- Опубликовано: 25 авг 2021
- Hello coffee lovers and soap makers! This cold process coffee soap recipe is one of the most luxurious and lathery soaps I've ever made! Not to mention the gorgeous coffee colour, the fragrance, and the fantastic combination of oils and butters in the soap.
In this video I give a full, detailed tutorial of the entire process I use to make my cold process coffee soap using freshly brewed coffee. I also give an alternative method for adding coffee to your soap using instant coffee. Make sure you watch to the end to see the lather test!

I love your videos; you use plain english, don’t play music over you’re explanations (many people do and it makes hearing the words difficult), you seem like someone who honestly just wants to share their knowledge, you’re easy to follow no matter what skill level someone has who is watching, and you are a kind and sincere happy person.
Thank you so much, that's wonderful feedback.
I love that she doesn't play music. That is so distracting and weird when you are trying to teach.
I took a break from soapmaking for a couple years. It's so addicting!! I made enough soap for 3 years, and we're a family of 5! I miss it though. I'm planning on returning, but your videos were my "go to" videos for soapmaking. I've tried cold and hot process, and I loved them both. Something about using natural, fresh ingredients and also the satisfaction of making it yourself keeps me coming back. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. 🙏
Definitely trying this. Looks gorgeous 😍
Your breads and soaps inspire me elly!!!!! I made a version of this soap today! Im so happy with it!
will definitely try this recipe! thank you so much for sharing!
I can't wait to try this. Thank you.
I enjoy watching you make a coffee soap. Very well done!
I really like how you show us the whole process and include your thoughts and reasonings when you deviate from the usual protocol. I especially like that you show us the gelling, cutting, and lather! Thanks so much! The scientist in me is satiated by your soap making. :)
Thank you so much! I appreciate that a lot.
I would like your recipe to measure by oz not % I likes how u are so patience
Põe o nome dos ingredientes,com tradição para o português,quero fazer a receita,sou de Porto Velho Rondônia Brasil🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
Can I use olive oil and extra virgin olive interchangeable
@@angelinagarcia112 The % is actually really very helpful. If Elly were to use exact weight measurements then you might end up with more or less soap than you were hoping for. With using %, you can tailor the weight measurements for the amount of soap that you want. For example if a recipe called for 50% Olive oil, Elly might need 100 ounces for her mold, you may need 32 ounces for your mold and I may need 5 ounces for my mold. We are all using the same exact recipe but the amounts of each ingredient that we need are all different.
Wow!! Lovely soap, great lather!! Thank you for sharing

Thank you very much Sarita, that's so lovely of you to say. I'm very pleased you enjoyed the video :)
I had been looking all over youtube for a coffee soap and yours is the best!!
Oh thank you! I ADORE this recipe.
for the coffee recipie, it calls for 150 g shea butter and 75 g cocoa butter, can I use 225 coffee butter? I only have coffee butter right now and I thought it would be perfect but I do not want to mess up the recipie, I will buy shea if I have to but wanted to ask about combining the weight of 2 butters into 1 butter?
Yes, I will use your recipe thank you.
Thank you.
Love coffee and love soap so this will be my next batch. Currently traveling and won’t be able to make it until later in September..thanks, Elly❣️

@@EllysEverydaySoapMaking hi Elly...I made similar coffee soap with brewed coffee...but couldn't get this dark colour. It is very very light like milk coffee. My lye is at 37%. Apart from this it has normal oils coconut castor olive Shea butter... kindly suggest how can I bring same dark coffee coloured sops...thanks Elly
Thanks Elly. That was great! I especially liked the way you didn't panic when the soap cracked and just went with the flow.
Thanks Alice, yeah, I was a bit unsure what to do but was curious about it so just went with it :)
Thanks Elly. Your a fantastic teacher. I’m new with soap making, just made my 3rd batch today …Will definitely try this one out. Xxoo
Thanks Kelly, that's wonderful. Have fun with it!
I have a question for you Elly. Some recipes ask for distilled water. Is it OK to use normal tap water instead . Thanks.
I've never used distilled water. Tap water is ok as long as it is not too hard. I most often use filtered tap water, or rain water from my tank, or sea water. I don't think you need to buy special water for soap making necessarily :)
@@EllysEverydaySoapMaking thank you
This is a very lovely soap thank you so much for all your effort 💛💛💛💛
