😁 here in Melbourne 🌺nice review, hope you're well x
Hi Katherine, oh gosh I was up in the wee hours last night too! Must be something in the air. Thank you, yes all is ok here. Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Nice 🧡 just like all your videos dearest Elly 🌸💗
Elly, may I know how did you incorporate your 2% of beeswax into the soap? I mean, was it in your base oil, or you added it after cook? If it's in your oil recipe, did you include it into soap calc for lye amount? Thank you in advance🙇🙇🙇🙏🙏🙏
Hi May, yes it's saponifiable so it's calculated into the recipe as you would do with any other oil. I just melt the wax in with the other oils as the original video shows :)
@@EllysEverydaySoapMaking I see! Thank you very much, Elly🙏🙏🙏😁😁😁
Hi Elly, I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I'm really happy to see your videos. The way you make soaps really good. Is there any way for me to buy your soaps?
Thank you Indira, I appreciate that very much! I don't sell my soaps anymore, I am most interested in teaching and sharing soap making for others to learn :)
Can you please teach how to make liquid body wash and anti dandruff shampoo?
This is a nice all rounder liquid soap I make ruclips.net/video/_WPIMsLk1P8/видео.html I'm not sure about the shampoo. I only make soap :)
does colour overlaps all the process of soap making? it happens when I do it. suggest your views please.
No they shouldn't overlap, but it does depend on the soap, the colours and the techniques you're using.
@@EllysEverydaySoapMaking I think you are right mam thankyou very much 🥰
Nice super 👍
I'm wondering if you sell your soaps? I would love to buy some of this Honey and Oat soap if you do.
Thanks, but no. I just make them for videos and personal use, friends and family.
@@EllysEverydaySoapMaking I guess I'll have to learn soap making then.
Aww I wish the video would have been longer. Thanks!!!! Bye!
I would recommend you look into no sulfates fast hair growth shampoo.
Elly you should consider selling your soaps 🤗
Thanks Kasie, I don't really have the space or time for it unfortunately. I used to sell them but I really just enjoy making the small batches for youtube and for friends/family these days. It's very enjoyable for me that way :)
