My FIL is from Mysore so our family belongs all 3 states. We lived in US and UK for 13 yrs and moved back to India.Have tried so many cuisines, but Sangeetha in UK hounslow is so good , We used to travel 1hr to just relish their food. Being a vegetarian we love idli , dosa and vada all day.

Madras has changed since 1980s. Those days it was very difficult to get Northern Indian food but we fell in love with Tamilnadu Tiffin and Meals Saparam ..Now we have so many modern fashionable expensive restaurants. Those days simple tasteful meals were available at reasonable prices..Madras has become so crowded. Although been to TN 14 times seen whole of it but those days it was Pure Shudh Tamilnadu. No English Hindi in Coimbatore Puddukoti Tirunelveli Rajapaliyam Ogkanikkal Sign language for buying fruits Meals .Madurai is my favorite city It has Magnatic effect on me attracts .e Once in 2 years to do Darshan of Meenakshi Come all the way from Lucknow.. Amman Has been so kind to Tanjore distt . is one of the best regions of India like Mysore .Udipi. Shantiniketan Bengal Puri. Himachal Kumaon Indore..Kolhapur Belgaum..People are simple warm..affectionate if you touch and feel them...Warm wishes.

sangeetha is one of worst place to eat and savor the dish.
you don't get the taste that you get in local establishments, many a times i have tasted their dosa batter to be sour in taste and the chefs and waiters don't really care how the food was and how you are treated.
if you ask the chef, they add soda in idli/dosa batter to ferment, in contrast to other small eateries that you visit, they do it all fresh. i would rate the same for sarvanaa bhavan as well.

Good to see you with family in Chennai
I am so addicted to this channel as I am impressed with the way you articulate and choosing the apt word to describe a particular food as many of the other food reviewers concentrate on food or the surroundings
But my suggestion is you should put a caution in your video as the moment you touch the Centre part of masala dosai or edge of idly acid is secreting in our stomach which may cause ulcer so pl put by saying “ pl have some snacks while watching this video to avoid stomach problem”
Jokes apart I find you are not that impressed with Chennai idly as it would have been prepared and kept in hot box and not freshly made
Though the waiter said 10 mts you were not convinced as I could see from your facial reaction
I think the difference between blore and here is there they use idly rava whereas here they grind it so fine so idly tend to lose its softness if not served immdly
I suggest you could ask sagar or mtr or Raghavendra kind of guys to open an outlet in Chennai so that both blore and Chennaites can have best of both locations
Chennai is famous for sambhar as we do not put jaggery and red chutney and mint chutney whereas blore varieties and udlues and dosas of Brahmin cafe seems to be extraordinary
Pl open your own outlet at both these locations as you have mastered all dishes now especially dosa idly vada and thuppa Mysore park
Wish you many more years of such wonderful videos
    Thanks

Mrs Sri's Tamil is a delight to listen to! I'm guessing from her accent that she is either a Chennai-vaasi by birth or that she grew up there. It would be great to get her take on how Chennai's food scene has changed between her childhood and now. We all have our experiences, but it would be wonderful to hear of her particular views. Many of the old restaurants have gone - Modern Cafe, Dasaprakash, the original Palimar etc from what I have been told. Sangeetha was a new and very popular restaurant when I left. For it to have forty branches now is a testament to the quality of food served there. Thank you for yet another wonderful review!

As a food lover, I have seen a lot of food vlogs on RUclips, but the way you describe the taste and the ingredients you encounter in each morsel, is something that makes Kripal Amanna stand apart from all food vloggers.
Undoubtedly, South Indian food is healthy, light, tasty and satisfying. 👍
