A few weeks ago, when things appeared better, we stepped out for a brief outing. To remedy the fact that my boss had never ever tasted one of Bengaluru’s iconic masala dosae, the one served at an old Bengaluru landmark, CTR (Sri Sagar) in Malleswaram. Kripal actually taught me how to eat Dosa.. earlier I used to start with the outer circle of dosa.. now I dig right at the center, take ample amount of alugadde and dip it straight in chutney and then mmmmmmmmhhh... Wow!!!!

The fact that Sri hasnt tasted masala dosa at CTR despite being Mrs. Kripal, is a crime 🤣🤣🤣. Both you guys never fail to impress your fans. Just loved the episode. Agree with Kripal, the ambience of CTR takes us back to the Bangalore of 80s.🙂

After watching your shows, Kripal, my concept of how to actually eat a dosa/dose, to enjoy it at it's optimum, is undergoing a serious transformation. Once the lockdown in Delhi is lifted, I'll run to Sagar, order myself a butter masala dosa, push my fingers into the centre to scoop out the masala and take a moment to savour the bite. CTR is a very good hotel in the beautiful Malleswaram of Bengaluru.
I grew up in Malleswaram and CTR continues to be a masaldosey institution, hard to beat. Watching this, I’m placing an intercontinental ubereats order to Australia tonight 😄
Hi kripal, just a you said 25years back it used to rain every evening.... It took me instantly to 23years back when I moved to Bangalore... I used to walk from Audugudi to games village... And used to get Drenched every day....

You are right. It's mostly based on the location I grew up in South Bengaluru and had CTR dosa only when I started working in Sadashivanagar. I was 26 then, after that I was like what in the world was I doing all these years. There are some amazing dosas in Vidyarthi Bhavan, MTR, Brahmins cafe, and few more places in the south but this tops everything.
If I am not mistaken, Bramhin's cafe doesn't have masala dose...
You should also try Janatha hotel in 8th cross Malleshwaram (few meters away) and also Janardhan hotel on Shivananda circle, Racecourse road. I also like Dwaraka hotel's masala dose and benne kali dose...yumm it is.

Looks like a yummy dosa and I have to say, some people have all the luck. You eat tons of biryani yet you are thin and fit, you have a beautiful, calm and good-natured wife. I on the other hand eat biryani that I am forced to cook at home and I am fat and my wife is fat too. 😅
