    Glad I found this I was quoted a $1000 repair. When I saw how much the links were (basically nothing) I looked and found this video. Thank you.

    This was very helpful and because of this video I was able to successfully do this job. One thing I liked about it is that, unlike a lot of "how to" videos, you actually talked us through the procedure, rather than some annoying videos that play music in the background while fast-forwarding the action. THis was GREAT explanation, camera work and procedure. Thanks for putting this out

    Great video! Thank you for suggesting to release the nut on the other side stabilizer link as well so that the sway arm can be raised up and into place. That was a big help and a tip that was left out on the previous three videos that I watched. 👎 Which is THE reason I was looking these videos up to begin with. Thank you so much. 🫡

    I had to do this job today kinda last minute and unplanned. Like a meathead, I got stuck tryin to just do one side at a time. Scratchin my head, I thought, "Lemme check boobtube". I can't stress enough how pumped I was when I found this video. TRQ is one of the "fix it" channels I know I can trust to get a job done right. Thank y'all so much.

    Thanks for the help & the parts (good price) I did both sides at the same time. Actually better doing it that way because I didn't have the strength to lift the sway bar with a short crow bar to pull the bad link until the top nut was removed from the other side link. I kept the wheels on and used jack stands both sides. I cleaned the threads and sprayed with penetrating oil the day before so bolt removals was very easy. I also used the 8mm socket running that "in" (clockwise) on the lower swing arm with the 18mm nut making removal easy. I think I had both side done in less than 40 minutes thanks to this video. I'm not a mechanic but I watch a lot of RUclips....

    I have a question. I torqued the top and bottom to exactly what you said and the bushing on the top is not tight meaning I can spin the bushing. Do I need to tighten until it’s not moving or are those joints supposed to move a little

  • @LoneWolf-gs9wr

    Hey it don't matter if you tighten bottom first due to haveing to jack it up for clearance for impact an socket is it ok or no

    What would cause these bushings to completely disingeate and be worn totally off? About to replace mine now because I noticed them gone. But wondering if something else contributed to it that I should change. Could it be the worn shocks?

      So, a year later....brand new ones, bushings are cracked again, and pins are loose. Only noticed because I was down there changing my oil. .... How do you tell if your shocks are worn or not doing their job and putting too much strain on these guys?

    What's up with the bottom nut? That's going to sit on the control arm. You're going to have metal to metal rubbing, and this will cause premature failure.

  • @tylerjames1716
    @tylerjames1716 3 года назад +1

    These links ALWAYS break right when you're about to get the nut off. Only reason I'm replacing mine to be honest. Went to unbolt it to replace the strut and it snapped right off lol

    Both tops are in place an need to take off jack so it lowers down on them to have thread to tighten so I figure I'll just snug up bottoms first then take of jack so if it's a no no no let me no ok

  • @dakk9237

    really no need to cut boot and use vise grips. that stud usually has a 8mm hex end. simply hold nut with boxend and airwrench the 8mm opposite the nut will usually walk out. (northern vehicles may require more effort, lol)

  • @MattBushRS
    @MattBushRS Год назад

    Okay but the oem part does not come with a new nut. So it’s not okay that yours broke. You should ad that to your video. If going oem, none of the oem suspension components come with a new nut, tie rod ball joint stab link etc…Kind of ironic beings ford recommends to replace the nut too lol makes a ton of sense
