I am from Japan and I just want to clarify the difference between lotion and milk. Japanese use lotion for adding moisture after washing face and seal the moisuture with milk (or cream) so usually japanese use lotion and milk as a set. You can use them separately but usually lotion is not intended to seal the moisture, so it will dry out quickly if you don't put on something heavier.

Hada Labo being a Japanese brand, the Japanese use the term “lotion” for toner. The Koreans use the term “skin” for toner. So this lotion is a toner, so I would agree that using a moisturising agent on top of that would be necessary
Ahmed Nayf I am very much into skincare. I watch a lot of videos, I read a lot, so over time I have gained more knowledge. If you’re here, you’re already taking the correct steps. The first one being education. I may know quite a bit, but I am also still learning 😀 It’s an ever evolving process.
Maribel Carranza oh no sorry. That does not sound like a positive reaction. Seems like your skin is telling you it didn’t like it. If it’s more of a red and stinging that goes away quite quickly, then normally it’s fine. But if it’s unbearable or the stinging sensation last some time, then you should remove it immediately. But if you say “itchy”, then hhhhmmm that doesn’t sound good. Rather be safe
I used them years and years before as the skin care set when I lived in Japan. You're right about put a heavy cream afterward because the toner itself dry up my skin especially during winter.
I live in Japan so can easily get Japanese skincare products. I've just purchased the lotion from your recommendation, looking forward to trying and hopefully see results!
For dry skin people, I'm stating this after using most of the hadalabo range. Both blue bottle won't be giving results for hyperpigmentation. I've slightly dark pigmentation around my mouth but hadalabo didn't remove those. And both blue bottle won't give you a good amount of moisture. Try the golden one, it consists of 5 different hyaluronic acid. It's so great for the skin. Also, golden one is better than white.
Yes, I’ve been using (wasting my time) the blue bottle hada labo and it’s done nothing for my hyperpigmentation. Better off using alpha arbutin by itself, had better results.
Your recommendations about hada labo changed my life. I live in Japan so I can purchase all the products in any drugstore. Good price, good effect and really easy (for me) to get them. I am currently using the hyaluronic acid lotion and I love it. Specially after shaving, it helps a lot on hydrating my skin and calming the irritation.

Hi Dr Dray! Funny story for you: I posted a mini review of a product I like on Instagram and said that I’m hesitant to repurchase because it contains fragrance (limonene). The brand replied and said their product doesn’t contain fragrance because limonene is naturally occurring in tea tree oil. I was like... okay... still a fragrance though? 😅 Thank you so much for the education, I’m much more of a savvy consumer now! ♥️
I found that Shirojyun (the blue one she discussed here) line doesn't do much on my skin. The brightening and hydrating effect are pretty mediocre. Whereas the Gokujyun Alpha (the red one, dedicated for anti-aging) is too moisturizing and pretty heavy even for my dry skin. I would recommend their basic line, which is Gokujyun (the white one, containing hyaluronic acid only as active ingredient) line as this gives enough hydration with light feeling, gives you supple and healthy skin. Overall, I love Hada Labo.
I went to Pakistan in 2016, I had an allergic reaction to some plant that flared up my skin and left scarring, let me tell you the medication there is strong and it majorly helped in clearing up the impact the allergic reaction had within a week. Question Dr.Dray: Hard water's effects on hair & skin with product solutions. We recently moved from having a well with spring water, to hard mineral water (near the ocean in Maine). Besides the terrible ordor of the water, even with a water filter my skin is getting a rash, and my hair is getting dull, heavy, and doesn't feel clean. It's only been 2 weeks with this water! I'm researching body & hair products formulated for hard, mineral water. Also, so going to purchase the product mentioned above. I confess to buying all of your recommendation and really liking them. Huge THANK YOU!
Hi, I have the same issue with hard water as it breaks me out on my face. I organised myself to only use slring water. I have been doing that for 4 years now and I have a former video that explain and shows that if you're interested.

I’m using hada labo cream cause I’m wanna make my skin more brightening however my skin not look brightening , I can’t see the difference but surprising is my dark scars is gonna !
This is a little too much for me. I don't want to "mess" with my skin this way. I just cleanse and moisturize, with HA, and I use SPF of course; but that is about it.
So this whitenkng cream isn't like those bleach ones? And it won't make your skin whiter if you use it all over your face? Will it just whiten the hyperpig areas

is hada labo premium whitening lotion safe for pregnant woman?
Question Dr.Dray: Hard water's effects on hair & skin with product solutions. We recently moved from having a well with spring water, to hard mineral water (near the ocean in Maine). Besides the terrible ordor of the water, even with a water filter my skin is getting a rash, and my hair is getting dull, heavy, and doesn't feel clean. It's only been 2 weeks with this water! I'm researching body & hair products formulated for hard, mineral water.
Also, so going to purchase the product mentioned above. I confess to buying all of your recommendation and really liking them. Huge THANK YOU!
GR CinqMars: Dr Dray has a video on hard water. To easily find it, type “dr dray hard water” in the RUclips search bar.
Hi, I have the same issue with hard water as it breaks me out on my face. I organised myself to only use slring water. I have been doing that for 4 years now and I have a former video that explain and shows that if you're interested.
@@HereDiianas I'm interested in the video. I am researching hair products formulated for use with hard water.
Happy Monday! I just received a part of my Yesstyle order after 7 weeks. Finally, I will be able to try Hada Labo Oil Cleansing to remove the makeup. I am still waiting for other products but I don't like the way they are delivered. I am missing products and if I go to see the tracking of my order, I don't know what is going on with my other products. I have to try this product Hada labo arbutin whitening lotion. I already have a long way to go to counter hyperpigmentation but I believe that this product would give a faster effect. Thanks for the video!
Happy Monday!
Hi Dr Dray. Do you think that the Hada labo skin care products are just as good when ordering them on Amazon as compared to Yesstyle? Thanks
Hi Dr Dray- I’m late to the game in following you- but so glad I found you! I recently moved to the Houston area! Would love to shop or brunch with you!?! I am excited to try these Hado Labo products I have already ordered them! Just wondering if there are any ingredients that should not be mixed with them? I just started using differin in my pm routine.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I just moved the Houston too and hope I see her too. I wish she would do a meet up.
Hi! The whitening cream is it suitable for oily skin?
Dr Dray ...your skin is glowing!!!
Would you recommend applying the lotion with a spray bottle and closed eyes? Plus, will this lighten my eyebrows. Should I apply this at night?
Can you use this in conjunction with Retin-A? If yes, do you apply it before or after Retin-A?
Yes I would like to know that to
Me too
Me too
Me too
And me!
Can you please do a video on calendula oil? So grateful for your videos

@@DrDrayzday please can one safely use alpha arbutin for skin lightening everyday throughout a lifetime?
Do we need to use the lotion intermittently as we would with hydroquinine?
A lot of the time these creams will only lighten certain parts of the body and make your skin look patchy.
Thanks Dr Dray , gonna try it out.
So this whitenkng cream isn't like those bleach ones? And it won't make your skin whiter if you use it all over your face? Will it just whiten the hyperpig areas
